Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Hydrangea plant named ‘CAMFRE29’ is disclosed, characterized by lace-cap inflorescences, and violet-blue sepals with deeper purple picotee along a serrated margin. Plants have compact habits, and green foliage with a slight purple tine along the margin. The new variety is a Hydrangea, typically produced as an outdoor ornamental plant.

Claims

1. A new and distinct cultivar of Hydrangea plant named ‘CAMFRE29’ as herein illustrated and described.

Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS

(1) The accompanying photograph in FIG. 1 illustrates in full color a typical plant of ‘CAMFRE29’ grown outdoors Camarillo, Calif. This plant is approximately 2-3 years old, grown in a 5-gallon container.

(2) FIG. 2 illustrates in full color a close up of an inflorescence of ‘CAMFRE29’.

(3) The photographs were taken using conventional techniques and although colors may appear different from actual colors due to light reflectance it is as accurate as possible by conventional photographic techniques.

DETAILED BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION

(4) In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 2007, except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe ‘CAMFRE29’ plants grown outdoors in Camarillo, Calif. The plants were about 2 years old. Temperatures ranged from 12° C. to 15° C. at night to 18° C. to 27° C. during the day. No artificial light, photoperiodic treatments were given to the plants. Measurements and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types. Botanical classification: Hydrangea macrophylla ‘CAMFRE29’.
