    Description

    DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0003] The intention of the drawings attached to the application is not to limit the scope of the invention and its application, but only to illustrate the invention and they constitute only one of its many possible implementations.

[0004] FIG. 1 depicts the disposable paper cover.

[0005] FIG. 2 depicts a cross sectional view of the disposable paper cover.

[0006] FIG. 3 illustrates a cross sectional view of the disposable waterproof paper cover for a plate when warped on a plate.

[0007] FIG. 4 depicts the disposable paper cover.

[0008] FIG. 5 depicts a cross sectional view of the disposable paper cover.

    THE INVENTION

[0009] The main object of the present invention is to provide a disposable waterproof paper cover (1) for a plate (100) and a disposable waterproof paper cover (2) for a cup (200) wherein the disposable waterproof paper covers have a corrugated circumferential rim (11) that is designed to wrap the rim (101) of the plate or of the cup from its underside (102). FIG. 1 illustrates the disposable waterproof paper cover for a plate and FIG. 2 illustrates its cross-section, and FIG. 4 illustrates the disposable waterproof paper cover for a cup and FIG. 5 illustrates its cross-section.

[0010] The disposable waterproof paper covers should be made of thin paper, such as baking paper or paper used to make standard paper baking cups (knows also as muffins cups) but it should be waterproofed (and preferably oil-proof) so that it does not turn into a pulp when the food or drink is placed on it or poured into it. Such paper is not a particularly ecological problem as a contrary to the plastic plates and cups and is not relatively expensive as a contrary to the paper plates and cups. The methods for making the corrugated circumferential rim are known to experts in the field, and it is common to make such corrugations for baking cups, for example.

[0011] The user can place the disposable waterproof paper cover on a standard plate (e.g. a reusable plate made of plastic, ceramic and any other material), wrap the rim of the plate (101) with the corrugated circumferential rim (11) of the disposable waterproof paper cover as illustrated in FIG. 3, put the food on the covered plate, and in the end of the meal the user can remove the cover along with the leftover food over the plate and throw in the trash. The explanations in this paragraph also apply to the cup cover with the required modifications.

[0012] The plate stays clean unlike plates eaten on them in the usual way. Although it is advisable to wash the plate for hygienic reasons, it is a light rinse as it will stay substantial clean, and if it is a picnic outdoors then the plates can be washed after returning home. It is recommended that the shape of the cover be round to match the ordinary shape of plates. The cover can also be manufactured in a variety of diameters to fit a variety of plate sizes. Moreover, a package of covers of a certain diameter can be sold together with a reusable plate of a matching diameter. The explanations in this paragraph also apply to the cup cover with the required modifications.
