    DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0011] Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a box assembly 1 in accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises a main body 10 and a cap 12 mounted on the main body 10.

[0012] The main body 10 is formed with a receiving space 100 and an opening 102 connected to the receiving space 100. The main body 10 is provided with a plurality of first locking structures 104 located adjacent to the opening 102. The receiving space 100 of the main body 10 is used to store items, such as medicines or the like.

[0013] The cap 12 includes a covering plate 120 and a mounting member 122 extending sideward from the covering plate 120. The mounting member 122 of the cap 12 is inserted into the opening 102 of the main body 10. The mounting member 122 of the cap 12 is provided with a plurality of second locking structures 1220 releasably locked with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10.

[0014] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mounting member 122 of the cap 12 is provided with a plurality of elastic plates 1222 and a plurality of securing pieces (or inserts or plugs) 1224. The second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are provided on the elastic plates 1222 respectively. The elastic plates 1222 are arranged between the securing pieces 1224. The securing pieces 1224 of the cap 12 are inserted into the opening 102 of the main body 10.

[0015] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the mounting member 122 of the cap 12 is provided with a plurality of slits 1226, and each of the slits 1226 is defined between one of the elastic plates 1222 and one of the securing pieces 1224. Thus, the elastic plates 1222 of the cap 12 contract inward by provision of the slits 1226.

[0016] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, each of the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10 is a boss, a projection, a hole, a groove or a cavity. Preferably, each of the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10 is a hole.

[0017] In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, each of the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 is a boss, a projection, a hole, a groove or a cavity. Preferably, each of the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 is a boss.

[0018] In operation, referring to FIGS. 2 and 3 with reference to FIG. 1, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are locked with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, such that the cap 12 is locked onto the main body 10. When the user applies a force on the covering plate 120 of the cap 12, to pull the cap 12 outward relative to the main body 10, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 interfere with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, such that the elastic plates 1222 of the cap 12 are pressed to gradually contract inward by provision of the slits 1226, until the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are released from the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10. When the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are released from the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, the cap 12 is detached from the opening 102 of the main body 10 as shown in FIG. 3.

[0019] On the contrary, the mounting member 122 of the cap 12 is inserted into the opening 102 of the main body 10, with the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 aligning with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10 as shown in FIG. 2. When the elastic plates 1222 of the cap 12 are inserted into the opening 102 of the main body 10, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 presses the inner wall of the main body 10, such that the elastic plates 1222 of the cap 12 are pressed to contract inward by provision of the slits 1226. When the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 align with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are moved outward by the restoring force of the elastic plates 1222, and are locked with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10 as shown in FIG. 1, such that the cap 12 is locked onto the main body 10.

[0020] Accordingly, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are locked with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, such that the cap 12 is locked onto the main body 10 solidly and steadily, thereby preventing the cap 12 from being removed from the main body 10 inadvertently, and thereby preventing the medicines from falling from the main body 10. In addition, the second locking structures 1220 of the cap 12 are locked with the first locking structures 104 of the main body 10, such that it is necessary to apply a larger force on the cap 12 so as to remove the cap 12 from the main body 10, thereby preventing the box assembly 1 from being opened unintentionally, and thereby preventing the medicine in the main body 10 from being eaten by the child.

[0021] Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment(s) as mentioned above, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the scope of the present invention. It is, therefore, contemplated that the appended claim or claims will cover such modifications and variations that fall within the scope of the invention.
