MOUTHGUARD

Abstract

The present invention discloses a mouthguard. The mouthguard includes an occlusion unit to be bitten by teeth between the maxilla and the mandible of a wearer. A front end of the occlusion unit is connected to a protector for protection. The occlusion unit and the protector are transfixed with an exhalation opening, and the protector is provided with a groove unit to emplace a fixing body. The fixing body is provided with a fan which can rotate relatively on the fixing body, so that the wearer can inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth to breathe, which drives the fan to rotate, thereby increasing the vital capacity.

Claims

1. A mouthguard comprising: an occlusion unit, a front edge of which is provided with an outer baffle, forming respectively an upper brace and a lower brace on an upper side and a lower side between the outer baffle and the occlusion unit; and a protector which is disposed at a front edge of the outer baffle through a connector; wherein an interior of a groove unit in a center of the protector is provided with a fixing body, and a center of a holding chamber on the fixing body is provided with a bore hole as well as a fan, with the fan being pivoted in the holding chamber of the fixing body.

2. The mouthguard according to claim 1, wherein two sides of the bore hole of the fixing body are provided respectively with a through hole.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0018] For the examiners to better understand the abovementioned and other objects, the technical features, and the advantages of the present invention, the present invention is hereinafter described in details with a preferred embodiment and the accompanying drawings.

[0019] Referring to FIGS. 1 to 5, a mouthguard of the present invention provides for a wearer to bite with the teeth between the maxilla and the mandible. The mouthguard comprises an occlusion unit 1, a protector 14, a fixing body 2, and a fan 3. The occlusion unit 1 is a plate in a thickness, and two sides of the occlusion unit 1 are provided respectively with plural projections 11, in order to provide for skid proofing of biting by a wearer. A front edge of the occlusion unit 1 is provided with an outer baffle 12, forming respectively an upper brace and a lower brace on the upper side and the lower side between the outer baffle 12 and the occlusion unit 1, for biting by the wearer. In addition, an inner edge of the mouthguard is provided with an inner baffle 13. Through the disposition of the inner baffle 13 and the outer baffle 12, the wearer is able to bite more stably.

[0020] The protector 14 is disposed at the front edge of the outer baffle 12 through a connector 15. The protector 14 is in an arc shape, and a gap is formed between the protector 14 and the outer baffle 12 through the provision of the connector 15. When the wearer bites the mouthguard of the present invention, as the lips are disposed in the gap, they can be protected. On the other hand, an exhaling opening 16 is transfixed between the protector 14 and the occlusion unit 1 to provide breathing for the wearer. In addition, an outer edge of the protector 14 is provided with a groove unit 17; more specifically, the groove unit 17 is a round notch and is interconnected with the exhaling opening 16.

[0021] The fixing body 2 is emplaced in the groove unit 17 of the protector 14. The fixing body 2 is provided with a holding chamber 21, and a center of the holding chamber 21 is provided with a bore hole 22. Furthermore, two sides of the bore hole 22 are provided respectively with a through hole 23 which are interconnected with the exhalation opening 16.

[0022] The fan 3 is emplaced in the holding chamber 21 of the fixing body 2 and is pivoted on the fixing body 2 through a fixing element 4, so that the fan 3 can rotate in the fixing body 2. More specifically, the fixing element 4 penetrates the bore hole 22 of the fixing body 2 from the occlusion unit 1 toward the protector 14, and is then pivoted with the fan 3, thereby achieving the abovementioned object.

[0023] When the wearer bites on the mouthguard, he or she can inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth mandatorily to carry out a respiratory training. When the wearer exhales, air is exhaled from the exhalation opening 16 and passes through the through holes 23 to drive the fan 3 to rotate. As the fan 3 will cause the wearer hard to inhale, it can force the wearer to inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouse for breathing, thereby increasing the vita capacity.
