    Abstract

    A linear light apparatus includes a light strip, a main bracket, two end covers and a bottom holder. The light passing cover has two side arc openings and two lateral bottom edges. The two lateral bottom edges of the light passing cover are respectively attached to two lateral walls of the main bracket. The ladder groove has a central surface and two tilt surfaces. The two tilt surfaces respectively extend from top edges of the two lateral walls to lower the central surface below a bottom line of the side arc opening. The two end covers respectively have a top part and a bottom part. The top parts of the two end covers respectively cover the arc openings of the light passing cover. The bottom parts of the two end covers respectively cover the lateral groove.

    Claims

    1. A linear light apparatus, comprising: a light strip having an elongated substrate mounted with LED modules; a light passing cover, wherein the light passing cover has two side arc openings and two lateral bottom edges; a main bracket, wherein the two lateral bottom edges of the light passing cover are respectively attached to two lateral walls of the main bracket, wherein the ladder groove has a central surface and two tilt surfaces, wherein the two tilt surfaces respectively extend from top edges of the two lateral walls to lower the central surface below a bottom line of the side arc opening, wherein the central surface is used for mounting the light strip; two end covers, wherein the two end covers respectively have a top part and a bottom part, wherein the top parts of the two end covers respectively cover the arc openings of the light passing cover, the bottom parts of the two end covers respectively covers the lateral groove; and a bottom holder for attaching to the two lateral walls of the main bracket, wherein the bottom holder has two block plates on two opposite sides of the bottom holder, wherein the bottom part of the end cover is kept between the block plate and the main bracket.

    2. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the bottom part of the end cover has a rib unit inserted into a receiver unit of the main bracket to position and to attach the end cover to the main bracket.

    3. The linear light apparatus of claim 2, wherein the rib unit has multiple protruding strips sliding into tracks of the receiver unit of the main bracket.

    4. The linear light apparatus of claim 3, wherein the light strip is inserted to the central surface of the main bracket via the track of the main bracket.

    5. The linear light apparatus of claim 3, wherein the protruding strips are supported by reinforcing ribs, wherein the reinforcing ribs are perpendicular to the top part of the end cover.

    6. The linear light apparatus of claim 5, wherein the reinforcing rib is a triangular structure.

    7. The linear light apparatus of claim 5, wherein the protruding strips are on a protruding plate, the protruding plate is perpendicular to the reinforcing ribs.

    8. The linear light apparatus of claim 5, wherein a top edge of the block plate engages a bottom edge of the top part of the end cover.

    9. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein one block plate has a socket for connecting to an external power source.

    10. The linear light apparatus of claim 9, wherein another socket of the other block plate is used for inserting an extension module, the extension module has a circuit for extending a function of a driver providing a driving current of the light strip.

    11. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the block plate only engages the bottom part of the end cover, not engages the top part of the end cover.

    12. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the bottom holder has two side walls, wherein the side wall has a first buckle unit for attaching to a second buckle unit of the lateral wall of the main bracket.

    13. The linear light apparatus of claim 12, wherein the main bracket is made by bending a metal plate.

    14. The linear light apparatus of claim 13, wherein the second buckle unit is a bent edge of the metal plate.

    15. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the top part of the end cover has a peripheral groove for aligning and inserting an arc edge of the light passing cover, wherein the art edge defines the arc opening.

    16. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a driver disposed in a driver space enclosed by the main bracket and the bottom holder.

    17. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the block plate is a made by folding an edge part of the bottom holder.

    18. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the tilt surfaces have reflective layers for reflecting a light of the light strip to the light passing cover.

    19. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the tilt surfaces are mounted with an additional light source, wherein the additional light source has a different optical parameter from the LED modules on the light strip.

    20. The linear light apparatus of claim 1, wherein the bottom holder has an air flow channel for heat dissipation.
