Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Hibiscus plant named ‘MINPAPAN1’ is disclosed, characterized by lavender cup form flowers with a red eye extended by long lines. Leaves are green with large marginal light green variegation which comes and goes through the season. The new variety is a Hibiscus, typically produced as an ornamental plant.

Claims

1. A new and distinct cultivar of Hibiscus plant named ‘MINPAPAN1’ as herein illustrated and described.

Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS

(1) The accompanying photograph in FIG. 1 illustrates in full color typical plants of ‘MINPAPAN1’ grown outdoors at a commercial research nursery in Grand Haven, Mich. This plants are approximately 2 years old, grown in-ground, in a trial field.

(2) FIG. 2 illustrates a close-up view of the foliage.

(3) FIG. 3 illustrates a close-up view of a typical flower.

(4) The photographs were taken using conventional techniques and although colors may appear different from actual colors due to light reflectance it is as accurate as possible by conventional photographic techniques.

DETAILED BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION

(5) In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 2015, except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe a ‘MINPAPAN1’ plant. This plant is approximately 3 years old, grown in a 3-gallon container. Temperatures ranged from 5° C. to 10° C. at night and 18° C. to 27° C. during the day. No artificial light, photoperiodic treatments were given to the plants. Measurements and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types. Botanical classification: Hibiscus syriacus x paramutabilis hybrid ‘MINPAPAN1’.
