Waste Stream Recovery Conversion Technologies
A disclosed system and method are configured to process waste via a frontend processing module configured to crush, grind, aggregate and concentrate waste from a coarse material to a finer material including an iterative reprocessing of any oversized components. The disclosed system also includes a classifying module to separate the coarse material from the finer material via a process water and at least one microgrinder and fractioning centrifuge. The disclosed system further comprises a backend processing module configured for further classifying the respective coarse and fine material for energy production and dewatering, recovering and combusting component materials. System submodules are configured to microgrind and gasify or pyrolize a resulting particle slurry into a combustible synthetic gas release for electricity generation and heat. The system is applied to waste recovery of waste glass, electronics waste, coal piles, coal water fuels, biofuels, algae lipid oils, and various precious minerals.
Method and apparatus for recycling laminated windshields
A method for separating glass from a laminate of glass and binder by breaking sheets of laminated glass into pieces; placing the pieces into a chamber with water; and then pressurizing the chamber, whereby the glass separates from binder; and removing the separated glass from the chamber. The separation can be enhanced by agitating and alternately pressurizing the chamber and freezing the water in the chamber.
DEVICE FOR BREAKING GLASS
A device for breaking glass articles, such as bottles, the device comprising an inlet to receive an article. A conduit links the inlet with a glass-breaking chamber, and the chamber houses a glass-breaking member, said glass-breaking member being rotatably mounted for rotation in a vertical plane, and to impact a bottle as a bottle enters the chamber. A motor is linked via a horizontally rotating axle to rotate the glass-breaking member. An obliquely mounted crusher plate is located such that as the glass-breaking member rotates and impacts a glass article, which is forced against the crusher plate by the glass-breaking member to aid breakage of a glass article. A collector is included in which broken glass is retained ready for removal from the device. An intermediate collector is also included to temporarily retain broken glass, including a release valve allowing broken glass to pass from the intermediate collector to the collector, via an aperture therebetween.
RECYCLING APPARATUS FOR SOLAR CELL MODULE
To provide a recycling apparatus for a solar cell module capable of peeling off and separating a glass substrate which has been accidentally broken reliably and readily from another material. It includes: a pressing and fixing unit 10 that has a pressing and fixing jig 11 and a conveying unit 20 including a slide surface plate 22 and that pushes and conveys a solar cell module 100 so as to slide on the slide surface plate to a downstream side in a state of pressing, fixing and holding it with the pressing and fixing jig; a cutter unit 30 that, with respect to the held solar cell module, separates a glass substrate 101 and another material from each other using a cutting tool; a downstream pushing-out and carrying-out unit 40 that, given the separated glass substrate, conveys it to the downstream side; and a controlling unit 60 that controls operation of each means, wherein the pressing and fixing jig has a pressing and fixing jig base board 12 that moves upward and downward with an upward and downward motion mechanism, and a module end face abutting member 16, and presses, fixes and holds a surface of the solar cell module on the slide surface plate with the pressing and fixing jig base board in a state of bringing an upstream-side end face of the solar cell module into contact with itself with the module end face abutting member, thereby making it possible to peel off and separate the glass substrate from the other material even in a state where it is broken.
Recycled glass pozzolan for concrete
An apparatus for producing pozzolanic material from consumer waste includes a glass separator unit to remove glass material from the waste and a size reduction unit downstream the glass separator unit. The glass separator unit includes a tubular outer member and an inner helical member extending inwardly from the inner surface of the tubular outer member and defining an open central bore. The tubular outer member and the open central bore define respective coaxial longitudinal axes that are disposed at an angle relative to a horizontal reference plane, with the inlet higher than the outlet. Non-glass/non-ceramic material is output through the open outlet end of tubular outer member utilizing a flow of water. The glass/ceramic material is output to the size reduction unit through the open inlet end of the tubular outer member utilizing the rotating inner helical member of the glass separator unit.
