Abstract
A wearable illuminating device is provided. The wearable illuminating device includes a band having a first end and a second end, wherein the ends can removably couple via a band fastener to secure the band to a wrist of a wearer. In a closed configuration, the ends are coupled together forming a closed loop sized to receive the wrist of the wearer. A plurality of light sources is positioned about the band and each light source is able to emit light from a forward end. In this way, the wearable illuminating device frees up the wearer's hand to perform a task more adequately. Moreover, a forward end of each light source extends past a forward edge of the band, wherein an uninterrupted ray of light is emitted therefrom and is made to illuminate an object, free from an umbra or shadow generated by the plurality of light source.
Claims
1. A wearable illuminating device, comprising: a band having a first end and a second end, wherein the ends are adapted to removably couple and transition between an open configuration and a closed configuration via a band fastener, wherein the closed configuration the ends are coupled together forming a closed loop sized to receive a wrist of a user therein; a plurality of light sources disposed about the band, wherein each light source is adapted to emit light from a forward end thereof; wherein the forward end of each light source extends past a forward edge of the band, wherein an uninterrupted ray of light is emitted therefrom and is made to illuminate an object, free from an umbra or shadow generated by the plurality of light source; an electrical circuit operably connected to the plurality of light sources having a switch assembly for controlling the plurality of light sources; wherein each light source is positioned around an exterior side of the band and at fixed intervals from an adjacent light source, such that the plurality of light sources are disposed entirely around the band in the closed configuration, resulting in the illumination the object, free from the umbra or shadow generated by the plurality of light source.
2. The wearable illuminating device of claim 1, wherein the plurality of light sources are integral with the band.

4. The wearable illuminating device of claim 1, wherein each light source is oriented parallel to each adjacent light source along a first axis and a second axis, wherein the first axis and the second axis are parallel to an axis of the closed loop.
5. The wearable illuminating device of claim 4, wherein the electrical circuit comprises a charging port adapted to receive an electrical connector to provide electrical power to a power source of the band.
6. The wearable illuminating device of claim 5, wherein the switch assembly comprises a button toggle switch adapted to activate and deactivate the plurality of lights.
7. The wearable illuminating device of claim 6, wherein the button toggle switch is positioned on an exterior of the band and between a pair of adjacent lights of the plurality of lights.
8. The wearable illuminating device of claim 6, wherein the button toggle switch is aligned with the charging port and positioned on adjacent walls.
9. The wearable illuminating device of claim 6, wherein said switch controls the illumination intensity of the plurality of lights.
10. The wearable illuminating device of claim 9, wherein the band fastener comprises mating hook and loop fasteners.

The wearable illuminating device of claim 5, further comprising a mounting support, the mounting support comprising a first side having raised central disk and an annular shoulder therearound, wherein the central disk forms a sidewall therearound, wherein the mounting support is sized to receive the band in a closed configuration around the central disk abutting the sidewall and the shoulder; wherein a second side of the mounting support comprises a fastener for cooperatively securing the mounting support and the band to a surface such as a wall or underside of a hood, wherein the mounting support and the band are cooperatively suspended from the surface in a vertical direction.

13. The wearable illuminating device of claim 11, wherein the fastener comprises a magnetic fastener.
14. The wearable illuminating device of claim 11, wherein a rear side of each of the plurality of lights are adapted to engage the first side of the mounting support.
15. The wearable illuminating device of claim 5, wherein the band and the plurality of light sources are constructed from an integral member.
16. The wearable illuminating device of claim 1, wherein a first light source of the plurality of light sources is disposed opposite a second light source of the plurality of light sources when in the closed configuration.
17. The wearable illuminating device of claim 1, wherein each light source of the plurality of light sources comprises a cylindrical housing.
18. The wearable illuminating device of claim 17, wherein the cylindrical housing extends between opposing outermost lateral edges of the band.
19. The wearable illuminating device of claim 11, wherein the fastener comprises an adhesive or a suction cup.
