Silicone Toilet Lift Chain

Abstract

This invention applies to household appliances, specifically the common household toilet. Current conventional toilet design contains a metal Toilet Lift Chain which easily tangles and causes an unintended and continuous flow of water. By using a (1) rust-proof, (2) erosion resistant and (3) tangle resistant material such as silicone, the Silicone Toilet Lift Chain prevents tangles, thus preventing unintended and continuous flow of water.

Claims

1. A connecting apparatus comprising: a silicone chain or band; with a loop at each end of the band.

2. A connecting apparatus as in claim 1, wherein said loops are secured to the flapper and toilet handle lever within a toilet reservoir; and replace the Toilet Lift Chain's function.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0008] This invention, the Silicone Toilet Lift Chain, is a length of silicone that connects the toilet handle lever to the flapper inside a standard toilet reservoir. It replaces the current standard metal chain found in toilets.

[0009] Each end of the Silicone Toilet Lift Chain has a loop that allows for connection to the securing rings on the end of the toilet handle lever and flapper. (FIG. 2)

[0010] The Silicone Toilet Lift Chain can vary in length depending on the toilet model, but should span the distance between the toilet handle lever's ring and the flapper's ring with less than 1.5 cm of extra length to enable full use of the flush mechanism.
