Abstract
The invention relates to the technical field of thickener combinations for crop protection formulations with high salt content, in particular herbicidal formulations, and formulations containing said adjuvant combinations, as well as methods for producing said formulations. In a preferred embodiment, the instant invention relates to aqueous formulations of water-soluble active ingredients, in particular aqueous formulations of saltlike active ingredients, and especially to formulations containing glufosinate and or glyfosate, in combination with at least one further water insoluble active ingredient, which is suspended in the formulation, wherein the formulations contain a high salt content.
Claims
1. A thickener combination for an agrochemical formulation comprising: 1) a synthetic silicate, and 2) a natural silicate (optionally clay).
2. A thickener combination for an agrochemical formulation comprising: 1) a synthetic silicate, 3) xanthan, and 4) a cellulose.
3. Thickener combination according to claim 1, wherein synthetic silicate 1) has a spherical structure.
4. Thickener combination according to claim 1, wherein the natural silicate 2) has a needle shaped structure.
5. Thickener combination according to claim 1, wherein the ratio of 1) to 2) is from 1:5 to 5:1.
6. Thickener combination according to claim 2, wherein the ratio of 1) to combined 3 and 4) is from 1:5 to 5:1.
7. A liquid aqueous crop protectant composition comprising: (a) one or more water-soluble active crop protectant type (a) ingredients, (b) one or more water-insoluble active crop protectant type (b) ingredients, (c) optionally polar organic solvents, (d) at least one wetting agent, (e) at least one additive selected from the group consisting of non-ionic or anionic surfactants or dispersing aids, (f) at least one defoamer, (g) the thickener combination according to claim 1, (h) optionally, one or more other customary formulation assistants, and (i) water.
8. The crop protectant composition according to claim 7, wherein component a) is selected from the group consisting of glyphosate and glufosinate and salts thereof.
9. The crop protectant composition according to claim 7, wherein component b) is indaziflam.

The crop protectant composition as claimed in claim 7 comprising (a) 20% to 65%, optionally 25% to 60% and optionally 30% to 50% by weight of at least one water-soluble active crop protectant type (a) ingredients, (b) 0.1 to 5.0%, optionally 0.2 to 2.0% and optionally 0.3 to 1.8% by weight of at least one water-insoluble active crop protectant type (b) ingredients, (c) 0% to 20%, optionally 0 to 15%, and optionally 1 to 15% by weight of polar organic solvents, (d) 1% to 50%, optionally 5 to 45%, and optionally 10 to 38% by weight of at least one wetting agent, (e) 0.2 to 7%, optionally 0.5 to 3.5%, and optionally 0.6.to 1.5% by weight of at least one dispersing agent, (f) 0.01% to 3%, optionally 0.05% to 2% and optionally 0.1% to 1.5% by weight of at least one defoamer, (g) 0.3% to 8%, optionally 0.4% to 3.0% and optionally 0.5% to 2.0% by weight of the thickener combination, (h) 0.001 to 15%, optionally 0.01 to 10% and optionally 0.1 to 8.0% by weight of one or more customary formulation assistants, and (i) water to add up to 100%.
11. The crop protectant composition according to claim 10, wherein the thickener combination comprises 0.2% Xanthan, 0.5% synthetic silicate and 0.8% microfibrillar cellulose based on the total formulation respectively.
12. The crop protectant composition according to claim 10, wherein the thickener combination comprises 0.25% natural silicate and 0.27% synthetic silicate and 0.8% microfibrillar cellulose based on the total formulation respectively.
13. A product comprising the thickener composition of claim 1 for a crop protection formulation.
