Abstract
A cooktop (1) as claimed in the present invention comprises a main body (2) having a top surface (2a) and a bottom surface (2b); at least one cooking area (3) configured to accommodate a heating element (4) proximate to the top surface (2a); a suction opening (5) formed on the top surface (2a); suction means (14) in fluid communication with the suction opening (5) and configured to draw in cooking fumes; a support member (6) connected to the main body (2); weight sensing means (9) located between the support element (6) and the main body (2) for sensing the weight of objects to be weighed; the support element (6) at least partially overlaps the suction means (14).
Claims
1. A cooktop comprising: a main body having a top surface and a bottom surface; at least one cooking area configured to accommodate a heating element proximate to said top surface; a suction opening; suction means in fluid communication with said suction opening and configured to draw in cooking fumes; a support element connected to said main body; weight sensing means located between said support element and said main body for sensing the weight of objects to be weighed; said support element at least partially overlaps said suction means; in which said suction means comprise a suction duct in fluid communication with said opening; and a housing in fluid communication with said duct and configured to receive filters for said cooking fumes, said weight sensing means being located at said duct and/or said housing; wherein: the suction opening is formed on said top surface and said suction opening is coplanar with the housing, and the support element is superimposed to the suction opening and to the housing.
2. A cooktop as claimed in claim 1, wherein said weight sensing means comprise at least one, preferably two and more preferably four load cells.
3. A cooktop as claimed in claim 2, wherein said support element comprises a panel, said load cells being arranged along a perimeter of said panel.
4. A cooktop as claimed in claim 3, characterized in that it comprises a grate formed on said panel for the passage of cooking fumes.
5. A cooktop as claimed in claim 3, wherein said panel has a top surface that is substantially coplanar with the top surface of the main body.
6. A cooktop as claimed in claim 3, wherein said panel has a plurality of support areas each located at a respective load cell.
7. A cooktop as claimed in claim 6, wherein each support area comprises a central portion that contacts its respective load cell and a peripheral portion surrounding said central portion, each support area having a respective protrusion projecting out of said panel and located at said peripheral portion.
8. A cooktop as claimed in claim 7, wherein said main body has a plurality of seats each located at a respective load cell and surrounding said load cell, each seat being configured to receive a respective protrusion of a respective support area to define a labyrinth seal surrounding said load cell.
9. A cooktop as claimed claim 6, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of interface elements attached to said panel, each support area being defined on a respective interface element.
10. A cooktop as claimed claim 6, wherein said support areas are directly formed on said panel.
