    Abstract

    The claimed invention provides a new, stylish and useful way of layering necklace jewelry so as to avoid tangles between necklaces and to reduce the complication of untangling tangled necklaces.

    Claims

    1. A dual clasp necklace comprising: a main necklace section having a first end and a second end; at first necklace extension section, the first necklace extension section being attached to the first end of the main necklace section and a second end comprising a clasp; a second necklace extension section, the second necklace extension section being attached to the second end of the main necklace section and a second end comprising a clasp.

    2. The dual clasp necklace of claim 1 wherein each of the necklace extension sections comprises an attachment chain link.

    3. The dual clasp necklace of claim 2 wherein the attachment chain link is larger than other chain links.

    4. The dual clasp necklace of claim 1 further comprising a second necklace, the second necklace having a first end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the first necklace extension and a second end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the second necklace extension.

    5. The dual clasp necklace of claim 1 further comprising a second necklace, the second necklace having a first end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the attachment chain link in the first necklace extension and a second end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the attachment chain link in the second necklace extension.

    6. The dual clasp necklace of claim 1 wherein the main necklace comprises at least one attachment chain link situated close the first end of the main necklace section and a second attachment chain link situated close the second end of the main necklace section.

    7. A dual clasp necklace comprising: a main necklace section having a first end and a second end; at first necklace extension section, the first necklace extension section being attached to the first end of the main necklace section and comprising a first attachment link and a second end comprising a clasp; a second necklace extension section, the second necklace extension section being attached to the second end of the main necklace section and comprising a second attachment link and a second end comprising a clasp; and a second necklace, the second necklace having a first end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the attachment chain link in the first necklace extension and a second end comprising a clasp that is removably attachable to the attachment chain link in the second necklace extension.

    8. The dual clasp necklace of claim 7 wherein the attachment chain link is larger than other chain links.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    [0009] Now referring to FIG. 1, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements, FIG. 1 shows a jewelry chain 1. The inventive jewelry chain 11 is comprised of a jewelry chain 1. Jewelry chain 11 is further comprised of chain extensions 3 fixed at one or preferably both ends of the jewelry chain 1. Chain extensions 3 can be of a similar chain pattern or can be different from jewelry chain 1. Chain extensions 3 can also be of variable length. At the other end of each chain extension 3 is a clasp 5. Clasp 5 is adapted to be attached to either another chain (not shown) or the clasp 5 at the other end of jewelry chain. Chain extensions 3 typically feature at least one slightly larger attachment chain link 7. Attachment chain link 7 is designed to accommodate the clasp of another necklace 9. Necklace 9 also comprises a clasp 5 on each end. Clasps are used to attach to attachment chain loop 7 of chain extension 3. Thus necklace 9 sits below necklace 1 creating a fashionable layered look, but avoiding or reducing the potential for tangled necklaces and making the process of untangling the necklaces easier and more convenient.
