Boxing Gloves with Pouch (pocket) as Fitness apparatus and exercise tool

Abstract

A boxing glove is provided with a pouch located at the back-of-a-hand position of the glove underneath a continuous layer of glove material. The pouch has a zippered opening extending along the index finger of the glove to allow insertion of a weighted block therein. Adding a weighted block allows the wearer to increase the intensity of boxing and exercise when using the glove. Positioning of the pouch underneath the continuous layer of glove material improves the durability of the glove.

A boxing and exercise glove defining a back-of-a-hand portion thereof located between four finger openings and a back edge of the glove, the four finger openings are configured to allow a wearer to insert a pinky finger, a ring finger, a middle finger, and an index finger therein respectively, the back-of-a-hand portion comprising a continuous layer of glove material facing outwards and extending from the four finger openings towards the back edge of the glove, the back-of-a-hand portion further comprising a pouch located underneath the continuous layer of glove material and facing inwards, the pouch is equipped with a pouch opening extending along a side of the glove, the pouch opening has a zipper configured to provide a closable access to the pouch along the entire length of the pouch for inserting and removing of a weighted block to be positioned inside the pouch, wherein placement of the pouch underneath the continuous layer of glove material improves durability of the glove during boxing and exercise use.

[0002] Description of the drawings: FIG. 1 shows the pouch (also called a pocket) on the top side of the glove. This is where the weighted block is inserted and enclosed using a zipper. Also shown is the strap, which is used to fasten the glove on the wrist of the wearer. Further shown in the figure are the four glove finger openings, these are where the four fingers, namely the index finger, the middle finger, the ring finger, and the pinky finger, are inserted into the glove.
