Cleaning system incorporating stitch bonded cleaning pad with multi-filament stitches
10925457 · 2021-02-23 · ·

A cleaning pad structure of stitch bonded construction incorporating one or more substrate layers of an absorbent nonwoven material with an optional additional fluid blocking substrate layer of polymer film or other suitable material in juxtaposed relation to the absorbent nonwoven layers. Stitching yarns are introduced in stitching relation through the substrate layers. One face of the pad defines a cleaning surface of raised yarn loops formed by the stitched yarns. The pad further includes an attachment surface facing away from the cleaning surface. The stitches of yarns across the attachment surface define an engagement surface for attachment to cooperating hooking elements across a surface of a mop head to define a hook and loop attachment system.

A carpet product including a primary backing layer and a plurality of yarn tufts. The plurality of yarn tufts are tufted in and extend upwardly from a top surface of the primary backing layer to form a tufted carpet product. The carpet product has an inner portion and a peripheral portion surrounding at least a portion of the inner portion and extending along at least one of the edges of the primary backing layer. The plurality of yarn tufts include a plurality of peripheral yarn tufts positioned within the peripheral portion of the tufted carpet product. A portion of the peripheral yarn tufts are anchored to other peripheral yarn tufts. At least a portion of each anchored peripheral yarn tuft is entangled with one or more of the other peripheral yarn tufts.

Extruded nib design for automotive floor mats

A floor mat and a method of forming thereof, wherein the floor mat includes a backing layer embossed to provide a plurality of nibs extending from a surface of the backing layer while the backing layer remains molten. Each of the nibs is tiered, including a frusto-conical base and a tip extending from the frusto-conical base, the nibs having a maximum diameter in the range of 0.5 to 3.0 mm and an overall height in the range of 1.5 mm to 5 mm. In addition, each nib is located within a column and a row and is offset from at least one other nib present in the column and at least one other nib present in the row.

ZONED TOPSHEET

A disposable absorbent article is disclosed. A topsheet forms a portion of the wearer-facing surface, wherein the topsheet is a film and a nonwoven. The topsheet further includes a pair of edge regions and a central region disposed inboard of the pair of edge regions. The central region has a first plurality of apertures, and the edge regions have a second plurality of apertures, wherein the second plurality of apertures are smaller than the first plurality of apertures. The disposable absorbent article also includes a backsheet forming a portion of the garment-facing surface and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet.

Two Part Floor Covering

A two part floor covering useful for entranceway is provided having a mat overlaying a base. A fastening system incorporating a mushroom-type fastener is provided, whereby the mat can be laid on the base and positioned as desired, without the fastening system engaging. When the mat is aligned with the base, downward pressure on the mat engages the fastening system and restricts the mat from slipping laterally or lifting vertically. Alignment and deployment of the textile component with the base component in an efficient manner is also described herein.

CLEANING AND PERSONAL CARE ARTICLES

A textile sheet element having selectively applied arrays of surface projection elements defining raised zones across an active surface for cleaning and/or personal care, The textile sheet element is adapted for use by itself and/or for attachment to a user manipulated support with or without a handle such as a mop head or the like.

Zoned topsheet

A disposable absorbent article is disclosed herein. The disposable absorbent article includes a topsheet forming a portion of a wearer-facing surface, the topsheet being a composite or laminate structure having a first side and an opposing second side, the composite or laminate structure having a first layer and a second layer, wherein the first layer is a nonwoven and the second layer is a film, the topsheet having a pair of edge regions at least partially disposed on the wings and a central region disposed inboard of the pair of edge regions, wherein the pair of edge regions include a first plurality of discontinuities and the central region comprises a second plurality of discontinuities, wherein the first plurality of discontinuities and the second plurality of discontinuities are different; a backsheet forming a portion of the garment-facing surface; and an absorbent core disposed between the topsheet and the backsheet.

Stabilization of looped fabric surfaces by fine-scale embossing

A fabric made of yarns interlooping with each other or passing through an inner layer at looping intervals. The fabric is embossed with a micro-pattern extending into the yarns or into a layer underneath the fabric. The micro-pattern contains a pre-defined pattern of a plurality of binding points attaching the yarns to the inner layer or to the added underlayer. This micro-pattern has an inter-point spacing between adjacent binding points that is less than the interlooping intervals. The fabric can also be embossed with a macro-pattern separate from and coarser than the micro-pattern. The macro-pattern establishes a desired aesthetic in the fabric, and the micro-pattern does not interfere with the desired aesthetic.
