Abstract
A hair brush assembly has a disk-shaped brush part having bristles and a disk shaped holding part having an interior cavity. The interior cavity sized to hold at least a part of the bristles. The interior cavity holds at least a part of the bristles when the brush is being stored. The interior cavity storing hair balm, in a way that contacts the bristles. The holding part can attach on to brush part, by mating, or by screwing on. The brush part has perimeter edges that define an outer perimeter of and a lip portion inside the perimeter edges, the lip portion formed of a flat surface, and a brush area inside the lip portion, where the brush area includes a plurality of bristles extending from the flat surface that forms the lip portion.
Claims
1. A hair brush assembly, comprising: a disk-shaped brush part having bristles; a disk shaped holding part having an interior cavity, the interior cavity sized to hold at least a part of the bristles, where the interior cavity holds at least a part of the bristles when the brush is being stored.
2. The assembly as in claim 1, wherein the interior cavity storing hair balm, in a way that contacts the bristles.
3. The assembly as in claim 2, wherein the hair balm is scented.
4. The assembly as in claim 1, wherein the holding part attaches on to brush part, and is used as a handle of the brush, when attached.
5. The assembly as in claim 1, wherein the holding part screws on to the brush part.
6. The assembly as in claim 1, wherein the brush part having perimeter edges that define an outer perimeter of and a lip portion inside the perimeter edges, the lip portion formed of a flat surface, and a brush area inside the lip portion, where the brush area includes a plurality of bristles extending from the flat surface that forms the lip portion.
7. The assembly as in claim 1, further comprising electrical circuitry in the brush part, a battery which powers electrical circuitry, where the electrical circuitry produces signals translated into a number of movements of the hairbrush.
8. The assembly as in claim 7, further comprising an application, and where the signal indicative of hair brush movement is received by the application and displays a number of strokes that a user has used to stroke their hair.
9. The assembly as in claim 7, wherein the electrical circuitry includes a Bluetooth microcontroller and a gyroscopic sensor.
10. A hair brush assembly, comprising: a cylindrical brush part having a flat lip portion and having bristles inside the flat lip portion, a cylindrical base portion having an outer perimeter surface which mates with an outer perimeter of the brush part, and having an inner recessed portion which extends below the surface of the perimeter surface, and when mated, holds the bristles inside the inner recessed portion,
11. The assembly as in claim 10, wherein the inner recessed portion storing hair balm, in a way that contacts the bristles.
12. The assembly as in claim 11, wherein the hair balm is scented.
13. The assembly as in claim 10, wherein the outer perimeter of the brush part is the same as the outer perimeter of the base portion.
14. The assembly as in claim 10, wherein the brush part screws into the base portion.
15. The assembly as in claim 10, wherein when he brush part is mated with the base portion, the lip portion of the base presses against the lip portion of the brush part.
16. The assembly as in claim 10, further comprising electrical circuitry in the brush part, a battery which powers electrical circuitry, where the electrical circuitry produces signals translated into a number of movements of the hairbrush.
17. The assembly as in claim 16, further comprising an application, and where the signal indicative of hair brush movement is received by the application and displays a number of strokes that a user has used to stroke their hair.
18. The assembly as in claim 16, wherein the electrical circuitry includes a Bluetooth microcontroller and a gyroscopic sensor.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0009] A first embodiment is shown in
[0010] In the
[0011] The brush part 100 interacts with and is stored partly with a base portion 150. Base portion 150 is also cylindrical, and has an outer perimeter surface 155 which is the same diameter as the perimeter edges 110. A lip portion of the base 165 is a flat portion that is substantially the same size as the lip portion 115 of the brush area. Inside the lip portion is a recessed portion 160 which extends below the surface of the perimeter surface. The recessed portion is recessed deep enough to hold the brush bristles.
[0012] When the brush/base is closed, the lip surface 165 of the base presses against the lip surface 115 of the brushes, and the brushes fit into the recessed area 160.
[0013] In an embodiment, the recessed portion 160 also holds a balm 165. The brush area 120 fits into the recessed portion 160, and extends into the balm to get some balm material on the bristles 121 every time that the brush is stored.
[0014] In an embodiment, shown in
[0015] In an alternative embodiment, shown in
[0016] In another embodiment, the brush portion shown as 300 is a smart brush. The smart brush has a battery 305, which can be a removable button battery behind a battery door 306. The battery 305 powers electrical circuitry including a Bluetooth microcontroller 310 and a gyroscopic sensor 315. The Bluetooth microcontroller 310 communicates with a computer application 330 running on a user's cell phone 335. In operation, the Bluetooth microcontroller sends signals indicative of the movement of the gyroscope. This is translated into a number of movements of the hairbrush. This signal indicative of hair brush movement can be sent to the app 330 and display the number of strokes that a user has used to stroke their hair.
[0017] Another aspect is that the top portion can be changed to different bristles to match hair type and/or ethnicity. Usually, hairbrushes are soft, medium and hard. However, the present system allows modified trading-off between different hardnesses of brushes.
[0018] The previous description of the disclosed exemplary embodiments is provided to enable any person skilled in the art to make or use the present invention. Various modifications to these exemplary embodiments will be readily apparent to those skilled in the art, and the generic principles defined herein may be applied to other embodiments without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the embodiments shown herein but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and novel features disclosed herein.
