DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] Referring to FIG. 1, the center of a building block 10 of the present invention is an octagonal building block body 11, the building block body 11 has an upper surface vertically provided with four upper protruding blocks 12, and the upper protruding blocks 12 are preferably designed to be a rectangular form but not limited thereto, the four upper protruding blocks 12 are arranged in the shape of a cross and form an upper notch 13 in the center of the building block body 11, each of the upper protruding blocks 12 has a top end thereof respectively provided with an engaging notch 121 in an adequate position, and the position of the engaging notch 121 is closer to an outer side of the upper protruding block 12.

[0013] Referring to FIG. 2, the building block body 11 has a lower surface also vertically provided with four lower protruding blocks 14 which are in symmetry to the four upper protruding blocks 12 on the upper surface, and the lower protruding blocks 14 are preferably designed to be a rectangular form but not limited thereto, the four lower protruding blocks 14 are also arranged in the shape of a cross and form a lower notch 15 in the center of the building block body 11, each of the lower protruding blocks 14 has a bottom end thereof respectively provided with an engaging notch 141 in an adequate position, and the position of the engaging notch 141 is closer to an outer side of the lower protruding block 14, the building block 10 can stand horizontally by means of the four lower protruding blocks 14, the building block 10 can also stand diagonally (as shown in FIG. 3) by means of three stands formed by two adjacent lower protruding blocks 14 and one end of the building block body 11 (as shown in FIG. 3).

[0014] Based on the structures described above, the present invention can provide a plurality of building blocks 10 for assembling. Referring to FIG. 4, two of the building blocks 10 are assembled in a diagonal engaging manner from top to bottom, in which the building block 10 above is engaged with, by means of the two engaging notches 141 on the bottom ends of the two lower protruding blocks 14 on the lower surface of the building block body 11, the two engaging notches 121 on the top ends of the two upper protruding blocks 12 on the upper surface of the building block body 11 of another building block 10, so that the two building blocks 10 are assembled into one.

[0015] Referring to FIG. 5, two of the building blocks 10 are assembled in a vertical manner, in which the building block 10 above is flatly placed on the building block body 11 of another building block 10 by means of the four lower protruding blocks 14 on the lower surface of the building block body 11, and the four lower protruding blocks 14 and the four upper protruding blocks 12 on the upper surface of the building block body 11 of another building block 10 are in a cross staggered arrangement; the lower notch 15 in the center on the lower surface of the building block body 11 of the upper building block 10 is engaged with the upper notch 13 in the center on the upper surface of the building block body 11 of another building block 10.

[0016] Referring to FIG. 6, five of the building blocks 10 are assembled in vertical and diagonal engaging manners, in which the second building block 10, as indicated in FIG. 5, is assembled with the lower first building block 10 in a vertical manner, and the upper left and the upper right ends of the second building block 10 is assembled with, as indicated in FIG. 4, the third building block 10 and the fourth building block 10 above in a diagonal engaging manner, the fifth building block 10 is respectively engaged with sides of the third building block 10 and the fourth building block 10 at bottom, so as to assemble and make up a large building block structure.
