Abstract
A hair color board includes a divider body having a plurality of elongated peaks alternating with a plurality of elongated valleys. The plurality of elongated peaks and the plurality of elongated valleys extend to an end. The end may be concave such as to be positioned against a person’s head.
Claims
1. A method for coloring hair including: a) placing a first group of hairs into a first valley of a board; b) placing a second group of hairs into a second valley on the board, wherein the second valley is divided from the first valley; and c) applying a first dye or bleach to the first group of hairs in the first valley.
2. The method of claim 1 wherein step c) includes applying the first dye, the method further including: d) applying a second dye to the second group of hairs in the second valley, wherein the second dye is a different color from that of the first dye.
3. The method of claim 1 wherein step c) includes applying bleach to the first group of hairs, the method further including: d) not applying bleach to the second group of hairs; and e) after steps a) to d), and after the first group of hairs have been bleached and while the second group of hairs are not bleached, removing the first group of hairs and the second group of hairs from the board.
4. The method of claim 1 further including: before step a), placing the board against a head from which extend the first group of hairs and the second group of hairs.
5. The method of claim 1 further including: before step a), placing a concave end of the board against a head from which extend the first group of hairs and the second group of hairs.
6. A hair color board comprising: a divider body, the divider body having a plurality of elongated peaks alternating with a plurality of elongated valleys; wherein the plurality of elongated peaks and the plurality of elongated valleys extend to an end, wherein the end is concave such as to be positioned against a person’s head.
7. The hair color board of claim 6 wherein the plurality of elongated peaks includes five elongated peaks.
8. The hair color board of claim 6 wherein the plurality of elongated valleys includes four elongated valleys.
9. The hair color board of claim 6 in combination with a first plurality of hairs and a second plurality of hairs, wherein the plurality of elongated valleys includes a first elongated valley and a second elongated valley, the first plurality of hairs in the first elongated valley and the second plurality of hairs in the second elongated valley.
10. The combination of claim 9 further including a first dye in the first elongated valley and a second dye in the second elongated valley, wherein the first dye is a different color than that of the second dye.
11. The combination of claim 9 further including a bleach in the first elongated valley and wherein there is no bleach in the second elongated valley.
12. In combination: a hair color board including a divider body having a plurality of elongated peaks alternating with a plurality of elongated valleys, wherein the plurality of elongated valleys includes a first elongated valley and a second elongated valley; a first plurality of hairs in the first elongated valley; and a second plurality of hairs in the second elongated valley.
13. The combination of claim 12 further including a first dye in the first elongated valley and a second dye in the second elongated valley, wherein the first dye is a different color than that of the second dye.
14. The combination of claim 12 further including a bleach in the first elongated valley and wherein there is no bleach in the second elongated valley.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0011] A hair color board 10 according to a first embodiment is shown in
[0012] The hair color board 10 includes a base end 12 and a divider body 14 extending from the base end 12. The end 15 of the divider body 14 opposite the base end 12 may be contoured, specifically concave such as to be positioned against a person’s head. An aperture may be formed proximate the end 15 for hanging the hair color board 10 when not in use.

[0019] The hair dyes may all be different colors, or alternating colors may be the same (e.g. Color A 24A may be the same as Color C 24C, but different from Color B 24B and Color D 24D, and Color B 24B may be the same as Color D 24D. Alternatively, Color A 24A and Color C 24C may be bleach, and Color B 24B and Color D 24D may indicate no bleach or dye to be applied. The hair color board 10 facilitates coloring adjacent groups of hair different from one another in any manner.
[0020] The hair color board 10 may then be left in place for the time required by the dye or bleach. Alternatively, the each group of hair with dye or bleach no bleach/no dye may then be wrapped in foil or other wrap to retain the dye or bleach (or no bleach/no dye) with the group of hair for the required time period, while groups of hair are removed from the valleys and the hair color board 10 is moved to the next set of groups of hair to repeat the process.
[0021] In accordance with the provisions of the patent statutes and jurisprudence, exemplary configurations described above are considered to represent a preferred embodiment of the invention. However, it should be noted that the invention can be practiced otherwise than as specifically illustrated and described without departing from its spirit or scope.
