Abstract
The invention relates to a child safety seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising a seat region, a back portion, an impact shield, the impact shield comprising an integrated airbag and/or an airbag being provided in the seat region, an acceleration-sensing device for sensing an acceleration of the child safety seat, and a control device, which is configured in such a way that the airbag is deployed on the basis of an acceleration sensed by the acceleration-sensing device.
Claims
1. A child safety seat for attaching to a motor vehicle seat, comprising: a seat region, a back portion, an acceleration sensor configured for sensing an acceleration of the seat, and at least one of: an impact shield and a shield positioning apparatus configured for positioning the impact shield, wherein the acceleration sensor is configured to activate the shield positioning apparatus to position the seat in response to a predetermined acceleration, and a belt system and a belt tensioner, wherein the acceleration sensor is configured to activate the belt tensioner to tighten the belt system in response to a predetermined acceleration, and a seat anchor system and an anchor positioning apparatus, wherein the acceleration sensor is configured to activate an anchor positioning apparatus to position the seat anchor system in response to a predetermined acceleration.
2. The child safety seat of claim 1 further including an airbag integrated in the impact shield or in the seat region.
3. The child safety seat of claim 2 wherein the airbag is configured for deployment based on the predetermined acceleration.
4. The child safety seat of claim 2 wherein the airbag is integrated in the seat region and further including a control device coupled to the acceleration sensor and coupled to the airbag and wherein the airbag is deployed based on acceleration sensed by the acceleration sensor.
5. The child safety seat of claim 1 wherein the impact shield includes an integrated distance increasing device coupled to a control device, and wherein the impact shield includes a first section and a second section and wherein the impact shield is fastened to the seat in a region of the first section, and wherein upon sensing the predetermined acceleration, the distance increasing device is displaced in a direction away from the first section and wherein the distance increasing device includes an airbag.
6. The child safety seat according to claim 4, wherein the control device is configured to deploy the airbag on an acceleration threshold value of at least 2
7. The child safety seat according to claim 2, wherein in the event of activation, the airbag is forced downwards and to the rear.
8. The child safety seat according to claim 1, wherein the acceleration sensor is affixed at a location in or on an anchoring device, wherein the anchoring device is coupled to the seat region or coupled to the back portion.
9. The child safety seat according to claim 4, wherein the control device and the acceleration sensor are connected by cables or connected wirelessly.
10. The child safety seat according to claim 4, wherein the impact shield is retained by a vehicle belt system or by a retaining device coupled by a tether and wherein the retaining device is connected to the control device by a cable.
11. The child safety seat according to claim 1, further comprising a force limiter coupled to a restraining belt, wherein a threshold value of the force limiter is greater than a threshold value of a positioning device of the belt tensioner.
12. The child safety seat according to claim 1, further comprising a side impact protection structure.
13. The child safety seat according to claim 1, wherein the acceleration sensor is integrated in the child safety seat.
14. A method for operating a child safety seat attached to a motor vehicle seat, the method comprising: arranging a seat region of the child safety seat and a back portion of the child safety seat relative to the motor vehicle seat; configuring an acceleration sensor to sense acceleration of the safety seat; sensing acceleration using the acceleration sensor and upon detecting a predetermined acceleration, activating the child safety seat, wherein activating the child safety seat includes at least one of: using a shield positioning apparatus configured to position an impact shield coupled to the child safety seat, using a belt tensioner apparatus configured to tighten a belt system of the child safety seat, and using an anchor positioning apparatus configured to position a seat anchor system of the child safety seat.
15. The method of claim 14 wherein the child safety seat includes a distance increasing device coupled to the impact shield, and further including, upon detecting the predetermined acceleration, activating the distance increasing device.
16. The method of claim 14 further including arranging the acceleration sensor on the child safety seat.
