Abstract
A waist belt tablet case apparatus for securing a tablet to a person's waist includes a case body having a case back side, a case sidewall, and a case lip extending from the case sidewall. The case sidewall and the case lip are elastically deformable to receive and secure a tablet within the case body. A plurality of belt attachments is coupled to the case body. Each belt attachment is coupled to an outer face of the case sidewall at a corner thereof. A belt is coupled to the plurality of belt attachments. The belt has a pair of attachment clips with each attachment clip being selectively engageable with the plurality of belt attachments.
Claims
1. A waist belt tablet case apparatus comprising: a case body having a case back side, a case sidewall, and a case lip extending from the case sidewall, the case sidewall and the case lip being elastically deformable to receive and secure a tablet within the case body, the case body defining four straight sides around the case body; a plurality of belt attachments coupled to the case body, each belt attachment being coupled to an outer face of the case sidewall at a corner thereof such that an opening of each belt attachment is positioned at the corner and aligned with an adjacently positioned pair of the straight sides of the case body, the plurality of belt attachments being four belt attachments; and a belt coupled to the plurality of belt attachments, the belt having a pair of attachment clips, each attachment clip being selectively engageable with the plurality of belt attachments, the belt being selectively engageable with two adjacently positioned belt attachments of the plurality of belt attachments to achieve the desired orientation of the tablet with the pair of attachment clips being aligned along the straight side of the case body extending between the adjacently positioned belt attachments engaged by the attachment clips.
2. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 1 further comprising a handle coupled to the case body, the handle being coupled to the outer face of the case sidewall.
3. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 2 further comprising the handle being arcuate and coupled to a bottom portion of the case sidewall.
4. (canceled)
5. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 1 further comprising an apex of each belt attachment being rounded.
6. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 1 further comprising the case back side having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough.
7. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 1 further comprising the case lip having a camera notch.
8. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 1 further comprising the belt including a first half having a buckle and a second half having a receiver, the buckle and the receiver being selectively engageable.
9. The waist belt tablet case apparatus of claim 8 further comprising the length of the first half being selectively adjustable within the buckle.
10. A waist belt tablet case apparatus comprising: a case body having a case back side, a case sidewall, and a case lip extending from the case sidewall, the case sidewall and the case lip being elastically deformable to receive and secure a tablet within the case body, the case back side having a plurality of apertures extending therethrough, the case lip having a camera notch, the case body defining four straight sides around the case body; a plurality of belt attachments coupled to the case body, the plurality of belt attachments being four belt attachments, each belt attachment being coupled to an outer face of the case sidewall at a corner thereof such that an opening of each belt attachment is positioned at the corner and aligned with an adjacently positioned pair of the straight sides of the case body, an apex of each belt attachment being rounded; a handle coupled to the case body, the handle being coupled to the outer face of the case sidewall, the handle being arcuate and coupled to a bottom portion of the case sidewall; and a belt coupled to the plurality of belt attachments, the belt having a pair of attachment clips, each attachment clip being selectively engageable with the plurality of belt attachments, the belt being selectively engageable with any two belt attachments of the plurality of belt attachments to achieve the desired orientation of the tablet with the pair of attachment clips being aligned along the straight side of the case body extending between the adjacently positioned belt attachments engaged by the attachment clips, the belt including a first half having a buckle and a second half having a receiver, the buckle and the receiver being selectively engageable, the length of the first half being selectively adjustable within the buckle.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
[0011] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

[0016]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0017] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0018] As best illustrated in
[0019] A plurality of belt attachments 28 is coupled to the case body 12. The plurality of belt attachments 28 may be four belt attachments 28. Each belt attachment 28 is coupled to an outer face 30 of the case sidewall at a corner 32 thereof. An apex 34 of each belt attachment may be rounded.
[0020] A handle 36 is coupled to the case body 12. The handle 36 is coupled to the outer face 30 of the case sidewall. The handle 36 may be arcuate and coupled to a bottom portion 38 of the case sidewall. The handle 36 may be dimensioned to be sufficiently large enough to be secured by the entirety of an adult's hand.
[0021] A belt 40 is coupled to the plurality of belt attachments 28. The belt 40 has a pair of attachment clips 42. Each attachment clip 42 may have a U-shaped portion 44 and a head portion 46 with a spring-loaded catch arm 48. The catch arm 48 is selectively engageable with the plurality of belt attachments 28. The belt 40 is selectively engageable with any two belt attachments 28 of the plurality of belt attachments to achieve the desired orientation of the tablet 20 relative the user. The belt 40 may include a first half 50 having a buckle 52 and a second half 54 having a receiver 56. The buckle 52 and the receiver 56 are selectively engageable to more easily engage or disengage the belt 40 onto the user's waist. The length of the first half 50 is selectively adjustable within the buckle 52.
[0022] In use, the tablet 20 is engaged within the case body 12. The pair of attachment clips 42 are then engaged with the desired belt attachments 28 depending on whether the user wants the tablet 20 secured in portrait or landscape orientation. The belt 40 is placed around the user's waist and the buckle 52 is engaged in the receiver 56. The user may thus drop the tablet 20 without fear of creating damage and may also carry the tablet 20 while keeping his or her hands free.
[0023] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0024] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
