Abstract
A personal portable motion sensor 1 has a housing 9, in which there are sensor means, and a frame 13 connected to the housing. Parts of the housing and the frame form clamping parts for releasably clamping the sensor means onto a sportsman's garment. One of the clamping parts 3 is formed by a wall part 7 of the housing and the other clamping part 5 is connected to the frame via a spring 11. The housing is movable relative to the frame between a release position and a clamp position in which the housing is fixed by locking elements with respect to a framework. The housing is hingedly connected to the framework near a first side wall 21 and is provided on one opposite side wall 23 with one of the locking elements 27 which cooperates with the other locking member 29 which forms part of the framework.

2. Motion sensor according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping parts (3, 5) are provided with teeth (17, 18).
3. Motion sensor according to claim 1, characterized in that the clamping parts (3, 5) are provided with rubber clamping surfaces.
4. Motion sensor according to claim 1, characterized in that the frame (13) comprises a closed framework (19) and in the clamping position the housing (9) is within the framework and near a first side wall (21) the housing is pivotably connected to the framework and at an opposite second side wall (23) the housing is provided with a locking element (27) which cooperates with a further locking element (29) forming part of the framework, which two locking elements are part of the fixing means (15).
5. Motion sensor according to claim 4, characterized in that lateral parts (31, 32) of the framework (19) extending along both of the other side walls (25, 26) of the housing (9) are provided with hinge openings (33) in which hinge pins (35) are present, which hinge pins are connected to the two other side walls (25, 26) of the housing, whereby at least one of the hinge pins (35) can be pressed and thereby pushed out of the corresponding hinge opening (33) to take the housing (9) from the framework (19).
6. Motion sensor according to claim 4, characterized in that lateral parts (31, 32) of the framework (19) extending along both of the other side walls (25, 26) of the housing (9) are of flexible material and can be pushed towards each other, wherein a bridge part (37) of the framework extending along the second side wall (23) of the housing is also of bendable material and bends outwardly so that the locking elements (27, 29) come apart.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0013] A personal portable motion sensor 1 for monitoring the position and/or movement of a sportsman has a housing 9, in which there are sensor means, and a frame 13 connected to the housing which is (partly) around the housing. Parts of the housing and frame form coupling means for coupling the sensor means with the user (sportsman) of the motion sensor.
[0014] The coupling means are provided with clamping means for releasably clamping the sensor means on a sportsman's garment. These clamping means have two cooperating clamping parts 3 and 5 provided with rubber teeth 17 and 18. A first of the clamping parts 3 is formed by a wall part 7 of the housing 9 and the other second clamping part 5 is connected via a spring 11 to the frame 13. The housing 9 is movable with respect to the frame 13 between a release position, in which the first clamping part 3 is located at a distance from the second clamping part 5, and a clamping position in which the two clamping parts 3 and 5 are pushed towards each other under spring force by the spring 11. In this clamping position, the housing 9 is fixed by fixing means 15 relative to the frame 13.
[0015] The frame 13 has a closed framework 19. In the clamping position the housing 9 is present within this closed framework. Near a first side wall 21 the housing is hingedly connected to the framework and on an opposite second side wall 23 the housing is provided with a locking element 27. This locking element cooperates with a further locking element 29 which forms part of the framework. Both locking elements form the fixing means 15.
[0016] The frame 19 further has two lateral parts 31 and 32 extending along the two other side walls 25 and 26 of the housing 9. These lateral parts are provided with hinge openings 33 in which there are hinge pins 35. These hinge pins are connected to both other side walls 25 and 26 of the housing. In order to take the housing 9 out of the frame 19, one of these hinge pins 35 can be pressed so that it gets out of the corresponding hinge opening 33.
[0017] The two locking elements 27 and 29 can be made loose from each other by pressing the lateral parts 31 and 32 of the framework 19 in the direction of arrows A to each other. As a result a bridge part 37 of the framework, which extends along the second side wall of the housing and on which the locking element 29 is located, bends outwardly (arrow B). Due to this the locking element gets loose from the other locking element 27.
