DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the cast removing tool of the present invention comprises a handle 1, a cutting tool 4 and a protection member 5. The handle 1 has a battery 10 received therein. A switch 11 is connected to the outside of the handle 1 and electrically connected to the battery 10. A link 2 is connected to the front end of the handle 1 and a motor 3 is connected to a bent portion of the link 2. The motor 3 has an output shaft 30 which protrudes beyond the bent portion of the link 2. A cable 31 is electrically connected between the motor 3 and the battery 10. The cutting tool 4 is connected to the output shaft 30 of the motor 3. In this embodiment, the cutting tool 4 is a disk saw. The protection member 5 is connected to the bottom of the handle 1 and is a curved member. The protection member 5 extends to be located beneath the cutting tool 4.

[0012] As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, when in use, the protection member 5 is inserted between the patient's limn “A” and the cast “B”, and the cutting tool 4 is activated by operating the switch 11 on the handle 1. The handle 1 is pushed downward and the cutting tool 4 starts to cut the cast “B”. Because the protection member 5 is located between the patient's limn “A” and the cast “B”, so that the cutting tool 4 does not hurt the patient. The present invention has a simple structure and is easily to use. The patient is well protected by the protection member 5.

[0013] While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
