Abstract
A surface processing device, in particular a manual grinding device, with a processing body which has at least one processing surface for grinding or polishing a workpiece surface, wherein the processing body has a flat surface portion with a flat processing surface for processing flat workpiece surfaces and at least one curved section with a curved processing surface for processing curved workpiece surfaces. The curvature section of the processing device, extends over a side of the processing body opposite to the plane surface portion, wherein the curvature portion has a plurality of continuously merging curvature sections with mutually different radii of curvature and does not project in front of the flat processing surface of the flat surface portion.
Claims
1. A surface processing device, with a processing body, which has at least one processing surface for grinding or polishing a workpiece surface, where the processing body has a flat surface portion with a flat processing surface for processing flat workpiece surfaces and at least one curved portion with a curved processing surface for processing curved workpiece surfaces, wherein the curvature section extends over a side of the processing body opposite the flat surface section, wherein the curvature section has a plurality of continuously merging curvature sections with mutually different radii of curvature and not projecting in front of the flat processing surface of the flat surface section.
2. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the curved portion and the flat surface portion adjoin one another at an angle on at least one transition region.
3. The surface processing device according to claim 2, wherein a curvature portion of the curvature section at the at least one angular transition region has a larger radius of curvature than at least one further curvature section of the curvature section.
4. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the curved section merges tangentially into the flat surface section at exactly one or at least one transition region.
5. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein a radius of curvature of a curvature section which merges tangentially into the flat surface section is smaller than a radius of curvature of at least one further curvature portion of the curvature section, preferably all further radii of curvature of the other curvature portions of the curvature section.
6. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the curved section projects laterally next to the flat surface section on at least one side or exactly one side.
7. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein no polishing agent or abrasive or holding agent for holding an abrasive or polishing agent is arranged on at least one, angular, transition region between the flat surface section and the curved section.
8. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the curved section and the flat surface section extend on opposite sides of the processing body for the most part over the entire transverse width thereof.
9. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the flat surface section extends over a part of the cross-section of the processing body and the curvature section extends over all the remaining regions of the cross-section of the processing body.
10. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the curvature section adjoins mutually opposite transverse end regions of the flat surface section.
11. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body is designed wholly or at least in sections as a cylinder and/or as a cone and/or as a stepped body, on the circumferential surface of which the curved section and the flat surface section are provided.
12. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body has, in the region of the curved section, the profile of the upper side of a wing, on the underside of which the flat surface section is arranged.
13. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body is elastic at least in the region of the at least one processing surface and/or has a foam material, in the region of the at least one processing surface.
14. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body has holding means on its outer circumference or on the processing surfaces for holding an abrasive or polishing agent.
15. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body has an abrasive or polishing agent integrally on its outer circumference and/or on the processing surfaces.
16. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein the processing body has a longitudinal shape and/or is configured as a cylinder.
17. The surface processing device according to claim 1, wherein inlet openings are arranged on the at least one processing surface for suctioning off dust-laden dust air, where these inlet openings are flow-connected via a duct arrangement to a suction connection to which a suction device can be connected.
18. The surface processing device according to claim 17, further comprising an adjustment device for adjusting effective flow cross-sections, with which inlet openings of a first processing surface section of the at least one processing surface and inlet openings of at least a second processing surface section of the at least one processing surface are flow-connected to the suction connection, so that a suction effect can be set and/or switched off at the first processing surface portion of the at least one processing surface and the at least a second processing surface portion of the at least one processing surface.
19. The surface processing device according to claim 17, wherein an inlet duct arrangement which is open laterally with respect to the processing surface is arranged on the at least one processing surface and is flow-connected to the suction connection by means of at least one of the inlet openings or the inlet openings.

Using the processing surfaces 21-23, a schematically indicated workpiece W can be processed on its workpiece surface O, e.g. ground and/or polished. The processing surfaces 21-23 extend on an outer circumference 24 of the cylindrical processing body 20. The processing body 20 has a longitudinal shape and extends along a longitudinal direction or longitudinal axis L.
