Abstract
A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly of a vehicle has at least one housing structure engaging across a brake disc and/or a brake caliper of the disc brake assembly at least in sections in a mounted state of the brake dust particle filter at the disc brake assembly. The brake dust particle filter is designed to catch particles generated during braking. At least one light source, especially an LED light source, is provided at the brake dust particle filter. A lighting housing part is provided that is to be attached to the housing structure. A vehicle is provided with such a brake dust particle filter provided with a light source.
Claims
1. A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly of a vehicle, wherein the disc brake assembly comprises a brake disc and a brake caliper, the brake dust particle filter comprising: at least one housing structure engaging across the brake disc and/or the brake caliper at least partially in a mounted state of the brake dust particle filter at the disc brake assembly, wherein the brake dust particle filter is configured to catch particles generated during braking; at least one light source.
2. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is selected from the group consisting of an electrical light source, a chemoluminescent light source, a phosphorescent light source, a fluorescent light source, and combinations thereof.
3. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 2, wherein the electrical light source is an LED light source.
4. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one housing structure extends about a predetermined circumferential angle of the brake disc and is configured to adjoin in the mounted state the brake caliper in a circumferential direction of the brake disc.
5. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one housing structure comprises a surface coating.
6. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 5, wherein the surface coating is a colored surface coating selected from the group consisting of a coat of lacquer and a powder coating.
7. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is arranged at the at least one housing structure at an exterior side facing away from the brake disc in the mounted state of the brake dust particle filter.

The brake dust particle filter according to claim 7, wherein the exterior side comprises an end face surface, viewed in an axial direction of the brake disc, and a circumferential wall surface, wherein the at least one light source is arranged at the end face surface; at the circumferential wall surface; or at the end face surface and at the circumferential wall surface.
9. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is selected from the group consisting of a spot light source; an areal light source; a line-shaped light source; and combinations thereof.

The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is an accentuating lighting on a surface of the at least one of the housing structure, wherein the accentuating lighting selected from the group consisting of a circumferential lighting of a geometric element; a logo; a logotype; and combinations thereof.
11. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is an areal light source, wherein the areal light source is an illuminable foil applied onto the at least one housing structure or a lacquered LED or a printed LED.
12. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 11, wherein the illuminable foil is an LED foil.
13. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one housing structure comprises at least one housing aperture, wherein the at least one light source is arranged at an inner side of the at least one housing structure, wherein the inner side is facing the brake disc in the mounted state, wherein the at least one housing aperture is configured to make the at least one light source visible.
14. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, further comprising at least one element of an inductive voltage generating device that, in interaction with a counter element mountable at the brake disc and/or at a wheel rim fixedly coupled to the brake disc, is configured as a voltage supply of the at least one light source.
15. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, further comprising at least one thermoelectric energy converter comprising a voltage output electrically connected to the at least one light source, wherein the thermoelectric energy converter is arranged at an inner side of the at least one housing structure facing the brake disc in the mounted state.
16. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is connected to an electrical connecting element connectable to a vehicle electrical system.
17. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, further comprising at least one electrical energy store electrically connected to the at least one light source.
18. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the at least one light source is a color-adjustable light source.
19. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, wherein the color-adjustable light source is a color-adjustable LED.
20. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, further comprising at least one sensor connected to a data processor configured to evaluate a sensor signal and to control, based on the sensor signal, an operation of the at least one light source according to predetermined criteria.
21. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 20, wherein the sensor is a sensor configured to detect loading of a filter medium arranged in the at least one housing structure, wherein the data processor is configured to perform a color adaptation of the at least one light source that is color-adjustable as a function of a load state of the filter medium.
22. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 1, further comprising a lighting housing part that is separate from the at least one housing structure and is connected exchangeably to the at least one housing structure, wherein the at least one light source is provided at the lighting housing part.
23. The brake dust particle filter according to claim 22, wherein the lighting housing part is connected by at least one quick-connect device to the at least one housing structure, wherein the at least one quick-connect device is a clip connection; a magnetic connection; or a combination thereof

The brake dust particle filter according to claim 22, wherein the at least one housing structure comprises at least one recess, wherein the at least one recess corresponds with a shape and dimensions thereof to a shape and dimensions of the lighting housing part, wherein the lighting housing part is accommodated in the at least one recess.
25. A lighting housing part configured to be connected exchangeably to the brake dust particle filter according to claim 1 by a quick-connect device, wherein the at least one light source is provided on the lighting housing part.

The lighting housing part according to claim 25, wherein the at least one light source is an electrical light source, wherein the lighting housing part further comprises an energy store electrically connected or electrically connectable to the at least one light source, or the lighting housing part further comprises at least one electrical contact element connectable to a corresponding electrical contact counter element provided at the at least one housing structure of the brake dust particle filter.
27. A vehicle comprising: a disc brake assembly comprising a brake disc and a brake caliper; a brake dust particle filter configured to catch particles generated during braking, the brake dust particle filter comprising at least one housing structure engaging across the brake disc and/or the brake caliper at least partially in a mounted state of the brake dust particle filter at the disc brake assembly and further comprising at least one light source.
28. The vehicle according to claim 27, wherein the at least one light source of the brake dust particle filter is configured to be controlled as a function of a vehicle condition parameter.
29. The vehicle according to claim 28, wherein the vehicle control parameter is a braking process, a directional change and/or a speed value, and wherein the at least one light source is configured to be activated upon switching on at least one of a turn signal, a brake actuating switch, a driving light, and a parking light of the vehicle.
