Abstract
An effluent dispenser has a canister body with a dispensing end for dispensing the effluent, a holding body having a hollowed interior which the canister is supported interiorly therein and a holder surface that is adorned with jewelry features, including precious stones. The holder has an end cap that conceals the dispensing end of the canister, so that the dispenser has the overall appearance of a piece of jewelry.
Claims
1. A jewelry style effluent dispenser, comprising: a canister body with a dispensing end for dispensing the effluent; a canister holder having a hollowed interior in which the canister is supported interiorly therein; and the canister holder including an outer holder surface that is adorned with jewelry features, including precious stones; and an end cap that is removeably fixable to the canister holder, and constructed to conceal the dispensing end of the canister so that the dispenser has the overall appearance of a piece of jewelry.
2. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the dispenser has the appearance of a pencil or pen adorned with the precious stones.
3. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the end cap is magnetically held to the canister holder.
4. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the end cap is held to the canister holder by friction.
5. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the end cap is threadedly securable to the canister holder.
6. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the canister body is frictionally engaged with an interior surface inside the holder.
7. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, including a tethering chord extending between the holder and the end cap, configured to allow the end cap to dangle from the holder, when the end cap is removed to expose the dispensing end of the canister body.
8. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the effluent is a perfumed fluid.
9. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the effluent is a sanitizing fluid.
10. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, including a holding chain by which the dispenser is able to be supported on a wrist or around the neck of a wearer of the dispenser.
11. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the canister holder has a polygonal cross-sectional shape.
12. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 11, wherein the end cap is dimensioned to house within an interior thereof the dispensing end of the canister body.
13. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 11, wherein the end cap has a pointed end that imparts to the dispenser a sharpened pencil shape.
14. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 11, wherein the end cap has an outer surface that is decorated with precious stones.
15. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the precious stones are diamonds.
16. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the dispenser has a lengthwise dimension, with the end cap attached thereto, measuring from 3 to 6 inches.
17. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the holder has a cross sectional dimension in the range from one to two inches.
18. The jewelry style effluent dispenser of claim 1, wherein the canister body is constructed to dispense the effluent as an aerosol fluid.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION
[0025]
[0026] The bottom of the holder 10 has an end cap 22 which like at the top end cap is preferably decorated, jewelry style, with surface features, e.g., diamond cut gold, precious stones as widely known and practiced in the jewelry field.
[0027]
[0028] As shown in
[0029] Further details about the sanitizer/perfume holder are shown in
[0030] The canister 30 can be held inside the hollowed interior space of the holder 10 by frictionally engaging the interior wall of the holder. Alternatively, the base of the canister (not shown) may have a rim that is slightly larger in diameter and which connects, through a tongue/groove mechanism, with a similar feature provided on the interior surface wall of the holder 10.
[0031] While the invention has been described in relation to an aerosolized quantity of sanitizer liquid or perfume, it is not so limited and is applicable to the dispensing of other liquids, e.g., mouthwash, soap water and the like. Of importance, however, is that the overall package conveys the appearance of a piece of jewelry and thereby helps meet the desire of the carrier of the holder 10 to both have and simultaneously obscure that she is carrying a sanitizer dispenser.
[0032] In accordance with other embodiments, the first and second rings 14 and 16 may be threaded to one another (not shown) and the top of the holder 10 may be opened and the sanitizer dispenser inserted from the top so it protrudes at the bottom of the holder, which has a slightly narrower diameter so that the dispenser will not fall out when the end cap 22 is removed.
[0033] Although the present invention has been described in relation to particular embodiments thereof, many other variations and modifications and other uses will become apparent to those skilled in the art. It is preferred, therefore, that the present invention be limited not by the specific disclosure herein, but only by the appended claims.
