Haircut Blending Crown Comb

Abstract

A head mounted device with comb teeth for use with a clipper comprising a main body with an internal adjustment cord portion designed to go around the front or forehead of the head, a top support strap to go over the top of the head, the main body going from one edge of the forehead to the other, configured with mounting comb teeth extending from the main body, the main body has an inner soft ban that fits against the users head, the inner band when placed against the users head pushes horizontal pegs with screw attachments which cause the comb top to push out and the comb bottom to push in allowing the user to create a surface which will automatically angle a hair clipper for a blended haircut.

Claims

1. A head mounted device with comb teeth for use with a clipper comprising: a main body with an internal adjustment front piece designed to go around the front or forehead of the head, a top support strap to go over the top of the head; the main body going from one edge of the forehead to the other; configured with comb teeth extending downward from the main body; the main body has an inner soft band that fits against the users head; the inner band when placed against the users head pushes adjustable horizontal pegs with screw attachments which cause the comb teeth top to push out and the comb teeth bottom to push in.

2. The device of claim 1 where one set of comb teeth can be changed out with another set to change the length of hair being cut.

3. The device of claim 1 where the teeth have curvature.

4. The device of claim 1 where the teeth vary in width, wider on the top, narrower on the bottom.

5. The device of claim 1 where horizontal mounted screws are used rather than horizontal pegs with horizontal screws used to adjust the angle of the comb teeth.

6. The device of claim 1 where clips or other fastening devices are used to adjust the length of the top support strap and the flexible front piece.

7. The device of claim 1 with the comb section being removable.

8. The device of claim 1 without the top support strap.

9. The device of claim 1 without the flexible front piece.

[0018] Referring now to FIG. 1, it can be seen that a preferred embodiment head mounted device with comb teeth for use with a clipper according to the present invention includes a base portion 1 and a plurality of teeth 2. The head mounted device with comb teeth for use with a clipper is preferably molded from a plastic material, although other materials and manufacturing methods are also considered to be within the scope of the present invention. The base portion 1 of the head mounted device with comb teeth 2 operates by placing the device on a person's head, adjusting the top of the head strap 5 with the end folds into a flexible hook 6 which attaches to a flexible front piece 7 which can be folded over itself on one end to adjust for head size. The device has a soft inner piece 4 which is in excess of 0.25 inches in width, toward the inside of the device which rest against a person's head. When placed against a person's head the soft inner piece 4 pushes against the portion of the pegs 3 on the inside top of the device, pushing the top edge of the teeth 2 out, and the bottom of the teeth 2 toward the users head, which creates the angel required for giving a blended cut. The pegs 3 can be adjusted in and out to change the angle of the blended look
