09831614 · 2017-11-28 · ·

A connector cage includes a bezel, having a plurality of slots formed therein, and a cage structure including upper and lower sides and multiple partitions extending between the upper and lower sides to define receptacles for receiving cable connectors. Multiple tabs protrude out of at least one of the sides in locations at which the tabs fit into the slots in the bezel, and are folded over the slots so as to secure the cage structure to the bezel. The cage may also include multiple snap-on spring subassemblies, each spring subassembly secured to a front end of a respective partition and comprising leaves that bow outward to contact the shells of the connectors that are inserted into the receptacles adjacent to the partition.

Energy absorber elements and vehicle systems

In some embodiments, an energy absorber element can comprise: a first support wall and a second support wall, a crush wall joining the first and second support walls together to define a deformable zone; a connection mechanism configured to connect the first and/or second support wall to a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method for using an energy absorber element in a vehicle can comprise: detachably connecting an energy absorber element to a vehicle at a support location for a vehicle component, once the energy absorber element has absorbed energy, detaching the energy absorber element from the vehicle; and separately replacing the energy absorber element from the vehicle component. In some embodiments, the vehicle component is not replaced.

Windscreen wiper device

A windscreen wiper device includes a wiper blade having at least one groove, in which a longitudinal strip is disposed. A connecting device for an oscillating arm includes, at least two parts provided with protrusion/hole features arranged for detachably connecting the parts together through a snapping operation. The first part is retained onto the wiper blade and the second part comprises a channel arranged for inserting the oscillating arm therein.

Grommet and method of use thereof

A grommet is at least partially comprised of a clear, rigid material is disclosed. The body of the grommet tapers from a proximal end to a distal end, allowing the grommet to be guided into a hole in a post of a handrail system. The interior of the body includes an longitudinal cannulation open to the exterior of the grommet via a helical cut in the surface, allowing for a wire rope to pass through. The grommet can be installed whether or not a wire rope has previously been passed through a railing post.

Guide pin assembly for metal forming dies and method
09776233 · 2017-10-03 · ·

A guide pin assembly for metal forming dies includes a cylindrical guide pin body with an external retainer groove adjacent one end thereof in which a retainer ring is received. An annular guide pin ring with an outside diameter greater than the pin body, has a counterbore adjacent the outside end thereof and a retainer groove in a medial portion thereof which receives the outer portion of the retainer ring to securely interconnect the pin body and the ring and thereby form an enlarged head at one end of the pin body which positively limits reciprocal motion between two associated die members. A circular guide pin head cap covers the outer end of the head ring, and includes a support collar that is closely received in the counterbore of the ring, and engages the retainer ring to securely hold the same in place.

Customizable modular storage unit organizer apparatus, system and method of using same
09743765 · 2017-08-29 ·

A customizable modular storage unit organizer apparatus with a pair of slides, a pair of slide covers, a pair of cross bars, a pair of retainer clips, and a container for storing articles within the apparatus. The cross bars extend between, are affixed to the slide covers, and have two distal ends, top, bottom, first and second side portions, a slot extending longitudinally along the length of the exterior surface of cross bars for accommodating attachments. The retainer clips allow the slide covers to be selectively, repeatedly, and releasably retained to the slides. The size of the enclosure formed between the slide covers and cross bars may be modified by adjusting the positions of the cross bars on the slide covers.

Locking assembly for securing electronic equipment within an equipment rack

A locking assembly is provided for securing an electronic module to a chassis of a rack enclosure within a mounting slot of the chassis. The locking assembly includes a lock configured to be secured to a vertical rail of the chassis. The lock further is configured to prevent the electronic module from being slidably installed into and removed from its respective mounting slot and to prevent a latch of the electronic module from being opened when the electronic module is secured in place within the chassis of the rack enclosure. The locking assembly further includes a key configured to enable the lock to be removed from the chassis thereby enabling the installation and removal of the electronic module from the chassis.

Hair clippers with flexing electrically adjustable blades
09731424 · 2017-08-15 ·

A flex clipper provides a feature to help the cutting blade set float more effortlessly by adjusting automatically to the contours of a client's head to prevent getting stuck and causing cuts and irritation to the scalp. The hair clippers preferably also uses a self-contained motor-driven adjustment mechanism to adjust the relative position of the stationary and reciprocating blades of a common type of blade set. Two momentary switches operable by the thumb of the hand holding the clipper afford a barber total automatic adjustment with the clipper itself in an on or off condition.

Beam bar snap in an electronic device
09723730 · 2017-08-01 · ·

This is directed to a hook and receiving element combination for securing components forming the shell of an electronic device. The receiving element can include a beam connected to the outer shell component and operative to deflect as the hook element approaches the receiving element. To limit deflections of the outer shell component, the beam can be restrained at opposing ends in directions perpendicular to the beam length, but free to slide along the beam axis. In some embodiments, the receiving element can include a lip for guiding the deflection of the beam as the beam contacts the hook element. In particular, the lip can ensure that the beam deflects at an angle relative to the hook element motion such that a smaller hook element motion is required to engage the beam.

Flex assembly of pallet base and deck

Resin pallets having a deck and a base, where the deck and base are joined by an interlock, which is optionally reversible, are described. Methods of making such pallets by assembling the pallets by interlocking parts to form the pallets, in an optionally reversible method, are also described.
