Cover For Bra Back Strap

Abstract

A bra back strap cover that is an elongated sleeve that encloses a bra back strap on a bra worn by a wearer. The bra back strap cover has a fastening device that is hidden under a flap, so the fastening device does not detract from the bra back strap cover. The flap lays flat between the wearer's skin and the fastening device which provides a layer of protection and comfort. The bra back strap cover is preferably worn with an open back and/or low-cut back article of clothing.

Claims

1. A bra back strap cover that is an elongated sleeve that encloses a bra back strap on a bra worn by a wearer comprising; a. the bra back strap cover having an upper face and lower face, a strap length and a strap width, wherein the bra back strap cover width is wider than the bra back strap so the bra back strap cover can enclose the bra back strap; and b. wherein the bra back strap cover further comprises of an opening on each opposing side of the cover width forming a tunnel to guide the bra back straps through the bra back strap cover.

2. The bra back strap cover of claim 1, wherein said bra back strap cover is worn with an open back or low-cut back article of clothing.

3. The bra back strap cover of claim 1, wherein said bra back strap cover comprises a zipper hidden under a flap; and the zipper is situated parallel to a longitudinal edge of the bra back strap cover.

4. The bra back strap cover of claim 1, wherein said bra back strap cover further comprises ornamental features attached to the upper face of the bra back strap cover from the group consisting of beads, sequin, patch, ornament, jewelry, ornamental flower, stones, stitching, metal, stone, wood, crystal and the combination thereof.

5. The bra back strap cover of claim 1, wherein said bra back strap cover further comprises fabric and/or woven material.

6. A bra back strap cover that is an elongated sleeve that encloses a bra back strap on a bra worn by a wearer comprising; a. the bra back strap cover having an upper face and lower face, a strap length and a strap width, wherein the bra back strap cover width is wider than the bra back strap so the bra back strap cover can enclose the bra back strap; and b. wherein the bra back strap cover further comprises of an opening on each opposing side of the cover width forming a tunnel to guide the bra back straps through the bra back strap cover.

7. The bra back strap cover of claim 6, wherein said bra back strap cover further comprises; an elastic band used as an interior layer to provide structure to the bra back strap cover.

8. The bra back strap cover of claim 6, wherein said bra back strap cover further comprises fastening devices from the group consisting of a zipper, hook, adhesive, button, magnet, snap, link, pin, stitching and combinations thereof.

9. The bra back strap cover of claim 6, wherein said bra back strap cover further comprises fabric and/or woven material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0019] The embodiments of the invention are explained in greater detail with references to non-limiting embodiments, drawings and examples already described and will be mentioned in the following description. It is also necessary to mention the drawings are not drawn to scale. The drawings are given to support the purpose and use of the invention.

[0020] In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the bra back strap cover 10 is an elongated sleeve with an opening on each opposing side of the bra back strap cover width. The bra back strap cover can be made of a stretch fabric of any material to accommodate different lengths of the bra back straps. However, the bra back strap cover can be made in non-stretch material. The bra back strap cover encloses the bra back strap that is worn with an open back and/or low-cut back article of clothing. In FIG. 1, the bra back strap cover is visible from the opening in the article of clothing.

[0021] FIG. 2 shows the bra back strap cover is affixed to a bra 20. In the embodiment of FIG. 6, the back view of the bra back strap cover shows the zipper 50 is under the flap 40. The bra back strap cover has an upper face and a lower face. The zipper is situated parallel to the longitudinal edge of the bra back strap cover. However, the position and length of the zipper is in a non-limiting sense. The flap lays flat against the wearer's skin, so the wearer does not have direct contact with the zipper. The flap provides a layer of protection and comfort for the wearer and keeps the enclosed zipper in place. FIG. 4 shows tunnel edges 30 to illustrate an opening on each opposing side of the bra back strap cover width. The width of the tunnel is wider than the bra back straps so when the zipper is opened the bra back straps can be guided through the tunnel from opposite ends of the bra back strap cover. When the bra back straps are brought together and fastened, the bra back strap cover is used to enclose the bra back straps by closing the zipper.

[0022] In the embodiment of FIG. 8, the view of the inside of the bra back strap cover shows an elastic band 60. The elastic band is layered in the interior of the bra back strap cover to provide structure to material that may have little to no structure.
