Abstract
A transversely extensible continuous elastic laminates includes a continuous elastic tape sandwiched between two continuous webs, and at least one row of tabs extending transversely outside the two webs, wherein the tabs are made of a non-woven material and have respective micro-hook formations integrally formed in the non-woven material forming the tabs.
Claims
1. A transversely extensible continuous elastic laminate comprising: a first and a second continuous web extending along a longitudinal direction, having respective pleated central portions having pleats parallel to said longitudinal direction and respective first and second non-pleated edge portions on opposite sides of said pleated central portions, a continuous elastic tape extending in said longitudinal direction, and sandwiched between said pleated central portions of said first and second continuous web, wherein said elastic tape is elastically stretchable in a transversal direction transversal to said longitudinal direction, and wherein said elastic tape is joined to the first and second continuous web by a pattern of spot welds, and at least one row of tabs protruding in said transversal direction beyond at least one of said non-pleated edge portions, said tabs being made of a non-woven material and having micro-hook fastening formations integrally formed in the non-woven material forming said tabs.

The transversely extensible continuous elastic laminate of claim 1, comprising at least one continuous support web made of non-woven material, including a continuous edge portion extending in said longitudinal direction and joined to one of said non-pleated edge portions of said first and second continuous web by said pattern of spot welds, the at least one continuous support web including a row of tabs transversely extending from said continuous edge portion, said tabs of said support web row of tabs being connected to each other by said continuous edge portion and being spaced apart from each other in said longitudinal direction.
3. The transversely extensible continuous elastic laminate of claim 1, wherein said at least one row of tabs is integrally formed with said first or second continuous web.

The transversely extensible continuous elastic laminate of claim 1, comprising a first and a second tab chain of non-woven material having respective continuous longitudinal edge portions joined to respective first and second non-pleated edge portions of the first and second continuous web and fixed thereto by said pattern of spot welds, and respective tabs of said at least one row of tabs extending from the respective continuous longitudinal edge portions.
5. The transversely extensible continuous elastic laminate of claim 4, wherein in each of said continuous tab chains the respective tabs are spaced apart from each other in said longitudinal direction and wherein the tabs of the two continuous tab chains are offset with respect to each other.
6. An elastic side panel for absorbent sanitary articles, comprising: a first and a second web, having respective pleated central portions having pleats parallel to a first direction, and respective first and second non-pleated edge portions on opposite sides of said pleated central portions, an elastic tape sandwiched between said pleated central portions of said first and second web, wherein said elastic tape is elastically stretchable in a second direction transversal to said first direction, wherein said elastic tape is joined to the first and second web by a pattern of spot welds, and a tab protruding in said transversal direction beyond at least one of said non-pleated edge portions, said tab being made of a non-woven material and having a micro-hook fastening formation integrally formed in the non-woven material forming said tab.

The elastic side panel of claim 6, comprising a support web of non-woven material including an edge portion joined to one of said non-pleated edge portions of said first and second web and fixed thereto by said pattern of spot welds, said edge portion having in said first direction a same length as said non-pleated edge portion, the support web including an integral tab extending from said edge portion.
8. The elastic side panel of claim 6, wherein said tab is integrally formed with said first and/or second web.
9. An absorbent sanitary article comprising an absorbent central body and two or four elastic side panels fixed to two opposite longitudinal edges of said central body, wherein each of said elastic side panels comprises: a first and a second web, having respective pleated central portions having pleats parallel to a first direction, and respective first and second non-pleated edge portions on opposite sides of said pleated central portions, an elastic tape sandwiched between said pleated central portions of said first and second web, wherein said elastic tape is elastically stretchable in a second direction transversal to said first direction, wherein said elastic tape is joined to the first and second web by a pattern of spot welds, and a tab protruding in said transversal direction beyond at least one of said non-pleated edge portions, said tab being made of a non-woven material and having a micro-hook fastening formation integrally formed in the non-woven material forming said tab.
