Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a lightsaber blade. The lightsaber blade includes a first end and a second end disposed on the opposite side. A translucent intermediate portion is arranged between the first end and the second end of the lightsaber blade. A first connection element is disposed on the first end and a second connection element is disposed on the second end. Embodiments of the present invention further disclose various types of modular lightsabers constructed using the lightsaber blade. The new and improved lightsaber blade has the advantage that both ends of the lightsaber blade could be used for removably connecting the lightsaber blade to a variety of accessories and devices.
Claims
1. A lightsaber blade (100) comprising: a first end (110), and a second end (120) disposed on the opposite side; a translucent intermediate portion (130) arranged between the first end (110) and the second end (120), wherein the translucent intermediate portion (130) is configured to allow light to pass therethrough; a first connection element (112) disposed on the first end (110); a second connection element (122) disposed on the second end (120); and wherein the first connection element (112) and the second connection element (122) comprise a plurality of screw threads (113) and a plurality of screw threads (123) respectively.
2. The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of screw threads (113) of the first connection element (112) are disposed on the external surface of the first end (110).
3. The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of screw threads (123) of the second connection element (122) are disposed on the internal surface of the second end (120).
4. The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the first connection element (112) is configured for a removable threaded connection with a light source (10).

The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the connection element (122) is configured for removable threaded connection with an object selected from a group comprising of a light source (10), an accessory (130), an end plug (140), an inverse coupler (160), a sparkler coupler (170), a male coupler (180), and a female coupler (190).

The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the second connection element (122) is configured for a removable threaded connection with an additional lightsaber blade (100) to form a dual lightsaber blade, wherein the overall length of the dual lightsaber blade is equal to the sum of the lightsaber blade (100) and the additional lightsaber blade (100).
7. The lightsaber blade (100) according to claim 1, wherein the lightsaber blade (100) is substantially formed of a material comprising of polycarbonate, glass, plastics, and combinations thereof.
8. A modular lightsaber (200) comprising: a plurality of light sources (10) and a plurality of lightsaber blades (100) arranged in a linear pattern; wherein each light source (10) comprises a light emitting end (11) and an opposite second end (12); wherein each lightsaber blade (100) comprises a first end (110) and a second end (120) disposed on the opposite side; a translucent intermediate portion (130) arranged between the first end (110) and the second end (120); a first connection element (112) disposed on the first end (110); a second connection element (122) disposed on the second end (120); wherein the first connection element (112) of each lightsaber blade (100) is removably connected to the light emitting end (11) of a corresponding distinct light source (10) selected from the plurality of light sources (10); and wherein the second connection element (122) of at least one lightsaber blade (100) is removably connected to the second end (12) of a corresponding distinct light source (10) selected from the plurality of light sources (10).

The modular lightsaber (200) according to claim 8 further comprising at least one inverse coupler (160), wherein each inverse coupler (160) is configured to facilitate removable coupling between the second connection element (122) of a lightsaber blade (100) and the second end (12) of a corresponding distinct light source (10) selected from the plurality of light sources (10); wherein the inverse coupler (160) further comprises a ring-like cylindrical portion (162), a finger actuation portion (164) disposed over the cylindrical portion (162), and a pair of screw couplings (166) arranged on the opposite sides of the finger actuation portion (164).
10. The modular lightsaber (200) according to claim 8, wherein the light source (10) comprises a handle portion (13), at least one actuation switch (14), a light emitting mechanism (15), and a battery (16).
11. The modular lightsaber (200) according to claim 8, wherein the first connection element (112) and the second connection element (122) comprise a plurality of screw threads (113) and a plurality of screw threads (123) respectively.
12. The modular lightsaber (200) according to claim 8, wherein the plurality of screw threads (113) of the first connection element (112) are disposed on the external surface of the first end (110).
13. The modular lightsaber (200) according to claim 8, wherein the plurality of screw threads (123) of the second connection element (122) are disposed on the internal surface of the second end (120).
14. A modular lightsaber (150) comprising: a pair of light sources (10) and a lightsaber blade (100); wherein each light source (10) comprises a light emitting end (11) and an opposite second end (12); wherein the lightsaber blade (100) comprises a first end (110) and a second end (120) disposed on the opposite side; a translucent intermediate portion (130) arranged between the first end (110) and the second end (120); a first connection element (112) disposed on the first end (110); a second connection element (122) disposed on the second end (120); wherein the light emitting end (11) of a light source (10) selected from the pair of light sources (10) is removably connected to the first connection element (112) of the lightsaber blade (100); and wherein the light emitting end (11) of the remaining light source (10) selected from the pair of light sources (10) is removably connected to the second connection element (122) of the lightsaber blade (100).

The modular lightsaber (150) according to claim 14, wherein an inverse coupler (160) is configured to facilitate removable coupling between the second connection element (122) of a lightsaber blade (100) and the light emitting end (11) of the remaining light source (10) selected from the pair of light sources (10); wherein the inverse coupler (160) further comprises a ring-like cylindrical portion (162), a finger actuation portion (164) disposed over the cylindrical portion (162), and a pair of screw couplings (166) arranged on the opposite sides of the finger actuation portion (164).
16. The modular lightsaber (150) according to claim 14, wherein the light source (10) comprises a handle portion (13), at least one actuation switch (14), a light emitting mechanism (15), and a battery (16).
17. The modular lightsaber (150) according to claim 14, wherein the first connection element (112) and the second connection element (122) comprise a plurality of screw threads (113) and a plurality of screw threads (123) respectively.
18. The modular lightsaber (150) according to claim 14, wherein the plurality of screw threads (113) of the first connection element (112) are disposed on the external surface of the first end (110).
19. The modular lightsaber (150) according to claim 14, wherein the plurality of screw threads (123) of the second connection element (122) are disposed on the internal surface of the second end (120).
