    DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0027] The aforementioned and other objects, characteristics and advantages of the present invention will become apparent with the detailed description of the preferred embodiments and the illustration of related drawings as follows.

[0028] With reference to FIGS. 1 and 2 for a hairpiece of the present invention, the hairpiece is used to adhere a fake-hair bundle to a root position of a real-hair bundle of a user's hair to complete a hair extension, and the hairpiece in accordance with a preferred embodiment comprises: a fixing strip 10, which is a soft strip inwardly foldable towards an inner side 11 of the fixing strip 10; a fake-hair bundle 20 which is composed of a plurality of fake-hair compositions 21, wherein an upper end of the fake-hair bundle 20 is coupled to the fixing strip 10; and a thermosetting adhesive layer 30, pre-combined with an inner side of the fixing strip 10, and folded with the fixing strip 10 altogether and provided for covering and adhering both upper and lower sides of a real-hair bundle 100 quickly (as shown in FIG. 3) to achieve the effect of improving the speed and secured connection of the hair extension. Wherein, the fixing strip 10 is a strip formed by braiding the upper ends of the plurality of fake-hair compositions 21 of the fake-hair bundle 20, and then the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 is pre-combined with the inner side 11 of the fixing strip 10.

[0029] In FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, a hair extension structure of the hairpiece of the present invention provided for adhering a fake-hair bundle to a root position of a real-hair bundle of a user's hair to complete a hair extension by the hairpiece, the hair extension structure in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a fixing strip 10, a fake-hair bundle 20 and a thermosetting adhesive layer 30 of the aforementioned hairpiece, and the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 and the fixing strip 10 of the hairpiece are folded altogether, so that the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 covers both upper and lower sides of the real-hair bundle 100, and then a conventional ultrasonic heater (not shown in the figure) is used to heat the fixing strip 10 and the thermosetting adhesive layer 30, so that after the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 is melted, and then solidified, the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 will be attached onto both upper and lower sides of the real-hair bundle 100, so as to achieve the effect of improving the speed and secured connection of the hair extension.

[0030] The hair extension method of the hairpiece of the present invention is based on the aforementioned hairpiece structure and a hair extension can be achieved by this method which comprises the following steps:

[0031] Step (a): In FIG. 4, a head caliper 40 is used to measure a head circumference of a user in a hair extension range A1 of a row, wherein the head caliper 40 is a soft tape measure, and the head caliper 40 measures the head circumference in a first-row hair extension range A1 from positions approximately 23 cm above both ears of the user and transversally around the back of the user's head; when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is 3540 cm, it means that the user has a large head, so that the hair extension spacing B2 can be larger; when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is 2835 cm, it means that the user has a medium sized head, so that the hair extension spacing B2 can be controlled to be moderate; when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is smaller than 28 cm, it means that the user has a small head, so that the hair extension spacing B2 must be reduced. By the aforementioned measurement of the head circumference, the required hair volume can be estimated in order to apply a suitable amount of hairpieces to the user's head.

[0032] Step (b): A plurality of equal-division marks B1 is marked in the hair extension range of the row based on the head circumference measured in the step (a) by using a calibration of the head caliper. In other words, when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is 3540 cm, each of the equal-division marks B1 has a spacing B2 of 1 cm; when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is 2835 cm, each of the equal-division marks B1 has a spacing B2 of 0.8 cm; when the head circumference in the first-row hair extension range A1 is smaller than 28 cm, each of the equal-division marks B1 has a spacing B2 of 0.6 cm; and the equal-division marks B1 are pigments (such as water-based or oil-based ink) dotted onto the user's scalp in order to pre-set the positions for the hair extension.

[0033] Step (c): In FIG. 2, a real-hair bundle 100 at the spacing B between two adjacent equal-division marks B1 in the hair extension range A1 is grabbed, and combed, and then coupled to a hairpiece, so that the hairpieces of each row have a spacing B2 (as shown in FIG. 6).

[0034] Step (d): In FIGS. 2 and 3, the fixing strip 10 and the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 of the hairpiece are folded altogether, so that the thermosetting adhesive layer 30 covers both upper and lower sides of the real-hair bundle 100, and each hairpiece has an equal-division mark B1.

[0035] Step (e): A heater is used to heat the fixing strip and the thermosetting adhesive layer, so that after the thermosetting adhesive layer is melted, and then solidified, the thermosetting adhesive layer is fixed to the real-hair bundle, wherein the heater is a conventional ultrasonic heater.

[0036] Step (f): In FIG. 5, the steps (b) to (e) are repeated for the plurality of hair extension ranges A2A14 of each row disposed at a spacing below the hair extension range A1 of the row after the hair extension is completed, wherein there are a total of 14 rows in this embodiment, and the hair extension steps are repeated until the hair extension of all these 14 rows is completed. In FIGS. 5 and 6, the equal-division marks B1 in the hair extension range A1A14 of each row and the equal-division marks B1 in the hair extension range A of the row above or below are situated at staggered positions with respect to each other, so that the hairpieces are arranged in a staggered shape and coupled to each real-hair bundle of the user's hair.

[0037] The aforementioned positions for the hair extension include four rows on each of the left and right sides of the user's head, and 14 rows (A1A14) at the back of the user's head. Among the 14 rows at the back of the user's head, the first-row hair extension range A1 preferably has 14 equal-division marks B1, the second-row hair extension range A2 preferably has 13 equal-division marks B1, the third-row hair extension range A3 preferably has 12 equal-division marks B1, and so on and so forth.

[0038] While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.

[0039] In summation of the description above, the hairpiece and its hair extension structure and hair extension method in accordance with the present invention herein enhances the performance than the conventional structure and further complies with the patent application requirements and is submitted to the Patent and Trademark Office for review and granting of the commensurate patent rights.
