Abstract

A firearm has a frame and a barrel connected to the frame. An insert received by the barrel is separable into a rear position and a forward portion, and the rear portion is threadably engaged to the forward portion. Both the rear portion and the forward portion defining rifles bores.

1. A firearm comprising: a frame; a barrel connected to the frame; an insert received by the barrel being separable into a rear position and a forward portion; the rear portion being threadably engaged to the forward portion; both the rear portion and the forward portion defining rifles bores.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0008] FIG. 1 shows them stowed in a compartment in the stock of the gun for easy transport and access. They could also be carried on the person.

[0009] FIG. 2 shows the inserts removed and FIG. 3 shows them being screwed together to form one full length insert.
