BLOCK SYSTEM FOR BOTTLE ROCKET LAUNCHING

Abstract

A block system for launching bottle rockets that includes: a first block, where the first block serves as a base; a second block, where the second block serves as a launching block and is adapted for placement onto the first block during use; a plurality of openings over a top surface of the first block; and a tube vertically extending from each opening. Preferably, the first block includes a handle, where the first block and second block are rectangular cuboids and each tube extends at an angle.

Claims

1. A block system for launching bottle rockets comprising: a. a first block, where the first block serves as a base; b. a second block, where the second block serves as a launching block and is adapted for placement onto the first block during use; c. a plurality of openings over a top surface of the first block; and d. a tube vertically extending from each opening at an angle of less than 90 degrees, where each tube is adapted to receive a bottle rocket.

2. The block system according to claim 1, where the first block includes a handle.

3. The block system according to claim 1, where the first block and second block are rectangular cuboids.

A block system for launching bottle rockets comprising: a. a first block, where the first block serves as a base; b. a second block, where the second block serves as a launching block and is adapted for placement onto the first block during use; c. five openings over a top surface of the first block; and d. a tube vertically extending from each opening at an angle of less than 90 degrees, where each tube is adapted to receive a bottle rocket.

6. The block system according to claim 1, where the first block includes a handle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

[0006] The present invention relates to a block system used as a bottle rocket launcher for consumer fireworks. According to the present invention, a base block is used with a side handle as a base for a second block that includes a plurality of launching tubes extending vertically from the top block. The base block helps a user to maneuver and stabilize the top block for use with consumer bottle rockets.

[0007] In reference to FIG. 1, a base block 15 is depicted and includes a top surface 17. The block 15 is a rectangular cuboid and includes a handle 10 extending from one side of the block 15. Although not shown, the block 17 includes six sides with three sides shown in the prospective view depicted in FIG. 1. FIG. 2 shows a top block 20 that is used in conjunction with the bottom block 15 in FIG. 1. The top block 20 includes a plurality of launching tubes 24 arranged vertically over a top surface 25 of block 20. Each launching tube 24 is inserted into an opening 21 within the top block 20. This configuration as shown in FIG. 2 allows the user to insert a bottle rocket or a series of bottle rockets in the available tubes of the top block 20. As shown 5 tubes extend from the top surface 25. Although this number may be increased or decreased based upon the design considerations for the user. The tubes preferably are slightly angled and not completely vertical extending from top surface 25. The bottom surface 27 of block 20 abuts the top surfaced 17 of bottom block 15. This set up allows a user to maneuver and then securely mount the bottle rockets within the tubes prior to igniting the rockets for display. The present invention provides a secure launching pad as opposed to the traditional use of a glass bottle. Preferably the tubes 24 are made of PVC therefore providing a durable tube for multiple launchings of bottle rockets. The instant invention has been shown and described in what it considers to be the most practical and preferred embodiments. It is recognized, however, that departures may be made there from within the scope of the invention and that obvious modifications will occur to a person skilled in the art.
