<i>Geranium </i>plant named ‘INTENSE’

Abstract

A new and distinct cultivar of Geranium plant named ‘INTENSE’ is disclosed, characterized by bright pink flowers, and green foliage with red coloration in Autumn. Plants are floriferous and have a spreading, mounding growth habit. The new variety is a Geranium, typically produced as an outdoor ornamental plant.

Description

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS

(1) The accompanying photograph in FIG. 1 illustrates in full color a typical plant of ‘INTENSE’ grown outdoors in Boskoop, the Netherlands. This plant is approximately 18 months old, grown in a 19 cm pot.

(6) The photographs were taken using conventional techniques and although colors may appear different from actual colors due to light reflectance it is as accurate as possible by conventional photographic techniques.

DETAILED BOTANICAL DESCRIPTION

(7) In the following description, color references are made to The Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart 2015, except where general terms of ordinary dictionary significance are used. The following observations and measurements describe ‘INTENSE’ plants grown outdoors in Boskoop, the Netherlands. Temperatures ranged from −5° C. to 25° C. at night to 5° C. to 32° C. during the day. No artificial light, photoperiodic treatments were given to the plants. Measurements and numerical values represent averages of typical plant types. Botanical classification: Geranium x cantabrigiense ‘INTENSE’.

PROPAGATION

(8) Typical method: Cuttings. Root initiation: 2 to 3 weeks. 5 weeks from rooted cutting to a young plant.
