Abstract
A method of constructing a tight mesh golf net with a support frame that returns the ball to a golfer who is hitting balls into it, the distinguishing feature is that a tight mesh golf net, which is created with the net configuration around the support frame that returns the golf ball via a return net to the golfer
Claims
1. A method of constructing a fine mesh golf net that returns to the golfer balls hit into the net to the user comprising; creating a section of the net for returning the ball forward of an upright potion of the net, the forward section of net returning the ball being the starting point for the net's installation; utilizing return rods inserted into a sleeve of the net for returning the ball, where the return rods are attached to side supports and then run through a sleeve ending at the forward section of the net returning the ball; incorporating the side supports to hold the net upright with the side supports rising to the top of the upright section of the net; the side supports having front legs, which rise less than 25% of the total height of the side supports; utilizing a rod that connects the lower back portion of the two side supports; incorporating on the top end of the side support and on the top of the front legs connecting apparatus to hold the top of the net; having the side supports be approximately 10% longer than the height of the net; routing the fine mesh net from the section of the net for returning the ball under the rod that connects the two side supports, then wrapping back over the rod that connects the side supports, then pulling the net toward the net's starting position, then attaching the net to the connecting apparatus on the front legs of the side supports, and then raising the net and then attaching the connecting apparatus to the top of the side supports; Whereby the routing of the net from the front of the net, with the net held in place with return bars, under and around the bar creates extra tension on the net, added tension is created by the side supports being flexed outward in order to attach the top of the net, which is shorter than the side supports, creating a taut net.
2. The method of claim where additional net tautness is created by adding fasteners on both sides of the net, a distance away from the edge that is less than 25% of the total net distance, the fasteners then being attached to the side supports.
3. The method of claim 1 where a banner is placed above the rod that connects the two side supports, with one end attached to one side support and the other end attached to the other side support the opposite side support.
4. The method of claim 1 where the fastening devices on the front legs and on the top of the side supports are created with tops to the top of front legs and top of the side supports that are larger than diameters of side supports and front legs, in addition cylinders are added below the tops of the side supports and the top of the front legs, leaving a space between the cylinder and the tops for a fabric loop to be inserted.
5. The method of claim 1 where the fastening apparatus connected to the net at the top, and in apposition where they can be attached to the front legs of the side supports are fabric loops.
