Odor-Eliminating Insole

Abstract

An odor-eliminating insole increases comfort, eliminates odor, and reduces moisture. The odor-eliminating insole comprises a quantity of odor-eliminating material, a quantity of desiccant, an ergonomic shoe insert, and a decorative cover. The quantity of odor-eliminating material neutralizes odor. The quantity of desiccant reduces moisture. The ergonomic shoe insert houses the quantity of odor-eliminating material and the quantity of desiccant. Additionally, the ergonomic increases comfort when wearing footwear. The decorative cover adds an aesthetic aspect to the odor-eliminating insole.

Claims

1. An odor-eliminating insole comprising: a quantity of odor-eliminating material; a quantity of desiccant; an ergonomic shoe insert; a decorative cover; the quantity of odor-eliminating material and the quantity of desiccant being integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert; and the ergonomic shoe insert being enclosed by the decorative cover.

2. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1 comprising: a shoe-fastening mechanism; the ergonomic shoe insert comprising a top face and a bottom face; and the shoe-fastening mechanism being externally connected to the decorative cover, adjacent to the bottom face.

3. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 2, wherein the shoe-fastening mechanism is at least one adhesive strip.

The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1 comprising: the decorative cover comprising a cover body, a cover opening, and a cover fastener; the cover fastener comprising a first interlocking piece and a second interlocking piece; the cover opening traversing into the cover body; the cover opening delineating a first opening edge of the decorative cover and a second opening edge of the decorative cover; the first interlocking piece being connected along the first opening edge; the second interlocking piece being connected along the second opening edge; and the first interlocking piece being releasably engaged to the second interlocking piece.

5. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1, wherein the quantity of odor-eliminating material is charcoal.

6. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1, wherein the quantity of desiccant is charcoal.

7. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1, wherein the ergonomic shoe insert is made of a foam material.

8. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 1, wherein the decorative cover is made of a fabric material.

9. An odor-eliminating insole comprising: a quantity of odor-eliminating material; a quantity of desiccant; an ergonomic shoe insert; a decorative cover; a shoe-fastening mechanism; the ergonomic shoe insert comprising a top face and a bottom face; the quantity of odor-eliminating material and the quantity of desiccant being integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert; the ergonomic shoe insert being enclosed by the decorative cover; and the shoe-fastening mechanism being externally connected to the decorative cover, adjacent to the bottom face.

10. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9, wherein the shoe-fastening mechanism is at least one adhesive strip.

The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9 comprising: the decorative cover comprising a cover body, a cover opening, and a cover fastener; the cover fastener comprising a first interlocking piece and a second interlocking piece; the cover opening traversing into the cover body; the cover opening delineating a first opening edge of the decorative cover and a second opening edge of the decorative cover; the first interlocking piece being connected along the first opening edge; the second interlocking piece being connected along the second opening edge; the first interlocking piece being releasably engaged to the second interlocking piece;

12. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9, wherein the quantity of odor-eliminating material is charcoal.

13. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9, wherein the quantity of desiccant is charcoal.

14. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9, wherein the ergonomic shoe insert is made of a foam material.

15. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 9, wherein the decorative cover is made of a fabric material.

16. An odor-eliminating insole comprising: a quantity of odor-eliminating material; a quantity of desiccant; an ergonomic shoe insert; a decorative cover; a shoe-fastening mechanism; the ergonomic shoe insert comprising a top face and a bottom face; the decorative cover comprising a cover body, a cover opening, and a cover fastener; the cover fastener comprising a first interlocking piece and a second interlocking piece; the quantity of odor-eliminating material and the quantity of desiccant being integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert; the ergonomic shoe insert being enclosed by the decorative cover; the shoe-fastening mechanism being externally connected to the decorative cover, adjacent to the bottom face; the cover opening traversing into the cover body; the cover opening delineating a first opening edge of the decorative cover and a second opening edge of the decorative cover; the first interlocking piece being connected along the first opening edge; the second interlocking piece being connected along the second opening edge; the first interlocking piece being releasably engaged to the second interlocking piece; the quantity of odor-eliminating material is charcoal; and the quantity of desiccant is charcoal.

17. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 16, wherein the shoe-fastening mechanism is at least one adhesive strip.

18. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 16, wherein the ergonomic shoe insert is made of a foam material.

19. The odor-eliminating insole as claimed in claim 16, wherein the decorative cover is made of a fabric material.

[0013] In reference to FIGS. 1 through 7, the present invention is an odor-eliminating insole that increases comfort, eliminates odor, and reduces moisture. The present invention can be inserted into most types of footwear including, but not limited to, sneakers, oxfords, or boots. The present invention comprises a quantity of odor-eliminating material 1, a quantity of desiccant 2, an ergonomic shoe insert 3, and a decorative cover 6. The quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 neutralizes odor. The quantity of desiccant 2 further reduces moisture. The ergonomic shoe insert 3 houses the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 and the quantity of desiccant 2 and the ergonomic shoe insert 3 increases comfort when wearing footwear. Additionally, the ergonomic shoe insert 3 may be shaped and designed to fit various types of footwear. The decorative cover 6 adds an aesthetic aspect to the present invention.

[0014] The general configuration of the aforementioned components allows the present invention to increase comfort, eliminate odor, and reduce moisture. As mentioned previously and with reference to FIG. 6, the ergonomic shoe insert 3 houses the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 and the quantity of desiccant 2. More specifically, the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 and the quantity of desiccant 2 are integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert 3. In order for the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 and the quantity of desiccant 2 to be effective while integrated within the ergonomic shoe insert 3, the ergonomic shoe insert 3 is preferably made of a porous and comfortable material. In the preferred embodiment, the ergonomic shoe insert 3 is preferably made of a foam material. Thus, the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 can effectively neutralize odor and the quantity of desiccant 2 can reduce moisture while being integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert 3. In further detail, the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 neutralizes odor by absorbing odor through the ergonomic shoe insert 3 and the quantity of desiccant 2 absorbs moisture through the ergonomic shoe insert 3. The quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 can be any of type of material that neutralizes odor. In the preferred embodiment, the quantity of odor-eliminating material 1 is preferably charcoal. Similarly, the quantity of desiccant 2 is preferably charcoal. Alternatively, the quantity of desiccant may be any type of drying agent such as, but no limited to, silica gel, bauxite, calcium sulfate, or montmorillonite clay. Furthermore and with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2, the ergonomic shoe insert 3 is enclosed by the decorative cover 6. Thus, an aesthetic aspect is added to the present invention. The decorative cover 6 is preferably made of fabric material such as, but not limited to, cotton, polyester, or a combination thereof. The decorative cover 6 may include various designs ranging from simple patterns to colorful art, and to designs from the entertainment field. In one embodiment of the present invention, the decorative cover 6 is preferably sewn onto the ergonomic shoe insert 3 in order to prevent the ergonomic shoe insert 3 from sliding within the decorative cover 6. Moreover in the same embodiment, in order to prevent the ergonomic shoe insert 3 from sliding within the decorative cover 6, an inner seam edge of the decorative cover 6 is S-shaped.

[0015] In order to prevent the present invention from sliding within the footwear and with reference to FIGS. 2 through 4, the present invention may further comprise a shoe-fastening mechanism 14. The shoe-fastening mechanism 14 may be any type of fastener which allows the attachment between the present invention and footwear. The ergonomic shoe insert 3 comprises a top face 4 and a bottom face 5. The shoe-fastening mechanism 14 is externally connected to the decorative cover 6, adjacent to the bottom face 5. Further, the shoe-fastening mechanism 14 is preferably at least one adhesive strip. Thus, the decorative cover 6 can be adhered to the insole of footwear through the shoe-fastening mechanism 14 in order to prevent the present invention from sliding within the footwear.

[0016] In order to maintain or replace the ergonomic shoe insert 3 and with reference to FIG. 7, the decorative cover 6 comprises a cover body 7, a cover opening 8, and a cover fastener 9. As the present invention goes through wear and tear, the ergonomic insert may lose its odor-eliminating and moisture-reducing effect. In order to replenish these effects or to fully replace the ergonomic shoe insert 3, the cover opening 8 allows a user to access the ergonomic shoe insert 3. The cover fastener 9 conceals or reveals the inside of the decorative cover 6. The cover fastener 9 may be any type of fastener such as, but not limited to, a belt and buckle faster, a zipper, or a hook-and-loop fastener. Further, the cover fastener 9 comprises a first interlocking piece 10 and a second interlocking piece 11 and, thus, the cover fastener 9 is preferably a hook-and-loop fastener. The cover opening 8 traverses into the cover body 7 and delineates a first opening edge 12 of the decorative cover 6 and a second opening edge 13 of the decorative cover 6. This arrangement allows a user to access the inside of the decorative cover 6 and, therefore, access the ergonomic shoe insert 3. The first interlocking piece 10 is connected along the first opening edge 12. In more detail, the first interlocking piece 10 is sewn or adhered along the first opening edge 12. Further, the first interlocking piece 10 may be the hooks or the loops of a hook-and-loop fastener. Similarly, the second interlocking piece 11 is connected along the second opening edge 13. In more detail, the second interlocking piece 11 is sewn or adhered along the second opening edge 13. Further, the second interlocking piece 11 may be the hooks or the loops of a hook-and-loop fastener. The first interlocking piece 10 is releasably engaged to the second interlocking piece 11. This arrangement allows the cover fastener 9 to conceal or reveal the inside of the decorative cover 6. Thus, a user can access the ergonomic shoe insert 3 in order to maintain or fully replace the ergonomic shoe insert 3 as needed. Alternatively, the cover opening 8 allows the user to remove the ergonomic shoe insert 3 from the decorative cover 6 in order to situate the ergonomic shoe insert 3 into another decorative cover 6. In more detail, a user can switch decorative covers 6 if the user desires a different design for the present invention.

[0017] In another embodiment and in order for the present invention to further neutralize odor, the present invention may further comprise a quantity of second odor-eliminating material. The quantity of second odor-eliminating material may be an odor powder in order to further neutralize odor. The quantity of second odor-eliminating material is integrated throughout the ergonomic shoe insert 3.
