DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[0043] Before describing the invention in detail, it should be observed that the present invention resides primarily in a novel and non-obvious combination of elements and process steps. So as not to obscure the disclosure with details that will readily be apparent to those skilled in the art, certain conventional elements and steps have been presented with lesser detail, while the drawings and specification describe in greater detail other elements and steps pertinent to understanding the invention.
[0044] The following embodiments are not intended to define limits as to the structure or method of the invention, but only to provide exemplary constructions. The embodiments are permissive rather than mandatory and illustrative rather than exhaustive.
[0045] In the following, we describe the structure of an embodiment of a plant pot cover system 100 with reference to
[0046] In an embodiment, as shown in
[0051] In related embodiments, the plant pot cover system 100 can be used for decorating unsightly plastic flowerpots 180. The plant pot cover body 110 can be made from an expandable/stretchable and flexible fabric, which can be decorated with colorful images, text or designs, and has a closed bottom, such that the plant pot cover body 110 can be pulled upward and over a lip of the outside of the pot 180. The fabric of the plant pot cover body 110 can disguise the bland plastic pot options available at most home improvement centers. The plant pot cover body 110 can also be described as straight-sock-shaped, or bag-shaped, such that the plant pot cover body 110 includes a sidewall portion 112 and a bottom portion 114.
[0052] In an example embodiment, the plant pot cover body 110 can include flower images 118, which are randomly placed on a colorful fabric 112.
[0053] In another related embodiment, the plant pot cover body 110 can be coated with an antimicrobial coating, which includes an antimicrobial agent, such as a chemical composition, to help keep mildew and other fungi from forming and harming the live plant, whereby the antimicrobial coating inhibits growth of fungi and bacteria.
[0054] In another related embodiment, the stretchable/expandable fabric material of the plant pot cover body 110 can be woven/knitted from threads/fibers, which include: [0055] a) elastane, i.e. a polyether-polyurea copolymer, also known as LYCRA™ or SPANDEX™; [0056] b) polyester, including polyethylene terephthalate; [0057] c) other elastic materials; or [0058] d) a combination/blend of these.
[0059] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0062] In related embodiments, the plant pot cover body 110 can be held in place on the plant pot 180 by a friction of the stretchable fabric of the plant pot cover body 110 against a surface of the plastic pot 180.
[0063] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0065] In another related embodiment, the main clip portion 332 can further include: [0066] a) an outer clip flange 334; [0067] b) an inner clip flange 336; and [0068] c) a clip bridge 338; [0069] such that a top end of the outer clip flange 334 can be connected with a top end of the inner clip flange 336; [0070] such that the clip bridge 338 connects a top end of the outer clip flange 334 with a top end of the inner clip flange 336.
[0071] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0073] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0080] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0088] In a related embodiment, the water solution 570 can further comprise [0089] a) water; and [0090] b) a fertilizing agent, which is dissolved in the water; [0091] whereby the fertilizing agent can fertilize a plant, which is planted in the plant pot 180.
[0092] In a related embodiment, as shown in
[0095] In a further related embodiment, the solid fertilizing agent 872a, 872b can be configured as a granulate 872a, as shown in
[0096] In another further related embodiment, the solid fertilizing agent can be configured as a solid fertilizer tube 872b, which is positioned inside the hollow tube 442, as shown in
[0097] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0100] In another related embodiment, as shown in
[0103] In various embodiments, the plant pot cover system 100 can be sold as a starter kit 100, and replacement parts can be sold separately. The fertilizer ring 440 may typically need to be replaced every 1-3 months. The plant pot cover body 110 (i.e. decorative sock 110) can be purchased separately and changed out seasonally or when a different design is required. The plant pot cover system 100 can be manufactured in different sizes to fit different size pots 180, such as small, medium and large size. The plant pot cover body 110 can be printed with company names or logos, such that businesses, such as restaurants, have promotional messages on their planters.
[0104] Here has thus been described a multitude of embodiments of the . . . device, and methods related thereto, which can be employed in numerous modes of usage.
[0105] The many features and advantages of the invention are apparent from the detailed specification, and thus, it is intended by the appended claims to cover all such features and advantages of the invention, which fall within the true spirit and scope of the invention.
[0106] Many such alternative configurations are readily apparent and should be considered fully included in this specification and the claims appended hereto. Accordingly, since numerous modifications and variations will readily occur to those skilled in the art, the invention is not limited to the exact construction and operation illustrated and described, and thus, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the invention.
