DETAILED DESCRIPTION of the INVENTION
[0046] The Food and Beverage Carrier is a unit that is primarily designed for carrying fast food and Beverages. It should be noted that the unit is not limited to this use, as it could also function to carry bottled drinks, small items, personal items or the like and it should be noted that this is not an exhaustive list. The unit is secure and accessed by either a zipper opening, hook and loop opening, lid with closure, screw on top or any apparatus which functions to securely close or open the unit.
[0047] The interior material of the unit is constructed using either a rigid, flexible, sturdy plastic, or silicone. Metalized, non-metalized or thermal as well as any material which is useful when used in insulation configurations and the desired effect to maintain temperatures. Using any material where the desired effect is to secure, and the desired outcome is to keep food and beverages in safely and in place within the unit.
[0048] The unit is available in food grade BPA free plastic both translucent and opaque, with silicone and stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy hinges and lid closures. Fabric, canvas or equivalent material, paper, cardboard, or an equivalent weighted paper, which is used in food handling preparation and equivalent materials. Cardboard or an equivalent used in food preparation. The unit is slightly pliable to sturdy, translucent plastic. It is relatively flexible, but sturdy enough to hold all items within, safely and conveniently. It can also be constructed as well in a slightly opaque plastic. Opaque will be useful (at some point) for applique applications.
[0049] As stated, the plastic configuration list is not exhaustive as it could be constructed using other mediums not listed up to and including, hybrid materials, paper, canvas, fabric, silicone, cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation. The paper, canvas and cardboard versions are collapsible. It is also designed with any materials and configurations, that could support the Food and Beverage Carriers capabilities. The unit contains no sharp edges and is constructed in insulated and non-insulated.
[0050] The shape of the unit is oval, but it is not limited to this shape configuration, as it could also be constructed in the shape of a circle, a square, triangle, and rectangle. A hybrid shape such as oval-square, circle-square or any shape not mentioned. It stands 14 inches tall and nine inches across. It can be designed to be slightly taller, shorter or wider depending upon final configuration. These measurements could be altered. The unit is designed to be washed by hand, but, can also be designed to work in the dishwasher or similar instruments.
[0051] The device is a two part unit consisting of a lid and the base. The base could also be referred to as container or body. The opening to the base will be referred to as the mouth. The units 14 inches is divided between both the base and lid. The lid will contain several parts. The lid itself, the handle, the lid to base attachment or the hinge mechanism, the push front locking mechanism and storage space for the Removable Food Separation Panels and Oval Silicone Ring.
[0052] The exterior unit consist of lid which utilizes, a screw on top, a latch, a push button opening or the like which includes any apparatus that would be used to close, open and secure the lid to the body of the unit. It contains hinge mechanisms or any apparatus that would be used to connect the lid to the body of the unit.
[0053] The opening of the lid which separates the lid from the body, will expose the inner chamber of the body which is used to house both the food and beverages in a separate but equal space. The lid can be attached to the base by using exposed stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy hinge with corresponding alloy screws. This configuration is not limited to an exposed hinge and screws, as it can also be affixed or embedded within the plastic base. Also, it should be noted that using stainless steel as the material for the hinge and screws is not limited to just this material, the hinge apparatus could be made from plastic as well or any material not mentioned.
[0054] To open the unit, there is a Push Front Locking Mechanism, that when pressed, the lid opens from south to north or from down to up. On the back, there is a stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy hinge , which will connect the lid to the base. It could also be constructed to contain two hinges. The screws are formed out of the same stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy as the hinges. The Push Front Locking Mechanism can also be placed on either side of the unit, not only opening it from south to north, but also, opening it from east to north in direction. Note, although metal alloy are the preferred method for attaching the hinge to the base and lid, other materials that possess the right material make up, could be used as a hinge and corresponding screws.
[0055] The hinges are on the opposite side facing the position of the Push Front Locking Mechanism. The advantage to using a Push Front Locking Mechanism to open the device, is ease of use, and requiring only one hand to operate the opening and closing of the lid. This list is not exhaustive and the unit is not limited to opening by use a Push Front Locking Mechanism, but can also open by screw top, two side locking clasp, locking clasp and hinge combination, or pop top.
[0056] Again, this list is not exhaustive and may utilize other features and mechanism to open and attach the lid combinations that are not covered. The lid will contain several parts. The lid itself, the handle, the lid to base attachment or the hinge mechanism, the push front locking mechanism and storage space for the Removable Food Separation Panels and Oval Silicone Ring.
[0057] The unit consist of a handle, which is either affixed with hinges and screws or it is flushed within the lid. The lid attachment is not limited to this list, as it is possible to utilize any mechanism that would secure the handle to the lid. Under the lid there is a silicone ring which assist in insulating the unit. It can be designed without it as well.
[0058] The lid, is constructed with a slightly raised fixed handle that is all one part. The handle is carved with a space between the handle and lid. By creating a lid that is all one unit in design, it will ensure that the handle will not break or come apart. The top of the handle consist of a gritty textured design that will be useful in gripping the lid. It can also be designed with a smooth handle. The handle can also be designed in a collapsible formation, where the handle will be affixed using stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy components to connect the handle to the lid. Creating a unit with a collapsible handle would also allow the handle to nest in the curvature of the lid. The metal components will either be embedded into the lid or visible.
[0059] The underside of the lid, will contain a lid covering that is molded as one unit under the lid. Located directly beneath the lid covering, is storage space or slot to house the removable Food Separation Panels. The lid could also be designed with an additional storage space that can house a small wallet keys, cell phone or any small items and even for additional food items. This space could be designed within the lid, on the base, underneath the unit, or inside or outside the unit.
[0060] By adding a food grade silicone ring under the lid, it will allow extra insulated support, add protection and allow the lid to flush and create a secure enclosure around the mouth or opening of the body of the unit.
[0061] The beginning or opening of the interior or body will be referred to as the mouth or opening. The inside or interior of the unit can be accessed by placing the food and beverages through the opening.
[0062] The inside of the unit can hold beverages ranging from small to large and food items together, due to the dedicated space (on the inside), which has been divided into two sections, one to house the food and the other portion of the space, to house beverages. Items can now be housed and carried together making transportation effortless.
[0063] Carrying and transportation is achieved as well as separation of items within the inside of the unit, by use of a Food Separation Panels and Molded Arms, which work together to successfully by placing a separation or space between the food and drink allowing them to be housed together, but independently. This is achieved by panel separation also known as Food Separation Panels. The panel(s) create separate housing, which will prevent either one from coming in contact with the other, offering a new level of convenience in food transport.
[0064] The interior housing, is designed with the configuration of drinks at the bottom with a Removable Food Separation Panel in between, with food resting on top of the panel. Creating designated areas for each. This configuration is food over beverage. However, the unit can also be designed to house the foods and drinks in various other configurations. Foods can be placed on top of drinks, foods can be placed on the bottom with drinks resting above. Foods and drinks can be placed side by side. Food can be placed in front of drinks and foods can be placed behind drinks. The configurations are possible due to the placement of the panels ether above, in the middle, behind or between creating a separation of food and drinks.
[0065] The function of the Food and Beverage Carrier, is to safely carry food and drinks together. The components that are involved are the Food Separation Panels either removable, stationary, or affixed and pull tabs. Molded arms that are used to hold the panels in place. Cup holders located at the bottom of the unit and Beverage Ring Holder Pads, and food bands which work to secure the drinks within the unit. These key elements are essential to the unit and ensures the items within are secure for transports.
[0066] To place the food and beverage in a food on top and drinks on bottom configuration, or drinks on top and food on bottom configuration, a food separation panel is placed between the items, with the food on top and the drinks placed through the bands and onto the cup holders.
[0067] To place the food and beverages in a side by side configuration. The food and drinks are separated by a Food Separation Panel, with the drinks placed through bands onto the cup holders. The Food Separation under this configuration is removable, but can also be affixed or stationary to the unit. To insert the removable panel, there is a groove at the bottom near the or on top of the Cup Holders, where the panel would fit. The panel would fit in the groves, it is held in place by the Food Separation Panel Snaps. There is also a Thumb Finger Groove for gripping the panel for ease of removal. The device could also be designed to include an Additional Food Separation Panel and Molded Arms. The addition of a Food Separation Panel and molded arms, above the food and drinks, would offer additional food storage or item storage space.
[0068] To place the either item in the front of the other, a Food Separation Panel is placed between, with the drinks placed through bands and onto cup holders.
[0069] The Food Separation Panels are constructed in both an insulated material and in a non-insulated material. These would apply for the removable, stationary and fixed panels.
[0070] There are emblems and words on each side, one indicating the side for warmhot purposed for the placement of foods and the emblems and words indicating cold purposed for the side next to the drinks. The insulated panel which is made up of the plastic and silicone components. It has insulation properties and is marked by the words and emblems of warm-hot and with a smoke symbol on the side which would face the food. On the side facing the beverages, there is the word cold with a cold symbol, these words and emblems appear on the silicone. Both the plastic and insulated panels are constructed with a sturdy, yet pliable plastic. Both fit snuggly on the Molded Arms and the panels can be removed by pulling the Pull Tabs which are located on both sides of the panels. By pulling the tabs in an upward motion, the panels are able to be removed.
[0071] To use, the panels would be placed on one of two sets of Molded Arms which total 16 (sixteen) in quantity; within the dedicated areas at a width of of an inch. The width measurements are not exhaustive, as they could be wider or shorter than the suggested measurements and the height measurement at for the arms, are not limited to these measurements as they could be raised or lowered. The panels would fit snugly onto the arms, which will serve to hold the food above the drinks, creating a separate and enclosed space to house the food items and drinks separately.
[0072] Under its configuration, the 16 (sixteen) arms are placed within the dedicated areas. There are 8 (eight) arms which are 9 (nine) inches from the bottom, and 8 (eight) arms located 7 (seven) inches from the bottom. The unit could also be designed with elongated bars instead of the arms. This would remove the need for multiple arms within the unit to hold the panels. The bars and arms would be constructed in out of the same material as the unit, or, they could be constructed in either a food grade silicone which would carry the same size values in length, as the molded arms which are made of plastic. By making them out of silicone, it allows for another option for securing and holding the Food Separation Panels, and adds more flexibility. Or, they could contain a combination of both. Again, the height, placement of arms materials used are not exhaustive, and can be improvised upon.
[0073] Other materials could be used, as long as they were food grade, they could also be utilized in the formation of the arms and bars. Whether a paired or elongated design concept, the arms and or bars would work, because their function is to hold the Food Separation Panel in place, allowing for beverages to be placed at the bottom, and food above securely. In the design concept where the panel is placed vertically, the arms and bars, holds the Additional Food Separation Panel in place to allow for storage of food and or additional food or other items.
[0074] Another concept is to design The Food and Beverage Carrier using a Beverage Separation Panel which is removable or affixed to the base with two or more cup holders on either side and a Food Separation Panel on top. This panel combination, separates the individual beverages and is useful in helping to keep the drinks from moving around during transit and will keep the drinks stable as well. These panels also creates individual containers or individual spaces to house the drinks with cup holders, which can be utilized and applied throughout the units various configurations and designs. Having individual spaces, could also be useful for additional storage space.
[0075] It would have the words and emblems indicating the warm-hot side and cold. It would be affixed so, the warm hot side would be up and the cold side down. With the affixed version, it would contain magnets which would help secure the panel to the molded arms when in use, and secure the panel to the wall of the unit, when not in use.
[0076] There is a magnet located near the mouth which would lock the panel into place and secure it near the Mouth of the unit, with the second magnet embedded within the Food Separation Panel and an additional magnet embedded within the molded arms. There is also a Pull Tab located on the panel to raise and lower the panel onto the molded arms.
[0077] Also, the affixed panel would also be available, as an insulated panel, which would contain the inner pliable yet sturdy BPA free food grade plastic core, with a food grade silicone covering. With the use of magnets to secure the removable and affixed Food Separation Panels, it would remove the need for a storage area underneath the lid for the panels. Also, it would require only one set of Molded Arms or bars to be employed in holding the Food Separation Panels. Pull tabs would also be included on the panels.
[0078] With the affixed panel version, the panel would contain the emblems and words indicating warmhot for food and cold for drink. The words and emblems indicating the cold side are facing downward in the direction of the drinks and the warm-hot side is facing upwards indicating the direction of food placement.
[0079] Just like with the removable insulated panel, with the affixed version, the insulation would assist in keeping food warm hot and beverages cool, and covered with either a metallic, metalized, multi insulation, or opaque insulated material. The width of the non-insulated panel for either fixed or removable, is approximately but not limited to of inch. The width of the insulated panel is approximately but not limited to of an inch in thickness.
[0080] Note, the insulation for the panels and the unit, could either be the plastic inner core, with the silicone covering or, it could be designed without a plastic inner core. It could also be constructed with the plastic inner core with the metallic or metalized or opaque material that is commonly used for its insulation properties and abilities. It could also be designed with any additional material combinations that would make it useful and functional as an insulated unit.
[0081] The insulation properties and designs would apply not only to the Food Separation Panels, but also to the unit designed with a plastic pliable, sturdy, harden or rigid food grade exterior. The unit designed with a food grade silicone exterior. The unit designed with a Canvas exterior.
[0082] The insulation properties apply to any version of the Food and Beverage Carrier listed within this document whether its relates to or pertains to the exterior only, the interior only, or a combination, where the exterior is made of plastic, paper, cardboard or canvas, but the interior needs to function as insulated.
[0083] Note, the insulation for the Food Separation Panels and the unit, could be made of a plastic inner core, with the silicone covering.
[0084] Or, the panel could be constructed following the standards of creating an insulated product or item. The panel and or the interior of the units are constructed with a metallic, metalized or opaque material that is commonly used in conjunction with the construction of insulation products or items that are useful, beneficial and designed to carry out the function of maintaining the temperature of food and drink items.
[0085] The measurement for the unit is 14 inches with the lower portion measuring up to nine inches, with the remaining 5 (five) inches, divided between dedicated space for food and Lid and storage space. Again, these height measurements are not limited to these sizes, but may stand taller or shorter depending upon the final configuration. Again, divided space configuration is not limited to giving the upper portion of the unit to just 5 (five) inches as it could be given more or less depending on additional criteria not mention.
[0086] There are also Straw Holders and Rings coincides with the configuration of the unit. The straws are suspended partially by rings which are located just beneath the Food Separation Panel. These rings can sit on either side of the unit, either in the front, back or left or right of the device. There is a concaved area for the straws, followed by a Straw Well. All of the components work together to offer support for the straws. The unit can also be designed where the straws could sit in a free standing straw holder. The straws would be dropped into the holders, which are located between the Cup Holders at the bottom of the unit. These holders can either be affixed or removable. The holders coincides with the configuration of the unit. For the (1) one cup unit (1) one straw holder, (2) two cup unit, two straw holder.
[0087] It should be noted, that this is not an exhaustive list and that the carrier could be configured to three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, or 12 cup sizes, and even higher sizes are possible. The Straw Holder and Rings could also run horizontally with the ring holder and straw wells above the drinks.
[0088] The Straw Holder Rings could also be designed to sit between the Cup Holders, or designed in a free standing well which can either be affixed or removable between the beverages.
[0089] At the bottom, there is a Cup Holder section where the drinks will sit. Their shape is round or a hybrid design of square and circle. Other shape configurations could also be utilized. To make the holders stable enough to hold the drinks, the total height from base to top of holder, is between two to five inches. The Cup Holders have a slightly indented or concaved center. The holders are made of food grade silicone, and the indented center is comprised of a soft pliable metal alloy, covered with food grade silicone, allowing for the easy of removal or insertion of beverages, while still maintaining structural integrity and a snug fit.
[0090] This design is not limited to interior of the Cup Holders (112) being concaved (117), but can also be designed with arms that contain a pliable yet sturdy metal alloy inner core, with a food grade silicone coating. The arms are bendable downward with a rounded edge, which will allow for easy removal or insertion of beverages and the width will accommodate majority beverage sizes. The Cup Holders could also be designed without an inner metal core, both the holders and the arms can be designed with a sturdier plastic or equivalent material that has the capabilities of bending, while still maintaining its' shape when not engaged.
[0091] With the slight indention of the holders, the absence of an inner metal core or pliable soft metal alloy with a covered silicone, would still create a tight fit around the lower portion of the drinks.
[0092] One optional design for the holders is to have one slightly larger to accommodate the option of carrying a drink that may be a different size, further exploring the possibilities of carrying items that were not mentioned previously.
[0093] The unit is designed with an optional removable Beverage Ring Holder Pad (113). With the Beverage Ring Holder Pad (113) method, the holder would still contain the indented structure, but with the addition of the Beverage Ring Holder Pad (113), it will assist the holders in keeping the drink secure and stable during transport. They holders are designed with a slightly raised area up to 1 (one) inch in height or the height can be inverted 1 (one) inch. This height will allow extra support.
[0094] The optional groves would allow the inverted height design to nest within the holders. The core of the Beverage Ring Holder Pad, which is the opening where the drinks would be placed, is made of a soft, pliable stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy material and it is covered with a food grade silicone. It is removable which would allow for easy cleaning after each use, and make it more accessible to the Cup Holders if needed.
[0095] The pad is covered in silicone, and is attached to the sides of the holder, by use of magnets that are placed on the edges of the exterior of the Cup Holders and embedded within the pad. The unit could also be designed with a Ring Cup Holder Pad made entirely out of a soft, pliable stainlessness steel core and covered with a food grade silicone. The magnets would still be located within the exterior of the Cup Holders. With this method, metal could be used throughout the pad making its stability and sturdiness vital in helping to secure the drinks during transport.
[0096] Another option is to design the pad with just a rim of soft, pliable stainless steel or equivalent alloy material and use of magnets that are placed along the exterior of the holders. Optional addition of a metal core is available within the ring holder.
[0097] Allowing for the pad. Having just a rim of metal located within the pad, would assist in the stability factor for drink and food transportation. Due to the nature of silicone, the pad could even be designed without magnets as it is capable or resting securely on its own upon the Cup Holders.
[0098] Keeping the consideration of a soft metal alloy or equivalent inner core, as an option for stability of the drinks.
[0099] The Beverage Ring Cup Holder Pad, is designed as removable. The design of the Beverage Ring Cup Holder Pad, is flexible enough to fit most standard beverages and has the capabilities of holding them securely in place during transport. However, it can also be affixed which would remove the need for embedding the magnets within the exterior of the Cup Holders.
[0100] Another option, is to have the inner chamber where the beverages are housed, to have a slightly concaved walls. This would assist in helping to keep the drinks stable.
[0101] The next version of the Food and Beverage Carrier, is a unit made from a light to medium weighted paper equivalent to what used in food handling and preparation, which would be strong enough to support beverages and food. This application is designed as takeout carriers for fast food restaurants. Like with the previous design which is made with food grade BPA free plastic, the paper design also contains dedicated spaces for beverages and food an Affixed Food Separation Panel, Pull Tabs, Molded Arms, Cup Holders and a Cardboard Insert at the bottom. The unit could also be designed with a removable or stationary Food Separation Panel.
[0102] The bottom of the unit is slightly wider and decreases slightly in width, creating a tapered design at the top of the bag. The handle is carved out of the bag itself and there is a thicker paper used to reinforce the opening creating a handle along with a light plastic coating. There is an Affixed Food Separation Panel, which contains a light plastic film on both sides of the panel. There are one set of Molded Arms which are designed using a heavy weighted paper. The Molded Arms could also be designed using cardboard or an equivalent weighted material. Or an Elongated Bar could also be substituted in place of the arms.
[0103] The Affixed Food Separation Panel which is fixed to the side of the unit, drops down on the Molded Arms and is held there using the weight of the food only. No magnets are necessary with the paper design. There is a Straw Holder and Rings which corresponds with the number of Cup Holders. The Cup Holders contain a concaved section which will secure the drinks and prevent them from moving around. The inside of the holders contains a light plastic coating, in the event the drinks were to leak during transport. Having the light plastic coating would not compromise the structural integrity of the unit and adds another level of protection for the unit.
[0104] There is also a Beverage Mounting Panel, which is located just below the Affixed Food Separation Panel. It is affixed to the sides of the unit. It can also be affixed on one side and the other side, or removable. The panel will rest on a set of Molded Arms or a single bar. The Molded Arms can either be constructed as four arms or two bars. In the center of the Beverage Mounting Panel, is a Plastic Ring Beverage Holder, which helps to support the drinks in transport. The center ring which is made plastic is approximately length to one inch in length. The Inner Core of the Beverage Mounting Panel, is made of a sturdy plastic, which runs the length of the panel. This inner core is one unit and it is overlaid with cardboard. The Beverage Mounting Panel and plastic Beverage Ring Holder, could also be constructed without a Plastic Beverage Ring Holder, but could be constructed by using a heavier weighted paper or cardboard which is used in food handling and preparation. The length of the ring holder is not limited the size measurement, as it could run shorter or longer depending upon final configuration.
[0105] Not only could the inner core that sits in between the Beverage Mounting Panel be constructed using a heavier weighted paper or cardboard, but the Plastic Ring Beverage Holder could also be constructed using a heavier weighted paper or cardboard, making the Beverage Mounting and Plastic Beverage Ring Holder essentially constructed using a heavier weighted paper as opposed to two separate mediums to achieve the same purpose of mounting the drinks and securing them.
[0106] There is a Cup Holder which contains a slightly concaved center to help accommodate drinks of various sizes. The center of the Cup Holder is concaved and contains a light plastic coating, which would help protect the structural integrity of the unit in the event of moisture. The Cup Holders along with the Beverage Mounting Panel and Plastic Beverage Ring Holder will assist in keeping the drinks stable during transport. The unit could also be designed with a Drink Band and Drink Band Slots instead of the Beverage Mounting Panel and Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. Note, if the Beverage Mounting Panel and Food Separation Panel is stationary to the unit that would eliminate the need for Molded Arms.
[0107] The Cup Holders could also be designed without the concaved element. At the very bottom of the device, between the Cup Holder and bottom of the unit, there is a cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation insert, which will give added stability to the unit. The construction of the paper version of the unit is collapsible and folds on the side, which makes for easy storage. Note that this unit could be designed without the plastic coating on the insert or the holders.
[0108] To open the bag, the front panel would drop down, to allow easy placement of food and drinks. To close, the front panel would be raised and a front tab which runs through the handles, would be used to close the unit. There is approximately one inch material from handle to end of top of the bag, which would be used to roll down the top.
[0109] The unit can also be constructed as one solid unit with no frontal opening, but items would be placed by utilizing entry through the top of the bag. First, drinks would be placed through the Beverage Mounting Panel and through the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder and then onto the Cup Holders. The Cup Holders contain a concaved center and light plastic coating.
[0110] The lowering of the affixed Food Separation Panel, onto the Molded Arms would now allow the placement of food items, and with the Cardboard Insert located at the bottom of the bag, the unit is stable which would allow for easy transport of drinks an food items in one unit. The unit would maintain the tapered design and handle configuration, but could also be designed with the standard bag opening and design. Note, although the unit is designed with an affixed Food Separation Panel, it could also be designed with a stationary or removable panel and Molded Arms.
[0111] Although it is designed with paper, it is not limited to the previous ways of opening or closing the bag, As it could also open from the sides. The unit can also be designed, with an upper portion of space dedicated to cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation and the lower portion would house a plastic holding cup for the drinks. Another configuration that would utilize paper or cardboard, is to place the food in a separate stand-alone enclosed container, where the food would be placed in a light to medium weighted paper or equivalent material with the shape of this container as a box or rectangle or hybrid design. The top would be tapered, with a handle that contains a thicker paper used to reinforce the handle. There is a light plastic coating on the handle for reinforcement. The unit would contain a Cardboard Insert, followed by the Beverage Mounting Panel with Plastic Beverage Ring Holder for drink insertion. The Plastic Beverage Ring Holder could also be designed using a thicker paper or cardboard.
[0112] By eliminating the plastic and an inner core, as a component, the entire mounting unit which includes The Beverage Mounting Panel, the inner core and Plastic Beverage Mounting Ring Holder, could be constructed out of one thick piece using the heavier weighted paper or cardboard, making the housing into not only one unit, but offering a biodegradable feature to the unit.
[0113] The Mounting Panel and Holder, are constructed at the bottom of the top portion, which houses the food. A Cardboard insert (130) would rest on top of the Mounting Panel and holder, making it possibly for food and or storage items to be stored within the upper portion or section of the unit. A pocket could be included within the interior for added storage as well. To make the unit stable, a clear cup holder would be attached to the lower portion of the unit. It would sit in the plastic band of the Beverage Mounting Panel. The lower portion which would be wider, would create stability for the product, reducing top heaviness.
[0114] The paper or cardboard design unit, comes in one, (1) two (2), four (4) and eight (8) cup holder designs, but it is not limited these size configurations as it is possible to offer them in several sizes not listed. Although the design is in paper, it still acts like the unit constructed with BPA free food grade plastic with silicone and alloy components by being a unit designed to hold food and drinks in one carrier.
[0115] Another concept of the Food and Beverage Carrier, which utilizes cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation is to design the unit in the shape of a square with an open concept which means, there are no enclosures. It is designed with a back panel, and two chambers. One designated area for drinks and the other designated area for food. There is a Stationary Food Separation Panel located between the Designated Area for Beverage (126) and the Designated Area for Food.
[0116] A Beverage Separation Panel could also be used instead of the Food Separation Panel. The handle is cut out of the Back Panel and it has a reinforced opening in the handle.
The handle can also run front to back or from side to side.
Within the designated drink area, contains Cup Holders. It contains a concaved interior and a Beverage Ring Holder Pad which will assist in keeping the drinks stable during transport.
[0117] The cup holder which is constructed out of the same cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation contains a light plastic coating to help maintain the structural integrity of the unit in the event of moisture. This coating is optional and the unit can be designed without it. Due to its 360 degree view, there really isn't a back or front to food and drink placement for all the cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation units, with the exception of the unit that would house food and beverages side by side. There is also a Drink Band and Drink Band Slot which assist in keeping the drinks stable during transport. The Band is attached one side of the unit and wraps around the drink. The band is then attached to the other side by use of a non-toxic glue adhesive. The band could also be attached on one side, with the other side running through a slot on the opposite side of the drink. Having a slot will allow accommodations and extra room for drinks of various sizes, shapes and configurations, with the presences of extra band material. The end of the band would then pass through the slot, and attach to the back of the unit through the use of a non-toxic glue or equivalent viscous medium. Drink Bands for all units could be designed from paper, cardboard, sturdy plastic, elastic or other mediums.
[0118] Since it is an open concept, the straw holder could be placed in either designated areas. It is not required, but rather, straws can be dropped in on either side. There are pocket spaces for the addition of food or storage items. These pockets can be placed in either the food or drink side, or on both sides. One elongated pocket could also be designed. The pocket could be placed near the handle in an elongated, single or in a two by two design and juts out from the unit.
[0119] If placed directly under the handle in front of the unit, the pockets juts out one to two inches from the panel.
They could be placed on either the side of the food and beverages designated areas, or it could be placed near the handle on the back or outside of the unit. Or one larger pocket that can run from handle to bottom of the unit, or middle of the unit to the bottom.
[0120] Placement of pockets on this design is not limited to the options above, but could also be placed in the middle of the designated areas, on the sides or front or back or on the bottom of the unit. It would be either an elongated pocket, a single or a two by two pocket. It could also contain a combination of pockets on the inside and outside. Placement of the pockets are not limited to the options above, but could be placed in any single or multiple combination on the unit. With this design, it creates a side by side configuration of the drink on one side and the food next to it.
[0121] Also, on the side designated for food, there is a Food Designated Area Bottom Panel which has a light plastic coating that would be useful in keeping the food slightly elevated and the bottom protected from moisture and oil deposits that occur from the food. Either one or a combination of both could lead to structural failure. The coating could be available in both chambers.
[0122] The Cardboard Unit Design could also be designed with the food in one chamber and the drinks in the other chamber creating a back to back design, with a Back Panel separating the chamber areas. The open sides and front can either be designed with a straight line or at a slant, also, the Cup Holders which contains a concaved design along with the Drink Band and Drink Slots, work together to assist in keeping the drinks stable during transport.
[0123] The Cup Holders are coated with a light plastic coating which will help maintain the structural integrity of the unit in the event of moisture. Although all the cardboard units are utilizing the Drink Band, a Beverage Ring Holder Pad could also be designed on the units. Overall, the Cardboard design for all open units, can either be square, oval, circle, triangle, rectangle or hybrid, of square-circle, square-oval, or any combination not mentioned. In the food chambers, there is a Food Designated Area Bottom Panel which is a slightly raised platform, designed as added protection in case of oil or moisture leakage, the panel would protect the structural integrity of the unit. A thin coating or film of plastic could be applied the panel to help further assist in protecting the structural integrity of the unit. The device could also be designed with a Cardboard Insert as well, which would be placed at the bottom the unit.
[0124] A light coating of plastic could be applied to the Cardboard Panel Insert, or both the panel or the insert could be designed without a coating. The handle is cut out of the Back Panel and it is reinforced to help carry the unit. The handle can also run front to back but could also run side to side.
[0125] All units that are constructed using paper or cardboard, contain a reinforced handle, which contains a thicker paper center, and can be designed along with the thicker paper a plastic coating or equivalent material that would be able to reinforce and maintain the structural integrity of the handle. This would keep the handle from tearing, fraying or coming apart during stationary or mobile transit of the food and drink items. Pockets could be placed on upper side near the handle within the designated spaces and can even be placed one on each side. Pockets could also be placed around the bottom, with either one on each side, two by two on each side or one elongated pocket that runs around the bottom of the unit.
[0126] Placement of the pockets are not limited to the options above, but could be placed in any single or multiple combination on the unit as well as placement in the upper, middle or lower portions of the unit.
[0127] With this configuration, it is designed as a one cup holder, but could also be constructed as a two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven and twelve cup design. The unit could be constructed to accommodate a higher configuration of cup holders. There is also designated areas.
[0128] Another design option, is to continue the open concept in cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation, with multiple drink holders side by side on one side and a designated area for food in other or opposite side. Creating a beverage in the front and food placed directly behind them. Due to the 360 degree view of the food and drinks, there isn't a true front or back to the unit. With a quantity of two, it would carry the same design components as the previous unit, but it would contain two side by side Designated Area for Beverage both containing concaved space located with the Cup Holders, Beverage Ring Holder Pad and unit.
[0129] There is a light plastic coating on the wells, to help ensure structural integrity will be maintained in the event of moisture. The Cup Holders are concaved which will assist in keeping the drinks stable during transport. There is also a Drink Band and Drink Slots that will assist in keeping the drinks stable.
[0130] With the two cup design, the Cup Holders are separated with a Beverage Separation Panel. The Back Panel would separate the drinks from the food. Placement of the food that is housed in the Designated Area for foods is on one side of the panel, in an open concept container and the drinks which will sit side by side, in the other open concept container. The handle which is reinforced, is carved out of the Back Panel. The handle could also be placed from side to side or from front to back. Since it is an open concept, the Straw Holder could be placed in either designated areas. It is not required, but rather, straws can be dropped in on either side.
[0131] This version would contain interior upper pockets that could be placed on either side of the designated spaces. Either one elongated pocket or a two by two pocket.
[0132] Also, pockets may be designed towards the bottom of the unit that run one on each side, two side by side on each side, or one elongated pocket that runs around the bottom of the unit. Also, the unit could be designed with multiple pockets in various locations on the unit. Placement of the pockets are not limited to the options above, but could be placed in any single or multiple combination on the unit. This is a double drink unit on one side and food on the opposite side. The drink configuration is not limited to just a two cup holder. But it could be designed as a one, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve cup as well and even could be constructed to accommodate a higher configuration of cup holders.
[0133] Another design option is to design the unit in a circular fashion. The unit which is constructed out of cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation is a four chamber configuration. The designated food area is located within the interior of the unit, and the designated drink area on the exterior. It could even be designed with the food on the outside and the drinks on the inside. The drinks are separated by Beverage Separation Panels, thus creating individual drink housing. It also contains Cup Holders concaved interior within the holders along with a plastic coating that will help support and maintain the structural integrity of the unit in the event of moisture, with the option of adding a Beverage Ring Holder Panel. A Stationary Food Separation Panel is placed around the exterior of the unit, but also be designed without this feature.
[0134] There is also a Drink Band which will also assist in keeping the drinks stable. The Food Separation Panel and the food designated area which are located within the unit, contains a Back Panel which splits the food designated area in half allowing for the placement of food items on either side of the panel. The handle which is carved out of the panel, has a reinforced center, which will help carry the unit.
[0135] The handle can also run front to back or side to side. Under this configuration, three, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, or twelve combinations or more could be created.
[0136] Individual or one complete construction of Food Separation Panels would be used to separate the food from the beverage. Drink Band Slot for the Drink Bands are also located on the unit. They will offer extra room for the addition of larger drink items. There are also food and drink designated areas.
[0137] The concept could be either closed top or an open concept. This version could even be designed in a stackable method, with the drinks on bottom and food on top separated with either an affixed or removable Food separation Panel. The unit could also be constructed to include additional pockets and storage areas. Another design option is to create the same unit concept with all of the corresponding interior and exterior features, look, design of the plastic versions, except in cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation form and utilizing either the affixed Food Separation Panel or the removable Food Separation Panel.
[0138] Another design option for the Food and Beverage Carrier, is to design the unit with a dome and base combination. The dome design has a handle that is carved from the top. The unit is made of food grade BPA free plastic. The entire dome lifts up and is secured to the base with locks which are located on the bottom of the unit. When the locks are engaged, the unit is secure and will prevent separation of the dome from its base. The base is circular, and is stackable, enabling multiple units to rest upon one another when not in use. The unit could also be constructed as an oval, triangle, rectangle, square or hybrid combinations of square-circle, square-oval or oval and rectangle, any combinations not mentioned is covered.
[0139] Contained within the base are slots for food and beverages. For the beverages, there are Designated Area for Beverage with Cup Holders which are concaved to help assist in the stability of the drinks during transport. The holders are also designed high enough which will also help with keeping the drinks stable.
[0140] The concaved areas have a center of stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy with a silicone overlay, which could either be concaved alone or with arms that extend downward. Also, a sturdier plastic that is bendable and capable of holding its shape when not engaged, could be used with or without a silicone overlay that would also assist in keeping the drinks stable. There is a Beverage Ring Holder Pad which will aid in helping to keep the drinks stable. It is removable, but can be affixed to the cup holders.
[0141] Food Wells are used to hold the food within the Designated Area for Food. These are raised section where the foods can be placed. This area can also double as storage for smaller items and foods. This unit is designed with the drinks on the outside and the food on the inside. There is a Storage Area on the Removable Base, Feet, Side Locks, Removable Food Separation Panel.
[0142] Molded Arms, the Unit, the handle, Raised Beverage Holder Wells, Straw Holder and Rings, Storage Panel Pull Tab, Plastic Drink Holder Panel which the drinks pass through for added stability and optional use for food storage or personal storage items. Food can be stored below the Plastic Drink Holder Panel as well as above, this will add storage space for food, bottled drinks or personal items, and the Lid.
[0143] The unit could also be designed with the food chamber on the outside and the drinks on the inside on the Removable Base, or, it could even be designed with the Food Wells separating the Designated Drink Area, or, they could be placed with the Food Wells on one side of the Removable Base and the Designated Drink Area on the other side. The base contains a storage area for additional food items or storage of small items. The placement of the interior components are not limited to the placement mentioned, but can be arranged in any configuration. But rather, the components and functions are the focus.
[0144] Another design for the Food and Beverage Carrier, is to design the unit to house the drinks and beverages within the chamber together. It is still an open concept, but is designed with a four panel closure. There are handle openings on each lid and when the top is brought together, it creates a handle which contains reinforced opening. There are slots on the flaps, so when they are brought together, it creates a locked lid, which makes for easier handling. A Back Panel could be added that would separate the right from the left of the unit and allowing extra stability for the lid when closed. This Back Panel is an optional design and could be omitted. There are Cup Holders that contain concaved areas.
[0145] The interior is an open chamber, which is separated by the use of Affixed Food Separation Panels and Beverage Separation Panels and lid. Drink Bands, and Drink Band Slots. The use of these panels creates mini chambers within the main chamber, with both food and drinks now housed together in one interior open concept chamber. The lid consist of four flaps, when raised form the handle and contain interlocking tabs and slots that work to hold the flaps together to form the handle and enable the unit to be safely transported. There is also a Base, The Beverage Ring Holder Pad and the Food Designated Area Bottom Panel.
[0146] The unit could be designed with the addition of Pockets, Food Wells, Drink Wells, Food Bands which work along with the Separation Panels, to separate the food and drinks, at the same time by providing extra space to house additional food items and personal items. Food could be stacked which would allow for extra room as well. Food Bands could be used to hold food items that are within the unit, securely in place. Placement of these bands could be located anywhere within the chambers. The unit is an interior open design concept with a lid, therefore a Straw Holder is not necessary, but, it could be designed with one. The Cup Holders are coated with a plastic in the event of moisture. The plastic coating is useful in helping keep the structural integrity of the cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparations during transit. The Cup Holders are concaved, for added stability and will help secure the drinks during transport.
[0147] At the bottom of both units, is a cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation insert with a plastic coating. This unit can also be designed without the coating on the insert or the Cup Holders. The coating is useful in helping keep the structural integrity of the cardboard or equivalent weighed paper used in food handling and preparation during transit.
[0148] All components, ideas, images, designs and embodiments pertaining to the plastic version is implied to the construction of the cardboard, paper or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation and Canvas or material version. Up to and not limited to size, cup configuration, discussion of Food and Beverage Separation Panels, Storage options, Pockets and Pouches, Molded Arms, Cup Holders, Concaved spaces, Designated areas, Mounting and Ring Holder, Silicone Rings, Opening and Locking apparatus, Drink and Food Bands, slots and wells, Zippers. Drink Holders, Straw Holders, any and all design components that are implied, executed, expressed and applied to the construction of the plastic and silicone components, paper, cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation concept and Canvas are covered under this application.
[0149] Note, Pockets locations for the cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation device, can be placed either at the bottom of the unit in the design formation of just one, which could be just a single pocket that is placed on the unit or one short pocket on every side. It could be designed by placing two pockets side by side on just one side, or they could be placed two by two on every side. Or, it could be designed with one elongated pocket that could be placed on just one side, or around the bottom of the unit. Pockets could be placed either around the exterior bottom, or placed within the interior bottom of the designated areas. There could also be an elongated pocket which could be located either in one or both of the designated areas, or on back.
[0150] Pockets could also be placed just below the handle or on the sides of the handle either within one or both of the designated areas, or on back. Shorter pockets could be located in either one or both of the designated areas as well as the back of the unit. This list is not exhaustive, as the pockets could also be placed in multiple sets or single and can be placed in any combination on the unit. The placement of pockets is not limited to the quantity nor position, as other pockets could be added to the unit. By creating the unit in cardboard or an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation and paper which is also in an equivalent weighted paper used in food handling and preparation, the unit with its collapsible design, is able to fold flat, which will allow for easy storage making this design concept ideal for fast food, take out, and general personal use.
[0151] Another concept of the device, is to construct the Food Beverage Carrier in a canvas or equivalent material that is either soft or sturdy. The exterior of the unit could be fashioned in a variety of patterns that could be useful in future designs and applications. The fabric handle is affixed by use of stainless steel or equivalent metal alloy. It can also be sewn, glued or applied using techniques not mentioned. The interior of the unit has insulated properties which is made with a metallic, metalized, opaque, thermal or multi insulation material.
[0152] The canvas unit could also be made with a non-insulated property as well. To open the unit, The Exterior Zipper would be placed in the front. The unit could also open by use of a hook and loop fastener or any method to open and close a unit not mentioned. Once the zipper has been engaged and the unit is open from one side to the other, the drinks would be placed directly onto the Cup Holders with its concaved interiors. The food would be placed on the Stationary Food Separation Panels, which are affixed on one side to the unit, and Molded Arms. The Food Separation Panels could also be affixed on both sides, which would eliminate the need for Molded Arms. There is a Straw Holder and Rings, Interior pockets. The Beverage Ring Holder Pad to help secure the drinks during transport, it could also be designed without one.
[0153] Drink Bands (would be designed in elastic which would make it easier for the placement of drinks. The unit could also be designed with a Beverage Mounting Panel, the inner plastic core with the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. The mounting unit, could be made with the same soft material as the inside of the unit. Or with a soft pliable plastic with a soft material overlay. With this configuration, the drinks would be placed through the Beverage Mounting Panel and the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder on to the Cup Holders, which is either stationary or affixed. There would be no need for a Drink Band. The unit could be designed with a Removable or Affixed Food Separation Panel as well. Molded Arms would be designed to hold the panel, for the removable and affixed version. The Food Separation Panels if affixed or stationary, would be affixed to the inside of the unit, and would be raised or lowered onto the Molded Arms.
[0154] The Removable Food Separation Panel, would be stored either on the interior, or on the base of the Canvas unit. The inside of the storage space contains a Storage Band will hold the panels. This space could be used to store additional items. There is also a Base.
[0155] Due to the pliability of the canvas or equivalent material, the unit contains Cardboard Inserts for Insulation model as well as for the non-insulated model. The inserts sits between the outer fabric and the fabric or plastic used on the inside. These inserts are located around the entire unit, and may be designed as individual panels or as one solid panel that is placed between the materials. It should be noted that due to the construction of previous units that are insulated, it is possible to design this unit without a Cardboard insert if it is deemed unnecessary and/or the cardboard would make the unit less effective or interfere with the unit to perform as an insulated unit.
[0156] The interior of the unit is insulated, with either a metallic, thermal, multi-insulation, non-metallic or opaque material. It can also be constructed by using a non-insulated food grade plastic or equivalent material. By reinforcing the fabric, this will maintain the shape of the structure and make it stable during transit.
To further stabilize the unit, Feet would be added to the bottom.
[0157] The feet are constructed using a sturdy plastic or, it could be designed using metal or any material not mentioned. The unit is sewn to prevent exposure of the cardboard to the elements. Other mediums not mention could also secure the unit and prevent the compromise of the insulation, cardboard or any design elements located in and around the unit.
[0158] The unit could also be designed with a top zipper opening system. By using a zipper or hook and loop fastener, the unit would open, and drinks would first be placed onto the Cup Holders. The Beverage Ring Holder Pad is optional as a design element. The Affixed Food Separation Panels would be lowered onto the Molded Arms that do not contain a magnet, or, the Removable Food Separation Panel would be lowered onto the Molded Arms that do not contain a magnet. The non-magnet versions, are designed using a sturdier material that is food safe and nontoxic. Food would then be placed within the Designated Area for Food. Straw Holder and Rings would be placed within the Designated Area for Beverage, with storage space for the panels located on the interior of the unit. The storage space could also be located on the back or front of the unit, with either a zipper, hook and loop fastener or snap closure to securely close the opening to the storage space and to hold the panels without the risk of misplacement. In an open storage space area concept, no closure would be desired and the panels would be inserted in the opening. Optional pocket space could be located either on the top, bottom, sides, front or back of the unit in either an elongated, a singular or a two by two configuration in multiple positions on the unit both inside and or outside.
[0159] With this design concept in canvas, the unit could be constructed in an oval, circle, square, rectangle, triangle or any hybrid combination of oval-circle, oval-square, or any hybrid combination or singular construction not mentioned. Also, the unit could be designed as a two beverage holder, with a Beverage Separation Panel separating the space located within the Designated Area for Beverage Multiple drink configurations are also available for this design.
[0160] Having the Cardboard Inserts for Insulation the Model along with the Feet, would assist in maintain the structural integrity of the unit, while the exterior and interior are covered with a food grade plastic and canvas or equivalent material.
[0161] The unit could also be designed using a middle zipper to open the unit, which would separate the two designated areas, creating separate and enclosed containment for the food and beverages The entire top of the unit, would be a compartment for the food and the lower portion, would be the containment area for the drinks.
[0162] To access the Designated Space for the food, there would be an additional zipper that would be located near the top of the handle. The unit could also employ a hook and loop fastener as an opening mechanism. Having a separate containment area for the food would eliminate the need for the removable Food Separation Panel, the Affixed Food Separation Panel or the Stationary Food Separation Panels, due to the fact that the enclosed Designated Food Area, contains a bottom that will act as all three. The Molded Arms are also an unnecessary feature. The food would be inserted in the Designated Area for Food which could also act as a storage area for personal items. There is a Storage Band which could be utilized to hold additional food items as well as storage for smaller items.
[0163] To access the bottom of the unit that houses the drinks, the zipper would be engaged exposing the interior of the Designated Area for Drinks. In this area, drinks will be placed directly onto the Cup Holders and secured using the Beverage Mounting Panel and the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. The Beverage Mounting Panel is either removable or affixed to the unit. There are Straw Holder and Rings. For the two cup holder, there is a Beverage Separating Panel located between the drinks. The unit could also be designed with the insulation properties with thermal, multi-insulation, insulation, opaque, metallic, metalized or an equivalent material whose function is to maintain the temperature of the interior contents.
This unit could also be designed without a Beverage Mounting Panel or Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. Instead, the unit would contain a Drink Band that the drinks would go through.
[0164] The drinks would then fit onto the Cup Holders and Beverage Ring Holder Pad with an optional additional panel design with arms, to cover the drinks or designed as an open concept with the bottom of the upper food housing, as the covering for the drinks. Pockets are added for extra storage or for additional food items and a Straw Holder and Rings is added for the straws.
[0165] The unit also contains the Inner Core that is useful in supporting the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. However, the Mounting and Ring Holder could be constructed by using a plastic or variant on the material, metallic, metalized, thermal or insulated panel to with or with the inner core, to create a Mounting and Ring Holder combination. Outside Storage on the Lid, the Handle, The Exterior Zippers, the Lid, The Feet), The Storage Space on the Canvas base, The Additional Food Separation Panel and the Molded Arms.
[0166] Another design option, is to design the Food and Beverage Carrier as a Canvas unit or equivalent material, with multiple compartments for placement of food and drink. The carrier is in the shape of an oval-square, however, it could be designed as a circle, square, rectangle, triangle or any hybrid design. The back of the unit, contains an Exterior Zipper that runs completely around the back of the unit, exposing an area that houses food items. The Designated Area for Food, Food Bands, an Interior Zipper Pouch that will be used to further separate food items, or it could be useful for storage.
[0167] Directly in front of the Designated Food Area compartment, is the Designated Area for Beverage. This compartment contains an Exterior Zipper, when engaged, exposes an interior that is designated for drinks. There is a Cup Holder with a concaved area, a Beverage Ring Holder Pad which is optional. The drinks are placed though a Drink Band, which will be used to hold the drinks during transport. The material used is elastic for the bands. It could also be designed with a Removable Food Separation Panel, with Molded Arms or bars to offer additional food and or personal storage.
[0168] A Beverage Mounting Panel and the Plastic Beverage Ring Holder could also be designed within the Designated Area for Drinks. Drinks would be placed through the mounting panel and directly onto the Cup Holders. If the mounting panel is used, it would eliminate the need for the Drink Band.
[0169] Due to the material used in the final configuration for all soft side or hard side material or Canvas, Food and Beverage Carriers, the Cardboard Insert as well as the Cardboard Inserts for the Insulation Model are optional, and the unit could be designed without the added inserts, and the insulation and or the material alone, could in fact be stiff enough to support the structural design while still performing as an insulated unit, or a non-insulated unit.
[0170] The interior of the unit is made of a plastic, opaque, metalized, metallic or equivalent material that is used for its insulation, thermal or multi-layered insulation purposes and functions. There is a Front Zipper and a Front Pouch which is used as additional space for food or personal items. There are Feet located at the bottom of the unit and this version of the Food and Beverage Carrier could be constructed as non-insulated which may contain the Cardboard Inserts that would help in stabilizing the unit. Also, contains a Storage Band.
[0171] The Canvas unit could also be designed in the shape that is not limited to a tote or handbag. The interior would act as insulated or non-insulated, with a Stationary Food Separation Panel used to separate the interior Designated Areas. Drink Bands would be used to secure the drinks to the side of the drink area. The Designated Area for Drinks contain the Cup Holder, the Beverage Ring Holder Pad the concaved area. The unit could also be designed with the Beverage Mounting Panel, inner core and Plastic Beverage Ring Holder.
On the side which contains the food, there is a Food Designated Area Bottom Panel and Food Bands along the sides of the interior of the food housing area, that would assist in holding additional foods in place during transport. There is also an Interior Zippered Pouch and storage at the base of the unit.
[0172] Another concept of the Food and Beverage Carrier in Canvas, is to construct the unit in the shape of a tote. The Canvas unit could also be designed in the shape that is not limited to a tote, but in any shape or form that could be or would be used to carry food and drink items such as but not limited to, backpacks, lunch pails, lunch bags, duffle bags, handbags, cooler, messenger bags or the like.
[0173] The interior of the unit is constructed as non-insulated. The materials used for construction, are plastic, vinyl, opaque, fabric, metalized, metallic or equivalent material that would be useful in constructing the inside of the tote, enabling it along with cardboard inserts, to hold the items in one unit. Depending upon the exterior materials used, the unit could be constructed without a cardboard insert. If insulated, the materials used are either plastic, vinyl, opaque, metalized, metallic, or any material with an insulation, thermal, multi thermal or insulated property, both interior and or exterior. Exterior materials is a canvas material, but it could be constructed with plastic, vinyl, opaque, fabric, metalized, metallic or an equivalent material that is either sturdy or pliable. The interior of the unit is divided by a Stationary Food Separation Panel which would be used to separate the Designated Area for drinks from the Designated Area for food, there are also Pockets on the exterior as well as interior. Drink Bands would be used to secure the drinks to the interior of the Designated Area for drinks.
[0174] The Designated Area for Drinks contain the Cup Holder, the Beverage Ring Holder Pad the concaved area. The unit could also be designed with the Beverage Mounting Panel, inner core and Plastic Beverage Ring Holder. On the side which contains the food, there is a Food Designated Area Bottom Panel and Food Bands along the sides of the interior of the food housing area that would assist in holding additional foods in place during transport. A Food Well and Straw Holder and Rings could also be added.
[0175] There is also an Interior Zippered Pouch, the base and storage at the base of the unit, which is accessed by a Pull Tab, hook and loop closure or a zipper. An Additional Food Separation Panel and Molded Arms or bars and Handle.
