    Abstract

    The “MARUSIA'S HAND” is to provide a way of holding umbrella with no hands, by providing a way to hold the umbrella your hands are free to hold your children when it is raining. “MARUSIA'S HAND” will be used by mailmen when it is raining, will be used by policemen, will be used in sporting events, football/soccer coaches, football/soccer referees and will be used by people who are outside when it is raining.

    1. THE APPLICANT CLAIMS THE BROADEST POSSIBLE LEGALLY VALID CLAIM FOR THE “MARUSIA'S HAND” AND/OR INVENTION DESCRIBED IN THE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE. THE APPLICANT CLAIMS THAT “MARUSIA'S HAND” WILL BE USED IN HELPING PEOPLE TO HAVE FREE HANDS AND TO HOLD OTHER ITEMS.

    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

    A. Overview

    [0028] Turning now descriptively to the drawings, in which similar reference characters denote similar elements throughout the several views, the figures show 19 inches pvc plastic pipe, graphite nylon straps, metal or plastic buckle, thumb screw for securing the umbrella with the 19 inches pvc pipe.

    B. Existing Umbrella/Shat

    [0029] The existing umbrella (1) and umbrella shaft (2) to have new wooden handle (3) 7 inches×1 inch diameter. See FIG. 2 and FIG. 6.

    [0030] The wooden handle (3) to have two holes, one at the top (3.1) at 9/16 inches diameter and 4½ inches in depth, the other one at the bottom (3.2) at ½ inches diameter and ⅝ inches in depth. See FIG. 6.

    [0031] The wooden handle (3) to have glue applied on the inside (3.1) and have (3.3) M14 steel washer applied on top of (3) wooden handle and (2) existing umbrella shaft to be inserted into (3.1) at 4½ inches in depth. See FIG. 6.

    C. Metal U-Shape Attachment to the Belt

    [0033] The metal U-shape (6.3) a belt for support the pvc pipe. Rivet (6.4) to be used with (6.5) metal plate and (6) 1 inch wide graphite nylon strap. See FIG. 4.

    D. Graphite Nylon Strap, for Support

    [0034] Graphite nylon strap (6) to have 6 inches in length, with brass grommet (6.2) for connection point (9). Graphite nylon (6.1) to have 60 inches in length, with brass grommet (6.2) for connection point (10). The graphite nylon straps (6) and (6.1) to be installed with metal or plastic buckle (5). See FIG. 3.

    E. Graphite Nylon Strap, for Stabilization

    F. Pvc Plastic Tube

    [0036] The pvc plastic tube (4) 19 inches in length with four ¼ inches holes, two at 8 inches from the top and two 1½ inches from the bottom for threaded rod ¼ inch in diameter and 2 inches in length (7). The pvc plastic tube to have wooden dowel 1 inch in diameter (4.1) to be glued to the bottom. See FIG. 7.

    [0040] The assembly of thumb screw (8) is provided with ⅜ inches diameter hole (8.1) for connection of the threaded rod (7) ¼ inches diameter. The thumb screw (8) is installed with hex nut ⅜ inch-16 size (8.3) then install 1 inch diameter-⅝ inches thick rubber grommet (8.2). See FIG. 8.

    G. The Assembly of the Umbrella and MARUSIA'S HAND

    [0041] The “MARUSIA'S HAND” is attached to a person as shown in FIG. 1 and the umbrella shaft (3) is inserted to the pvc pipe (4) and connection point is made between (13) and (14) then rotate the umbrella clockwise to security as one unit as shown in FIG. 1, to remove the umbrella, rotate the umbrella counterclockwise.

    H. Alternative Embodiments of Invention

    [0042] There is alternative variations for connection of the umbrella. The assembly of thumb screw (8) is provided with ⅜ inches diameter hole (8.1) for connection of the threaded rod (7) ¼ inches diameter. The thumb screw (8) is installed with hex nut ⅜ inch-16 size (8.3), insert ¾ inches diameter metal washer (8.4), insert 1 inch diameter-⅝ inches thick rubber grommet (8.6), insert ¾ inches diameter metal washer (8.4), insert hex nut ⅜ inch-16 size (8.5). See FIG. 9.

    I. Operation of Preferred Embodiment

    [0043] The “MARUSIA'S HAND” is to hold umbrella with no hands as shown in FIG. 1.

    [0044] When the umbrella handle is modified as indicated FIG. 6 the handle will be secured when it is connected with (8) thumb screw and it will be one unit.

    [0045] When the umbrella is removed from the “MARUSIA'S HAND” you can get in the car without removing the straps, because of the length of 19 inches pvc pipe.
