Abstract
A luminescent toilet seat assembly for rendering a toilet visible at night includes a toilet seat that is hingedly mountable to a toilet. The toilet seat is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for a user sitting on the toilet seat. The toilet seat is comprised of a luminescent material such that the toilet seat is visible at night. A toilet lid is hingedly coupled to the toilet seat and the toilet lid is comprised of a luminescent material. Thus, the toilet lid is visible in at night. Additionally, the toilet lid is comprised of a resiliently compressible material.
Claims
1. A luminescent toilet seat assembly being configured to render a toilet visible in a darkened environment, said assembly comprising: a toilet seat being hingedly mountable to a toilet, said toilet seat being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said toilet seat is configured to enhance comfort for a user sitting on said toilet seat, said toilet seat being comprised of a luminescent material wherein said toilet seat is configured to be visible at night; and a toilet lid being hingedly coupled to said toilet seat, said toilet lid being comprised of a luminescent material wherein said toilet lid is configured to be visible in at night, said toilet lid being comprised of a resiliently compressible material.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said toilet seat has a lower surface, an upper surface and a rear edge, said rear edge being hingedly coupled to a bowl of a toilet, said lower surface resting on a top of the bowl when said toilet seat is lowered.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said toilet lid has a bottom surface and a back edge, said back edge being hingedly coupled to said rear edge of said toilet seat, said bottom surface resting on said upper surface of said toilet seat when said lid is in a closed position.
4. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said toilet lid has a bottom surface, said bottom surface having a central portion, an outer threshold of said central portion being spaced inwardly from a perimeter edge of said toilet lid, said central portion being comprised of a non luminescent material.
5. A luminescent toilet seat assembly being configured to render a toilet visible in a darkened environment, said assembly comprising: a toilet seat being hingedly mountable to a toilet, said toilet seat being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said toilet seat is configured to enhance comfort for a user sitting on said toilet seat, said toilet seat being comprised of a luminescent material wherein said toilet seat is configured to be visible at night, said toilet seat having a lower surface, an upper surface and a rear edge, said rear edge being hingedly coupled to a bowl of a toilet, said lower surface resting on a top of the bowl when said toilet seat is lowered; and a toilet lid being hingedly coupled to said toilet seat, said toilet lid being comprised of a luminescent material wherein said toilet lid is configured to be visible in at night, said toilet lid being comprised of a resiliently compressible material, said toilet lid having a bottom surface and a back edge, said back edge being hingedly coupled to said rear edge of said toilet seat, said bottom surface resting on said upper surface of said toilet seat when said lid is in a closed position, said bottom surface having a central portion, an outer threshold of said central portion being spaced inwardly from a perimeter edge of said toilet lid, said central portion being comprised of a non luminescent material.
6. A method of rendering a toilet visible at night, the steps of the method comprising: providing a toilet seat being comprised of a luminescent material wherein said toilet seat is configured to be visible at night; mounting said toilet seat to a toilet wherein said toilet seat is configured to render the toilet visible at night; providing a toilet lid being comprised of a luminescent material; and mounting said toilet lid on said toilet seat wherein said toilet lid is configured to render the toilet visible at night.
Description
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)
[0011] The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
[0012]
[0013]
[0014]
[0015]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0017] As best illustrated in
[0018] A toilet lid 24 is provided and the toilet lid 24 is hingedly coupled to the toilet seat 12. The toilet lid 24 is comprised of a luminescent material thereby facilitating the toilet lid 24 to be visible in at night. The toilet lid 24 is comprised of a resiliently compressible material, including by not being limited to, rubber or silicone. The toilet lid 24 has a bottom surface 26 and a back edge 28, and the back edge 28 is hingedly coupled to the rear edge 20 of the toilet seat 12. The bottom surface 26 rests on the upper surface 18 of the toilet seat 12 when the lid is in a closed position. The bottom surface 26 has a central portion 30 and an outer threshold 32 of the central portion 30 is spaced inwardly from a perimeter edge 34 of the toilet lid 24. Additionally, the central portion 30 is comprised of a non luminescent material.
[0019] In use, the toilet seat 12 is attached to the toilet 14 to replace the toilet seat that was previously on the toilet 14. In this way the toilet seat 12 facilitates the toilet 14 to be visible at night without requiring a light source. Thus, a person can use the toilet 14 at night without having to turn on lights and subsequently decrease the quality of sleep for the person. Additionally, the resiliently compressible properties of the toilet seat 12 enhance comfort for the user.
[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0021] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
