    Abstract

A child's pressure vest that connects to an adult's vest/backpack attachment by the means of a two mode retractable device. One end of the retractable device is built into the back of the child's vest; the opposite end is built into the adult's vest clasp that snaps together across the adult's chest. The two mode lengths being four and five feet are controlled by a button on top of the adult's vest clasp. The adult's vest/backpack attachment connects and detaches by four clasps: two stitched on the shoulders of the vest, two stitched on bottom of the vest on opposite ends, which can be snapped together to connect or pinched to be taken apart.

    Claims

    1. A child protection restraint for limiting the radius of movement of a child, compromising: a) A child pressure vest, with said vest connected to; b) An adult vest/backpack attachment, connected by; c) A two mode retractable device: with said device connecting the child's vest and adult's vest: one end is built into the back of the child's vest, the other end into the clasp that snaps together across the chest of the adult's vest/backpack attachment, including; d) A five foot casting wire, with one end of said wire built into said retractable device into the back of the child's vest, the other end of said wire feeds out of said retractable device built into the adult's vest chest clasp.

    DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

[0036] Referring to drawings, the child's pressure vest (1, FIG. 3C) will have one end of the retractable system (4, FIG. 3C) stitched securely into the back of the vest as shown in FIG. 1. The stitches will secure enough to avoid ripping in the instance of a jerk/halt of a running child. The cascading wire (5, FIG. 2A) will be durable enough to withstand being cut by average wire cutters and essentially wrapped in safe woven material: safe enough to burn or irritate in the case of possible tangling. The adult's vest two part clasp (6 & 11, FIG. 3A) will be large and wide enough to be able to fit the second half of the retractable system (10, FIG. 3B) which will enclose the five feet casting wire. The small button (7, FIG. 3A) will control the free range length of four or five feet to safely keep the child in close proximity. The main range will be four feet, one press of the button will allow five feet, and the final press will revert back to four feet. The adult's vest (2, FIG. 2B) will be detachable from the adult's backpack (3, FIG. 2B) by four clasp (8, 9). The adult's vest (2, FIG. 2B) detaches to allow more mobility for the parent, i.e. wading in the beach, hiking, or jogging. The adult's backpack (3, FIG. 2B) attaches to the vest to provide storage for essentials needed for on the go trips.

    CONCLUSION AND SCOPE OF INVENTION

[0037] The hands free attachment system provides pressured comfort for the child learning to disconnect from being carried by the parent. The system eliminates the metal hooks leashes need to connect the child and adult together, makes the system more appealing to the eye and more likely socially acceptable.

[0038] The casting line connecting the adult and child will strong and durable top withstand being cut by average wire cutters, wrapped in safe material to protect anyone it comes in contact with.

[0039] The retractable device controlled by a single touch of a button will essentially allow free range casting at 4 or 5 feet. Four feet will be the main free range, while a simple click will allow five feet of free range distance. A final click will return the distance back to the main range. The desired lengths will be completely controlled by the adult, depending on location and surroundings.

[0040] The adult's attachable backpack will be used for essential storage and will include cup holders, pockets, etc. While the adult's vest attachment will be used for athletic use.
