DESCRIPTION OF ILLUSTRATIVE EMBODIMENTS
[0023] The personal umbrella with illumination in the prior art are not programmed to produce a symphony of light that is automatically coordinated with a person's wardrobe, and the light wave pattern is not be controlled to adjust the pulsating wave parameters of color pallet composition, frequency, duration, intensity, and fade by any control means, such as remote control to emulate the relaxing “bio luminescence pulsating life wave” patterns exhibited by comb jelly fish and related marine life. Furthermore, personal umbrella with illumination in the prior art fails to communicate or wink a “Hello” pattern to other like umbrellas, and they are not equipped and featured with remote control “Alert” patterns, or featured with remote control “Confetti celebration” patterns, or “Firefly” communication patterns To eliminate the defect of the prior art, illustrative embodiments provide a personal umbrella with remote controlled stranded array of LED lights with aforementioned animated color pattern sequence features. Details of illustrative embodiments are discussed below.
[0024] Illustrative embodiments of a personal umbrella are explained in detail with reference to
[0025] A plurality of serial programmable color and time duration LED lights mounted in a Flex PCB LED Array 5 are attached in each channel of the plurality of Support rails 2 with one end attached to Flex PCB annular Strip bus 11. A Control and power cable 12 is threaded through the hollow Center rod 1 to connect the Flex PCB annular strip bus 11 to the LED dynamic power control 6 in the hollow Handle 4. A Microcontroller 8 is connected to a Rotary switch 9, which has a plurality of states of including “Off”, “Color match”, “Confetti”, “Firefly”, “Hello”, and “Alert”. Micro USB connector 10 also may be located in the hollow Handle 4.

Accordingly, discussion of the specific algorithms are for illustrative purposes only and not intended to limit various embodiments.
[0037] Some innovations may include:
1. A personal umbrella with stranded arrays of remote-controlled light emitting diode (LED) lights to provide a symphony of light composition emulating the “bio luminescence pulsating life wave” pattern that is automatically programmed to color coordinate and match the owners clothing. The device includes: an umbrella assembly including a center support rod, a handle, an umbrella cover, a plurality of umbrella support bars and a plurality of support rails, wherein the support rod is connected to the plurality of support bars and the plurality of support rails, wherein the umbrella cover is connected to the plurality of support bars, wherein a plurality of LED lights arranged is a strip strand is attached on each of the support rails, and wherein the handle is provided with a compartment in which is a remote controller including a rechargeable power supply, communication receiver, rotary mode switch, USB connector, printed circuit board (PCB), electrically switch LED power driver, and 1 wire or 2 wire strand communication and ground interface connected through center support rod to the array strips enabling individual control of color and brightness of each LED in each of the strip arrays.
2. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the control of the pattern is real time programmed via communication receiver driven from an automatic color match algorithm with input from a photo of a user's wardrobe item.
3. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the LED power drive is derived from a single 3.6 volt rechargeable power source that is charged from a 5 volt USB power supply. The dynamic LED power driver controls the intensity, duration, and color timing to power a plurality individually controlled (of at least 144) LED organized in strand arrays for a plurality of hours (of at least 2) without recharging.
4. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the light wave pattern can be controlled to adjust the pulsating wave parameters of color pallet composition, frequency, duration, intensity, and fade by any control means, such as remote control to emulate the relaxing bio luminescence life wave patterns exhibited by comb jellyfish.
5. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the light wave pattern can be controlled to adjust the pulsating wave parameters of color pallet composition, frequency, duration, intensity, and fade by any control means, such as remote control to emulate the relaxing bio luminescence life wave patterns exhibited by fireflies.
6. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the umbrella automatically senses and recognizes its proximity to other like umbrellas and blinks “Hello” as a symbolic handshake.
7. The personal umbrella with remote-controlled LED strand array lights according to innovation 1, wherein the umbrella can handle contains a rotary switch which has a plurality of positions including: “Off” power charge mode, “On” color match pattern and program, “Celebrate” quick flash multi-color display, “Alert” yellow . . . orange . . . and red - - - and white . . . burst. The embodiments of the invention described above are intended to be merely exemplary; numerous variations and modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art. Such variations and modifications are intended to be within the scope of the present invention as defined by any of the appended claims.
