Abstract
A mattress cover can have a compartment formed thereon wherein bumper padding material can be integrated into the compartment to create a cuddle zone above the covering within an area defined by the compartment and integrated bumper padding material. The mattress cover can be provided in the form of a fitted bed sheet. The bumper padding material can be provided in the form of a tube. The compartment can be formed as an overlay material sewn over the mattress covering having at least one open end that can be closed once bumper padding material is inserted into the compartment. End closures can be provided in the form of hook and loop material sewn along at least one of the at least one open end of the overlay material and the mattress covering. The compartment and bumper padding material can be provided to create many shapes formed above the mattress material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0015] The particular values and configurations discussed in these non-limiting examples can be varied and are cited merely to illustrate one or more embodiments and are not intended to limit the scope thereof.
[0016] Subject matter will now be described more fully hereinafter with reference to the accompanying drawings, which form a part hereof, and which show, by way of illustration, specific example embodiments. Subject matter may, however, be embodied in a variety of different forms and, therefore, covered or claimed subject matter is intended to be construed as not being limited to any example embodiments set forth herein; example embodiments are provided merely to be illustrative. Likewise, a reasonably broad scope for claimed or covered subject matter is intended. Among other things, for example, subject matter may be embodied as methods, devices, components, or systems. Accordingly, embodiments may, for example, take the form of hardware, software, firmware, or any combination thereof (other than software per se). The following detailed description is, therefore, not intended to be interpreted in a limiting sense.
[0017] Throughout the specification and claims, terms may have nuanced meanings suggested or implied in context beyond an explicitly stated meaning. Likewise, phrases such as “in one embodiment” or “in an example embodiment” and variations thereof as utilized herein do not necessarily refer to the same embodiment and the phrase “in another embodiment” or “in another example embodiment” and variations thereof as utilized herein may or may not necessarily refer to a different embodiment. It is intended, for example, that claimed subject matter include combinations of example embodiments in whole or in part.
[0018] In general, terminology may be understood, at least in part, from usage in context. For example, terms such as “and,” “or,” or “and/or” as used herein may include a variety of meanings that may depend, at least in part, upon the context in which such terms are used. Typically, “or” if used to associate a list, such as A, B, or C, is intended to mean A, B, and C, here used in the inclusive sense, as well as A, B, or C, here used in the exclusive sense. In addition, the term “one or more” as used herein, depending at least in part upon context, may be used to describe any feature, structure, or characteristic in a singular sense or may be used to describe combinations of features, structures, or characteristics in a plural sense. Similarly, terms such as “a,” “an,” or “the”, again, may be understood to convey a singular usage or to convey a plural usage, depending at least in part upon context. In addition, the term “based on” may be understood as not necessarily intended to convey an exclusive set of factors and may, instead, allow for existence of additional factors not necessarily expressly described, again, depending at least in part on context.
[0019] The term “at least one” as utilized can mean “one or more”. For example, “at least one widget” may mean the same as “one or more widgets”. Likewise, the term “a plurality of” may refer to “a group of”. For example, “a plurality of widgets” may have the same meaning as “a group of widgets”.

[0024] The mattress cover 110 can be provided in a rectangular 75″×50″ fabric cut and sewn to create a universal fitted crib sheet that can go over any crib or toddler mattress. Once sheet is created, a separate U-shape overlay can be created (although shapes can vary so long as a cuddle zone 116 can be created) and sewn over the fitted crib sheet leaving both ends opened creating a U-shaped pocket along the top of sheet. Separately the bumper padding material can be provided in the form of a tube and can be created by sewing two long 15″×100″ fabrics together and filled with cotton filling. The tube can then be inserted into the U-shaped compartment 111 through the openable and closable opening(s), where the tube can then be secured therein by hook and loop material that can close the openable and closable end(s). The tube can be removed for mattress cover laundering purposes.
[0025] The inserted tube allows baby or toddler to sleep in place feeling cuddled and protected in crib or toddler bed without feeling restricted in one place. The soft bumper also can also allow a child to roll over and freely move if the child needs to move their body position while sleeping, or to get up while awake.
[0026] It will be appreciated that variations of the above-disclosed and other features and functions, or alternatives thereof, may be desirably combined into many other different systems or applications. It will also be appreciated that various presently unforeseen or unanticipated alternatives, modifications, variations or improvements therein may be subsequently made by those skilled in the art which are also intended to be encompassed by the following claims.
