Abstract
A load-carrying loops array is an apparatus that is intended to be worn comfortably on a lower extremity and secured onto or over a garment. For example, the apparatus may be attached to the work belt of the user and extended down the leg to about mid-calf. The apparatus further provides two or more flexible fasteners that can keep the apparatus in place while the user performs various activities that may involve movement such as bending, standing, or running. One fastener may be positioned above the knee and another below the knee. Additional fasteners of different types can be provided to further secure the apparatus to the leg of the user. A set of loops allows users to connect different external attachments, such as pouches of different styles, to hold various items such as tools, connectors, magazine clips, portable electronics, and more.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0013] All illustrations of the drawings are for the purpose of describing selected versions of the present invention and are not intended to limit the scope of the present invention.
[0014] The present invention is a load-carrying loops array that is intended to be worn comfortably on a lower extremity and secured onto or over a garment. The wearable modular lightweight load-carrying equipment (MOLLE) panel is configured to provide convenient temporary support of tools, storage devices, and items during various activities, such as fishing, law enforcement, manual labor, and more, as shown in
[0015] The general configuration of the aforementioned components allows the present invention to efficiently and effectively improve the accessibility of items and attachable storage devices. The fabric base panel 1 comprises a first lengthwise edge 2, a second lengthwise edge 3, a first widthwise edge 4, a second widthwise edge 5, a proximal face 6, and a distal face 7, as shown in
[0016] The fabric base panel 1 provides a platform for connection and orientation of the various straps and loops that provide the present invention with its various functional features. The plurality of multi-loop straps 8 may be positioned parallel and offset from each other across the distal face 7, as shown in
[0017] The present invention benefits from the ability to fully secure to the user's leg in order to minimize potential motion of the fabric base panel 1 during use. To this end, the plurality of length-adjustable straps 11 may comprise a first length-adjustable strap 12, at least one intermediate length-adjustable strap 13, and a second length-adjustable strap 17, as shown in
[0018] The first length-adjustable strap 12 and the at least one intermediate length-adjustable strap 13 may further benefit from particular arrangements that allow for removable attachment to a user. To this end, the first length-adjustable strap 12 and the at least one intermediate length-adjustable strap 13 may further comprise a variable-length strap body 14, a first fastener piece 15, and a second fastener piece 16, as shown in
[0019] The second length-adjustable strap 17 preferably includes a mechanism by which to connect to a user's leg. To enable this, the second length-adjustable strap 17 may comprise a fixed-length strap body 18 and a buckle 19, as shown in
[0020] A user of the present invention may have various connectors that could enable the user to hang the fabric base panel 1 to the user's person, or for storage purposes. To this end, the present invention may further comprise at least one grommet 21, as shown in
[0021] The plurality of length-adjustable straps 11 requires a mechanism by which to connect to the fabric base panel 1 in order to hold the fabric base panel 1 in place during use. To allow for this, the present invention may further comprise a plurality of loop pairs 22, as shown in
[0022] It may also be preferable to provide a mechanism by which the plurality of length-adjustable straps 11 may connect to the fabric base panel 1 without the addition of the plurality of loop pairs 22. In order to enable this, the present invention may further comprise a plurality of slot pairs 23, as shown in
[0023] The plurality of multi-loop straps 8 requires the ability to secure various items onto the fabric base panel 1. To this end, each of the plurality of multi-loop straps 8 may comprise a plurality of loadable loops 9, as shown in
[0024] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
