    Abstract

    A medical Surgical Utility gown is provided that has a front side extending to a back side. In one embodiment, the front and back sides in combination form a body covering at least an upper portion of a medical personnel wearing color coded scrubs. The Surgical Medical utility gown may be made of blue nonwoven polypropylene fibers translucent thermoplastic. Alternatively, the Utility Surgical Gown is reinforced with sewing patterns providing safe and secure support on a patient or medical personnel.

An article comprising a surgical utility gown, the gown comprising: a front side; a back side coupled to said front side; a utility pocket on the front side in front of the chest, the utility pocket being reinforced; and a small pen size pocket on the left sleeve to hold a marker, a small screwdriver, or the like.

    6. The article according to claim 5, wherein the gown is Made from nonwoven polypropylene.

    7. A surgical utility gown for use over medical scrubs worn by surgical personnel, the gown comprising: a body covering configured to cover the torso of the surgical personnel, the body having a utility pocket at a chest level of the surgical personnel; left and right sleeves attached to the body covering; and a pen size pocket on the left sleeve at a position corresponding to a lower part of a deltoid of the surgical personnel; wherein the gown provides complete coverage of the medical scrubs.

    8. The gown according to claim 7, made from nonwoven polypropylene.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION

    [0018] With reference next to the drawings FIGS. 1A, 1B, and 1C, and FIGS. 2-7, there is shown a medical Gown in a preferred form of the invention. The Gown has a front side or portion extending to a back side or portion which in combination forms a body covering which covers at least an upper portion of a Surgical personnel, such as a surgeon, PA, nurse, technician/FA, etc. The front side preferably does include openings, pocket, which is the Innovative reinforced utility pocket located in the upper xiphoid, down to the umbilical area, providing extra space for instruments. The back side is longitudinally divided into a right side and a left side, that includes ties, or other types of conventional fasteners such as snaps, buttons, releasable adhesive, hook and loop type fasteners, which when tied together secure the two sides, along with reinforced sewing patterns in the upper and lower part of the pocket providing reinforcement.

    [0019] The medical Gown incudes a collar and two oppositely disposed elongated sleeves. The medical Gown is made of the material proper for such, and or the same material described above and below.

    [0020] In use, medical personnel wearing a color-coded Surgical scrubs or other color-coded article of clothing dons the Surgical Gown's in a customary manner. The Surgical personnel may then carry out his or her duties while wearing the Surgical Utility Gown.

It is recommended that the utility pocket not be utilized with sharp objects such as scalpel blades, or awls, or similar, and that it be divided to prevent possible falling of instruments.
