Abstract
The invention is a device, system and method of use for cooling the temperature in an interior space without the need for a power source or moving parts.
Claims
1. A cooling device, consisting of a funnel unit comprising an outer surface, an inner surface, a small opening and a large opening, wherein the large opening faces downward and the small opening faces upward and the funnel unit is adhered to a surface.
2. The cooling device of claim 1, further comprising one or more high heat capacitance units attached to the inside face of the funnel unit near the large opening.
3. The cooling device of claim 2, wherein the funnel unit is bottle-shaped.
4. The cooling device of claim 1, wherein the funnel unit is comprised of a foldable material and can be folded flat or opened into a funnel shape.
5. The cooling device of claim 1, further comprising a plurality of ridges raised on the inner surface running from the large opening to the small opening.
6. The cooling device of claim 5, wherein the ridges are arranged to be further apart at the large opening than at the small opening.
7. The cooling device of claim 1, further comprising a plurality of beads patterned on the inner surface.
9. The cooling device of claim 7, wherein the beads are made of a high capacitance material.
10. The cooling device of claim 5, further comprising a plurality of beads on the inner surface running alongside each ridge.
11. An air cooling system, wherein one or more cooling units of claim 1 are adhered to the inner surface of a shell, the shell is open at the top and bottom and is adhered to a wall such that the plurality of funnel units are arranged partially or completely within a shell.
12. The cooling system of claim 11, wherein the outer surface of the shell is covered in dark material.
13. The cooling system of claim 11, comprising a plurality of funnel units such funnel units arranged in a staggered pattern.
14. The cooling system of claim 13, wherein the staggered pattern is a stairstep pattern.
15. The cooling system of claim 11, wherein the funnel units and shells are foldable.
16. A method of cooling a room using the cooling system of claim 11, wherein the one or more funnel units are each adhered to the inner surface of the shell, and each such funnel unit continuously draws warm room air through the large opening, cools such air inside the funnel unit, then exhausts cooled air through the small opening.
