Abstract
This case and holster combination features a holster hidden within a generally rectangular holster case disguised as two or more calculator, cell phone and/or other equipment holding cases arranged side-by-side m horizontal alignment. The holster case is designed with a from facing outward opening pistol access flap arranged to close over the holster body so as to hide any firearm placed therein providing a disguised holster case and holster combination which is worn and adapted for lateral cross-draw withdrawal of a firearm holstered in a position where its barrel is substantially horizontal and its handle is substantially vertical. The holster used with the case is preferably detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with the particular firearm being housed, allowing the consumer to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm.
Claims
1. A concealed carry case and holster combination, comprising: a holster case adapted to disguise and contain a firearm holster disposed therein; wherein said holster case as worn by a user has an interior and an exterior with an upward surface, a downward surface, an inward surface, an outward surface, and two end surfaces, where one of said end surfaces is formed by an end flap that can be opened to access the interior of said holster case; wherein said holster case contains a firearm holster in its interior positioned so that a barrel of a firearm disposed therein is in a generally horizontal position and a handle of a firearm disposed therein is adjacent to said end flap; wherein said case is comprised of an outer section and an inner section, with said outer section including the upward surface, downward surface, inward surface, outward surface, and two end surfaces; wherein said outer section is pivotable away from the inner section at the end opposite the openable end, and said inner section is nested within said outer section when the case is closed; and wherein the end flap fastens onto and over a ledge of the inner section which partially blocks withdrawal of a firearm placed in the holster until said holster is pivoted outwardly from the inner section.
2. The combination of claim 1, wherein at least one of said holster case is provided with belt mounting loops on its inward side for easy attachment to the belt of a user for wear, said holster is detachably fastened to the interior of said case such that it can be removed for storage or replacement, said holster is fastened to an interior side of said case in such manner that the handle of a firearm disposed therein can be pivoted away from said interior side, said holster is adapted to position the barrel of a firearm disposed therein proximate the upward surface of said holster case, said holster case is provided with features making it appear to be two or more separate individual equipment holding cases arranged side-by-side in horizontal alignment, and said end flap swings open to the side.
3. The combination of claim 1, wherein said holster is pivotably mounted to said inner section proximate the end opposite the end flap so as to allow the handle of a firearm disposed therein to be pivoted away from said inner section.
4. The combination of claim 2, wherein said holster is pivotably mounted to said inner section proximate the end opposite the end flap so as to allow the handle of a firearm disposed therein to be pivoted away from said inner section.
5. The combination of claim 3, wherein at least one of at least one gusset connected between the inner section and the outer section restricts the amount the outer section can pivot away from the inner section, and said outer section swings open to the side such that both the openable end flap and the outer section can be swung open in a single movement.
6. The combination of claim 4, wherein at least one of at least one gusset connected between the inner section and the outer section restricts the amount the outer section can pivot away from the inner section, and said outer section swings open to the side such that both the end flap and the outer section can be swung open in a single movement.
7. The combination of claim 1, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
8. The combination of claim 2, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
9. The combination of claim 3, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
10. The combination of claim 4, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
11. The combination of claim 5, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
12. The combination of claim 6, wherein at least one of the holster used with the case is detachable and can be made in different shapes and customized for use with a particular firearm being housed, allowing a user to mix and match for best results and conformity to his/her firearm, and said ledge has an opening allowing a user's thumb to be more easily inserted between the holstered firearm and the inner section.
13. A concealed carry case and holster combination, wherein a holster is included in a holster case disguised as two or more separate individual calculator, cell phone or other equipment holding cases arranged side-by-side in horizontal alignment.
14. The combination of claim 13, where the holster case is designed with a front facing outward opening pistol access end flap arranged to close over the holster body so as to hide any firearm placed therein.
15. The combination of claim 14, wherein the holster case with end flap forms a vertically compact horizontally elongate rectangular shape that can be made in different sizes and with different external features as necessary to better disguise its purpose and to accommodate different sized firearms, where said holster case is adapted to contain a firearm holster positioned so that a barrel of a firearm disposed therein is in a generally horizontal position and a handle of a firearm disposed therein is adjacent to said end flap.

DESCRIPTION
[0018] As can best be seen by review of
[0019]
[0020] As previously noted, holster 11 is preferably a separate and separable part of the combination and is chosen and adapted as part of the case 1 and holster 11 combination in view of the particular firearm being used. In the embodiment illustrated, holster 11 is joined by snaps 11A to the inner case section 6, and there is sufficient flexibility in the leather comprising the holster to allow the canting illustrated in subsequent drawing figures. However, holster 11 can be formed from various other suitable materials and/or removably joined to case 1 in various other ways known in the art so long as the flexibility of the juncture, materials, or other allowance is made for the canting required. As previously noted, holster 11 is intended to be removable so that holsters adapted for particular firearms can be substituted to suit the needs of the customer during the sales process and/or can be used by the wearer to substitute different firearms they may own in case 1 with ease. Likewise, the removability of holster 11 allows the user to easily unsnap the holster from the case when not in use, so that the holstered firearm can be stored in a gun safe or similar secured location.
