    Abstract

    A sock comprised of heal, arch and toe portions with targeted compression is disclosed. In general, the invention presents a five finger toe sock which provides for a combination of support and constriction points that specifically target and is conducive to blood flow of the common users foot. The five finger sock with strategic targeting points is selected by the customer and worn with regular shoes to increase blood flow, movement, vasodilation, and comfort.

    Claims

    1. A sock that comprises of: an inlet section and a sole section knit into a unit that comprises of a heel section, an arch section and a five-finger toe section; said heel section comprising of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure onto the heel of a foot producing a significant compression effect as compared to the adjacent zones; said arch section comprising of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure on the arch of a foot producing a constriction effect in the targeted arch section, and; said toe section comprising of compression finger sections characterized in that for each toe, a compression is applied producing a compression effect compared to the adjacent zones of the foot.

    2. A sock according to claim 1, wherein said sock comprises of a truncated inlet section to make up an ankle sock.

    3. A sock according to claim 1, wherein said sock comprises of an extended inlet section to make up a knee-high sock.

    4. A sock according to claim 1, wherein the arch compression zone is characterized by a lateral section along the bottom of the sock sole that would typically be in contact with the foot sole and heel.

    5. A sock according to claim 1, wherein said arch compression zone comprises of restrictive band-like material that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch.

    6. A sock according to claim 1, wherein said arch compression zone comprises of a constriction that generally affects the section around the arch.

    7. A method of promoting unrestricted blood flow throughout a users foot characterized in that a sock is worn on a foot that combines targeted heel and arch compression, and a five-finger section that has a compressing effect on each toe section.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    [0024] In the first embodiment according to FIG. 1 of the diagrams, it is illustrated a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure. The diagram illustrates a sock with an inlet section 4 and a sole section 5, together forming a wearable sock that covers the foot of a human. The inlet section allows a human foot to enter into the sock, wherein the heel, arch, sole and toes of the foot are covered by the sole section of the foot. Moreover, the sock has a heel compression section 1, an arch compression section 2 and a toe section 3. The said heel section 1 comprises of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure onto the heel of a foot producing a significant compression effect as compared to the adjacent zones. The said arch section 2 comprises of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure on the arch of a foot producing a constriction effect in the targeted arch section. The said toe section 3 comprising of compression finger sections characterized in that for each toe, a compression is applied producing a compression effect compared to the adjacent zones of the foot.

It illustrates has a heel compression section 10, an arch compression section 11 and a toe section 12, wherein the compression zone 11 comprises of restrictive band-like material that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch, typically around the arch and sole of the foot.

It comprises of a heel compression section 40, an arch compression section 41 and a toe section 42, wherein the arch compression zone is characterized by a lateral section along the bottom of the sock sole that would typically be in contact with the foot sole and heel. For example, the compression zone may be one that acts on the heel, arch and sole consecutively such as having a continuous compression along the bottom of the sole from the heel to the toe of the sock.

    [0029] In a final embodiment according to FIG. 6 of the diagrams is an embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure demonstrating a heel compression section 50, an arch compression section 51 and a toe section 52, wherein the arch compression zone demonstrates a constriction arch section embodying restrictive band-like material. The said arch compression zone comprises of restrictive band-like material such as rubber bands or sections of compression bands on the arch that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch. The sock may further have an extended inlet section, or a truncated one provided that it has all three compression zones.
