DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

[0025] FIG. 1 illustrates a precious stone decorated sanitizer/perfume holder or container 10 having a main body 12 that is polygonal in shape, but which can be round, square or any geometric shape. The body 12 includes a first ring feature 14, a second ring feature 16 and a proximate cap 18 that preferably is decorated all around its outer surface with precious stones 19. The precious stones 19 can be actual diamonds, faux diamonds or any other type of precious stones. The handle 20 enables a necklace, chain or any type of string-like component to be threaded therethrough for supporting the sanitizer/perfume holder 10 about one's neck, or dangling from an arm or affixed to an article of clothing such as to a pocketbook or belt and the like.

[0026] The bottom of the holder 10 has an end cap 22 which like at the top end cap is preferably decorated, jewelry style, with surface features, e.g., diamond cut gold, precious stones as widely known and practiced in the jewelry field.

[0027] FIG. 2 provides an elevational view of the holder 10 of FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 is similarly an elevational view turned 90° relative to FIG. 2. FIG. 6 illustrates a necklace or chain 24 with a closure 25 that can come in different sizes depending on whether the jewelry style holder 10 is donned around one's neck, about one's wrist or connected to an article of clothing.

[0028] As shown in FIG. 7, when the end cap 22 has been removed, it exposes that the holder 10 holds within a sanitizer or perfume canister 30 that has an actuating head 32, facing downward. In FIG. 8, the canister 30 is illustrated to have a dispensing nozzle 34 in the actuating head 32. FIG. 10 shows a top end view of the holder 10 and FIG. 11 bottom end view thereof. In FIG. 12, the same holder 10 is shown with the optional chain 24, previously described.

[0029] Further details about the sanitizer/perfume holder are shown in FIG. 13 which shows the holder 10 in an exploded view with the bottom decorative cap 22 removed. Normally, with the end cap 22 connected magnetically or otherwise to the holder body 12, the overall appearance is that of a piece of jewelry. The jewelry can be dangled by the chain 24 which passes through the handle or hook 20, as previously described. In use, the person merely turns the piece of jewelry downside up, presses the actuator 32 and applies to her hands, face or any other body part either the aerosolized sanitizer liquid or a perfume or the like.

[0030] The canister 30 can be held inside the hollowed interior space of the holder 10 by frictionally engaging the interior wall of the holder. Alternatively, the base of the canister (not shown) may have a rim that is slightly larger in diameter and which connects, through a tongue/groove mechanism, with a similar feature provided on the interior surface wall of the holder 10.

[0031] While the invention has been described in relation to an aerosolized quantity of sanitizer liquid or perfume, it is not so limited and is applicable to the dispensing of other liquids, e.g., mouthwash, soap water and the like. Of importance, however, is that the overall package conveys the appearance of a piece of jewelry and thereby helps meet the desire of the carrier of the holder 10 to both have and simultaneously obscure that she is carrying a sanitizer dispenser.

[0032] In accordance with other embodiments, the first and second rings 14 and 16 may be threaded to one another (not shown) and the top of the holder 10 may be opened and the sanitizer dispenser inserted from the top so it protrudes at the bottom of the holder, which has a slightly narrower diameter so that the dispenser will not fall out when the end cap 22 is removed.

[0033] Although the present invention has been described in relation to particular embodiments thereof, many other variations and modifications and other uses will become apparent to those skilled in the art. It is preferred, therefore, that the present invention be limited not by the specific disclosure herein, but only by the appended claims.
