[0057] Tee base 12 may be included with indoor golf tee 10. Tee base 12 may be various shapes, sizes and/or or configurations for supporting tee shaft 20 in perpendicular orientation 30. As shown in the Figures, in select embodiments of indoor golf tee 10, tee base 12 may have conical shape 72. Conical shape 72 of tee base 12 may have open top 74 being connecting hole 18. Base bottom portion 16 may be rounded flat portion 76 that is larger than base top portion 14 with connecting hole 18. Wherein, tee base 12 may taper smaller from base bottom portion 16 to base top portion 14. Tee base 12 may be made from various materials, including, but not limited to various plastics and rubbers. Another feature of indoor golf tee 10 may be that tee base 12 may include base height 78. Base height 78 may be from base bottom portion 16 to base top portion 14. As shown in
[0058] Referring now specifically to
[0059] As shown in
[0060] Another feature of indoor golf tee 10 may be that tee shaft 20 may be smaller than golf ball 28. With this feature, indoor golf tee 10 can be designed and configured not to interfere with golf club 128 before impact when used as a golf tee, including, but not limited to, like for use in indoor simulation golf 36, as shown in
[0061] In sum, indoor golf tee 10 may be a golf tee designed primarily for indoor simulation golf 36. The disclosed indoor golf tee 10 will seek USGA and RNA (2 governing bodies in golf) approval for outdoor use as well. Each 2-part tee 122 may create a set (tee base 12 and tee shaft 20) that has the ability to be two distinct sizes. (i.e. 0.75″ and 1.00″). Indoor golf tee 10 may be provided in, but is not limited to, 8 sizes of tee shaft height (From 0.75″ up to 2.00″, or higher if desired, in 0.25″ increments.
[0062] The disclosed indoor golf tee 10 may be 2-part tee 122 that gives the ability to interchange tee shafts 20 in case of breakage or wishing to replace with another size tee shaft 20.
[0063] Tee base 12 may be either 0.50″ (Standard tee base 80) or 0.25″ (low-profile tee base 84).
[0064] A distinct advantage of indoor golf tee 10 over existing indoor golf tees may be that tee base 12 and/or tee shaft 20, in any of the various configurations, do not interfere with golf club 128 before impact. The design of indoor golf tee 10 may provide a wide tee base 12 and narrow tee shaft 20 compared to what is on the market so the shaft doesn't get hit first like other indoor golf tees.
