    Abstract

    A kind of sports equipment which comprises a sole and an upper is revealed. The sole is provided with a peripheral wall projecting upward from a periphery of the sole and a mounting groove formed on an outer surface of the peripheral wall. The upper is arranged at the sole and a periphery of a bottom of the upper is bent inward to form a connection portion which is mounted into the mounting groove on the peripheral wall of the sole correspondingly. The connection portion of the upper and the peripheral wall of the sole are sewn and connected by a sewing thread while the sewing thread is located at the inward-bent connection portion of the upper so that the sewing thread will not be exposed. Thereby the upper and the sole are connected more firmly and aesthetics of the sports equipment is also improved.

    Claims

    1. A kind of sports equipment comprising: a sole which comprises a peripheral wall projecting upward from and formed on a periphery of the sole, and a mounting groove formed on an outer surface of the peripheral wall; and an upper which is arranged at the sole and provided with a connection portion formed by a periphery of a bottom of the upper bent inward and mounted into the mounting groove on the peripheral wall of the sole correspondingly; and a sewing thread which is used to connect the connection portion of the upper with the peripheral wall of the sole and located at the inward-bent connection portion of the upper without being exposed.

    2. The sports equipment as claimed in claim 1, wherein a cavity is formed within the peripheral wall and a top surface of the sole; the sports equipment is further provided with a support member which is mounted in the cavity of the sole.

    Description

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

    [0005] The structure and the technical means adopted by the present invention to achieve the above and other objects can be best understood by referring to the following detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the accompanying drawings, wherein:

    [0006] FIG. 1 is an exploded view of an embodiment according to the present invention;

    [0007] FIG. 2 is a partial enlarged exploded view of a section of an embodiment according to the present invention;

    [0008] FIG. 3 is a sectional view of an embodiment according to the present invention.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

    [0009] Refer to FIG. 1, FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, a kind of sports equipment mainly includes a sole 1, a support member 2, and an upper 3.

    [0010] The sole 1 consists of a peripheral wall 11 projecting upward from and formed on a periphery of the sole 1, a cavity 12 which is a closed space formed within the peripheral wall 11 and a top surface of the sole 1, and a mounting groove 13 formed on are outer surface of the peripheral wall 11.

    [0011] The support member 2 which is an elastic body is mounted in the cavity 12 of the sole 1 and a top surface of the support member 2 and an opening of the cavity 12 are at the same level.

    [0012] The upper 3 is arranged at the sole 1 and provided with a connection portion 31 which is formed by a periphery of a bottom of the upper 3 bent inward and mounted into the mounting groove 13 on the peripheral wall 11 of the sole 1 correspondingly. The connection portion 31 of the upper 3 and the peripheral wall 11 of the sole 1 are connected with each other by sewing with a sewing thread 4. The sewing thread 4 is located at the inward-bent connection portion 31 of the upper 3 so that the sewing thread 4 will not be exposed.

    [0013] Compared with the connection between the upper 3 and the sole 1 by adhesives such as super glue and water-based adhesive available now, the upper 3 and the sole 1 of the present sports equipment are sewn and connected by the sewing thread 4. Thus the upper 3 and the sole 1 are connected more firmly, without easily separated from each other due to constant pulling and stress. Moreover, the sewing thread 4 is embedded in the upper 3 without being exposed so that aesthetics of the sports equipment is improved. Stains or residuals caused by dried adhesive spill or overflow after connecting the upper 3 with the sole 1 by adhesives can also be avoided.

    [0014] Furthermore, the design of connection between the upper 3 and the sole 1 by using the sewing thread 4 simplifies the complicated processes for connecting the upper 3 with the sole 1 used now during which the upper 3 and the sole 1 are coated with adhesives and pressed multiple times. Thus the production efficiency is improved and the production cost is reduced. Other problems such as damages to respiratory system of workers or environmental pollution caused by poisonous gas released during application of the adhesives (super glue, water-based adhesive, etc.) can also be avoided.

    [0015] In summary, the present invention has the following advantages:

    1. The upper and the sole of the present sports equipment are connected by the sewing thread which is embedded in the upper without being exposed. Thus not only the upper and the sole are connected more firmly, aesthetics of the sports equipment is also improved.
    2. Since the upper and the sole of the present sports equipment are connected by the sewing thread, complicated processes such as multiple times of coating and lamination are no more required. Thereby production processes are simplified, production efficiency is increased and production cost is reduced.
    3. The upper and the sole of the present sports equipment are connected by the sewing thread so that no more adhesives are needed. Thus the problems generated during application of the adhesives including super glue and water-based adhesive such as poisonous gas released which not only damages respiratory tracts of working staff but also causes environmental pollution can be avoided.
    4. A support member is mounted in the cavity of the sole to keep the top surface of the support member and the opening of the cavity at the same level. Thereby not only the strength of the sole is improved, shock resistance and wearing comfort are also provided while wearing or walking.

    [0016] Additional advantages and modifications will readily occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the invention in its broader aspects is not limited to the specific details, and representative devices shown and described herein. Accordingly, various modifications may be made without departing from the spirit or scope of the general inventive concept as defined by the appended claims and their equivalent.
