Abstract
A cooling headband assembly for cooling a user's head includes a band that is insertable into a headband of a hat. In this way the band is in thermal communication with a user's head when the user wears the hat. A cooling media is integrated into the band. The cooling media is comprised of a thermally conductive material thereby facilitating the cooling media to be cooled when the band is positioned in a refrigerator. In this way the cooling media can cool the user's head when the user wears the hat.
Claims
1. A cooling headband assembly being configured to be integrated into a cap for cooling a user's head, said assembly comprising: a band being insertable into a headband of a hat wherein said band is configured to be in thermal communication with a user's head when the user wears said hat; and a cooling media being integrated into said band, said cooling media being comprised of a thermally conductive material thereby facilitating said cooling media to be cooled when said band is positioned in a refrigerator wherein said cooling media is configured to cool the user's head when the user wears the hat.
2. The assembly according to claim 1, wherein said band is hollow.
3. The assembly according to claim 2, wherein said band is comprised of a resiliently stretchable material wherein said band is configured to accommodate a variety of hat sizes.
4. The assembly according to claim 3, wherein said band is comprised of a fluid impermeable material.
5. The assembly according to claim 2, further comprising said cooling gel being positioned within an interior of said band such that said cooling gel completely fills said band.
6. A cooling headband assembly being configured to be integrated into a cap for cooling a user's head, said assembly comprising: a band being insertable into a headband of a hat wherein said band is configured to be in thermal communication with a user's head when the user wears said hat, said band being hollow, said band being comprised of a resiliently stretchable material wherein said band is configured to accommodate a variety of hat sizes, said band being comprised of a fluid impermeable material; and a cooling media being integrated into said band, said cooling media being comprised of a thermally conductive material thereby facilitating said cooling media to be cooled when said band is positioned in a refrigerator wherein said cooling media is configured to cool the user's head when the user wears the hat, said cooling gel being positioned within an interior of said band such that said cooling gel completely fills said band.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0016] With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
[0017] As best illustrated in
[0018] A cooling media 18 is provided and the cooling media 18 is integrated into the band 12. The cooling media 18 is comprised of a thermally conductive material thereby facilitating the cooling media 18 to be cooled when the band 12 is positioned in a refrigerator. In this way the cooling media 18 can cool the user's head when the user wears the hat 16. The cooling media 18 is positioned within an interior of the band 12 such that the cooling media 18 completely fills the band 12. Additionally, the cooling media 18 may comprise cooling gel, or other similar type of material, that can be repeatedly cooled for multiple uses. Additionally, the cooling media 18 has a high heat capacity resulting from the high latent heat of fusion of water.
[0019] In use, the band 12 is positioned in a refrigerator, a freezer or any other source of refrigerated air, to cool the band 12. The band 12 is inserted into the headband 14 of the hat 16 once the band 12 has been sufficiently cooled. Thus, the band 12 cools the user's head when the user wears the hat 16. In this way the band 12 enhances the user's comfort when the user wears the hat 16 in a hot environment. The band 12 can be repeatedly cooled for multiple uses.
[0020] With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
[0021] Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
